Poor dogs, I feel like they are so neglected. But then they will soon have a quarter of an acre to run around on. I went to a home improvement store today with the intention of buying paint and some curtain rods and drapes for the new place but ended up leaving with nothing more than a few paint chips. First I got all indecisive about the paint colors (it's a dark purple in the hallway and bedrooms now, so not staying!) and so I went to buy the curtains, but I can not make myself spend $60 on a curtain rod or $30 for one curtain panel. Lyla's new room alone has 4 windows! The living room has one very wide window, 2 in the dining/den area etc. I have some mismatched short, cheap ones from here that I can take with us, but I would like to actually decorate our new home.

What about sewing your own? I'm sure anything you'd make would be better than what you could buy in the store.

Anna that's why we have cheap Walmart curtains and rods in our house. I'm cheap.

Yeah, I could do that. It's just so time consuming and I'm impatient. I want it all done right now. But really, it's dumb for me to want to buy curtains and curtain rods without measuring all the windows and seeing what I have now that I can use. We need to actually get into the house before we do that.

Good night! I'm sorry you are still feeling sick!!

I'd wait till you're moved in and then decide what you want in each room. And if store curtains that you want are too much, then make your own.

It is! These people survived war only to die in a parade to honor them! They were all supposed to be in our current town tomorrow for a parade here and some other activities in their honor. All of that has been cancelled.

How much deep cleaning would you do to a house you are moving out of? I don't know how in depth I should get. This house was completely filthy when we moved into it 5 years ago and I will be doing a deep cleaning of everything in the new house. I'm assuming the new owners will likely clean everything anyway so I was planning on just a superficial cleaning, but is that rude. Should I be scrubbing the tub to a sparkle and dusting all high shelves and such?
