Just curious. Who's napping? Who's not? One or two naps? How long? Is it a battle, easy, or depends on the day?

Aiden is taking 2 naps currently. Sadly, neither nap lasts longer than an hour. Before we left for our family road trip, Aiden was easy most days to put down for a nap. We're trying to get back to that but it probably won't happen since in little over a week DS and I leave to visit family. Half the time Aiden goes right to sleep without a fuss with me putting him down awake, the other half of the time it takes multiple trips to get him to sleep!

Evan usually has one long nap, anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours. Sometimes, he may take a late afternoon nap, but then it's later to bed on those days. Unless we are in the car in the afternoon, it's just the one. He goes down pretty easy for those naps.

we go by his mood. Most days he has one 2-3 hour nap. When he has 2 naps they are 1.5-2 hours each

Lyla is transitioning to one nap, I think. Some day's she will take 2, but she's had a few lately where she will only take one nap. Since she was about 6 months old it's been extremely rare for her to take a nap that lasts more than an hour. If I get an hour out of her, I call it a good nap.

Some days she will go right to sleep when I put her down, others she will fuss and sometimes even happily play for in there for up to 20 minutes before falling asleep.

An issue that I feel like needs to change is the routine. She requires it to be cool and dark for her to nap, so there is no napping anywhere but home. And we got into this routine of nursing to sleep while rocking in the glider when she was teeny tiny and it has continued. Now she requires that routine (except now with her bottle) in order to go to sleep. I put her down awake, but first she has to finish her bottle while I rock her.

Anna, we do a routine of rocking and reading. Aiden sits in my lap facing out. That change of position really helped him to stop wanting the boob to go to sleep. Took a bit to get him to accept that right away, but we got there fairly easily.

Aiden used to be such a good napper taking 2 two hour naps! Then he started sleeping mostly though the night and that stopped.

Teagan takes one nap that's about 2 hours long. She goes down easy most days. She gets a little tired around 10 and sometimes falls alseep in the car on the way to daycare. A nap that early is not good for anyone so I usually wake her up when we get to daycare. Weekends are interesting. She only took 1 one hour nap this afternoon and then slept for about an hour while we were out this evening. Its now 9:15 and she's still up.

Sometimes Rowan refuses to take any naps at all, preferring to walk around and scream.

When I'm lucky, she'll nap for up to two hours around mid-day. When I'm unlucky, she'll nap for less than 45 minutes.

Odin has been down to one nap since 6 months old. Usually 2-3 hours mid-day while my preschool kids nap. Last week he was crazy and only slept like 30-40 min. all day but I'm thinking it was the 'verge of walking no sleeping thing'. Today he slept for 3.5 hours during his normal time. He is exhausted by noon and NEEDS that nap.

Still nurses to sleep for nap as well.
