monkey!!!

turns out I have a monkey in the house:rolleyes: lol. it is now impossible to change diapers, cuddle, get him dressed and just keep him still in general. changing diapers is the WORST!! dressing him is pretty bad too but the diaper is a bigger issue lol. giving him toys used to work and now they work for 5 seconds if i am lucky. he is twisting and turning all over the place, not fun when his butt is full of poop!! lol. i have to be super quick and if i am lucky i will get his diaper on properly. we are getting occasional leaks because his diaper not being on properly from on the wiggling. Monkey!!!!

this is his newest trick. climbing up his chair and then freaking out when he gets stuck. he has already fallen out once and just goes right back to it

Poopy diapers + wiggling baby = ewwww!! In the last few weeks I have noticed Evan wiggling around like crazy when it's diaper/clothes change time. But thankfully, he doesn't really start it until I get him cleaned up from the dirty diaper and trying to put the clean one on. I bet it's hard to do when they start wiggling like yours is.

There's a reason I call Teagan monkey ;). I'm surprised you even have the bouncy chair out! We put that thing away months ago! Diaper changes are the absolute worst. She's better on the change table but it still takes a lot more effort than it used to. I'm trying to avoid poopy diapers completely by getting her to use her potty for poops. Oddly enough she'll sit still for that. I think she's only had like 1 poopy diaper in that last 3 weeks :p!

I bribe DS with remotes and my cell phone to change his diaper. Lol

And DS's newest trick? Trying to stand while BFing. Real fun. Wink

Teagan tries to do handstands while nursing. Super fun. She also opens her mouth wide and dives for it. I just lie there and feel like I'm being attacked.

Ugh, yes. Diaper changes have become frustrating. However I agree with Erin, they are better on the actual changing table. She seems to know she can 't get anywhere on there.

Sounds like Simon. He's definitely a little monkey!!! I agree that changing on the change table is much easier but he still flails around. Changing poopy diapers is the worst, and I too have had some blow outs because I dont think thee diaper was put on correctly because he's soooooooo squirmy and on the move.

Erin, it is a grow with me chair so he can use it until he is a toddler. he doesn't use it a lot anymore though.

we don't have a change table so most of his diaper changes happen on the couch. i now put a blanket under his butt just in case lol. he sits up when eating all the time too and if he hears something he likes he squirms to look at who is making the noise.

LOL!!! Sophie is a wiggle worm now too... I CAN NOT get her to lay still for me to change her diaper either! She flips and flops all over the place and tries to sit up... Oh, and the kicker?! She'll laugh while she's doing it!!! LOL!! She KNOWS what she's doing and thinks it's hilarious!! LOL!!

Ooh we had this problem too. What worked for me is i will start to sing a song. He will focus on my face while i sing long enough for me to change him. He also does a thing where he arches his back when i try to lay him down.

My little monkey has managed to fall off something just about every hour on the hour today. She nearly dove head first over the armrest of the couch this morning. GRAVITY, child! GRAVITY!

Being a monkey must come along with the name Lucas. Biggrin LOL Mine never sits still! I have found that if I sing to him while I change his diaper he sits still long enough for me to finish changing him. Also I recruit my DD to distract him for awhile. It would work better if she would stay still for a minute too! Lol
