Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about this?

So Aiden has a new "trick." He likes to hide food in his checks, under his tongue, and other mysterious places that I haven't figured out yet. Well, we figured all we needed to do when we learned he was doing this was to check his mouth after meals. I do that and yet 30 minutes to even an hour later this kid produces chewed food (it doesn't have any stomach juices look to it, so I'm pretty sure it's not well ya know....). This morning an hour after breakfast while in the middle of Stroller Strides this kid spits chewed up egg all over himself. Ew. Then again this afternoon when I was first trying to get him down for a nap he apparently was really saving up his toast from lunch. I go in there and find toast pieces allllllll over him, the sheet, his lovely, just everywhere!!! Is anybody else's kid doing this? It started off with him spitting out food during mealtime after chewing it. We figured that was his way of saying he's full and he'd usually sign "all done" afterwards. No big deal. But this whole saving it deal is even more gross to me. Seeing his crib this afternoon seriously grossed me out big time and I don't have a weak stomach normally! I check his mouth after meals, but he's obviously hiding it somewhere that I can't notice before he tries to bite off my finger.
