Naps

Hey ladies
How is everyone's LOs napping? Simon I think want to go to 1 nap, about about 1130 til 1ish. Makes for a long busy day. But at least he sleeps from 8pm til about 7am.

Lucas generally naps well. On the very rare days he will skip naps or sleep for an hour. He goes down around 10 or 11 and will sleep for 2.5-3 hours. when he sleeps this long he is ok, but if he only sleeps for an hour or skips naps it is a little rough.

Lyla is down to one nap that last about an hour to an hour and a half.

Every time Aiden just does one nap he becomes meltdown baby before dinner, so we're still doing two naps. Longest he'll nap is an hour and a half, but definitely not consistent. Though maybe he would if we didn't have the cat. *sigh*

Teagan is solidly down to one nap per day. She naps from 12:30-2:30(ish) at daycare during the week. Weekends, she'll usually nap from 1-2(ish). There's clearly waaay too much fun going on at our house for more napping. She sleeps from 8pm-8am (with multiple make ups to nurse ... there is no STTN). On very rare occasions she'll go without a nap. No one is very happy when she does that.

The transition to one nap was not easy. It was kinda forced on us when she moved up to the one year old classroom. They'd let her nap whenever she wanted but she was on the cusp of transitioning anyway so we just toughed it out for about a month. She was always falling asleep in the car on the way to daycare and I had to "rough her up" a bit to get her to wake up. If I let her nap at daycare she'd want to nap again at 4 and then she wouldn't go to bed until like midnight. Nuh uh. Naps have always been weird for a little while when she's working on dropping one.

Lainey's still working on transitioning from 2 to 1. It really depends on when she gets up in the morning, and if she has to ride along to drop big sis off/pick up from preschool. That ride in the car tends to knock her out and throw the schedule off.

Odin been down to 1 nap since about 6 months. I think cause of the routine we have with the preschool kids during the week. Its usually about 2-3 hours around noon, unless he is on a sleep strike for some reason.

Ronin still believes sleep is optional, his naps are all over the place, but start of next year he will be on one a day because that is the schedule in the toddler room. He goes down to bed anywhere between 8:30 and 10pm and wakes up between 6 and 7am with multiple wake ups during the night.

Tobey was sleeping fine-one 2 hour nap-until the separation anxiety started and now he's really over tired and only sleeps an hour a day Sad

He is at one nap usually about 1230 for 1.5 hours. If he does two naps he will not sleep till like 11. This has worked for us for about 3 months now.

OMG Simon will not nap today. He's been up since 7am and it's almost 1pm. This does not make my poor back feel any better!! He fights and fights when I try to get him down. :(:(:( Talk about bad timing!

Lyla did the exact same thing!! She woke up at 7am and started having a meltdown during lunch and refused to eat. She screamed for 30 minutes (and I'm pretty sure I lost some hearing) before she finally settled down enough to fall asleep. I'm hoping for a nice long nap!! Good grief!!

I hope Simon goes to sleep for you soon.

Man! I'm exhausted. I've decided Delaney is going to 1 nap a day. From 12-ish to as long as she will sleep. She's been keeping be up from 3a-5a the last week or so. I can't take it any more.

Isabelle has been down to one nap for a long time, usually around 1-3pm. Today was rough for us as well, she was up at 7:30am (after getting to bed over an hour late last night since we got invited out) and she would NOT go down for her nap today. My dh finally held her in the rocking chair, screaming, till she gave up and fell asleep around 3:30pm. Slept til I woke her up at 6pm and of course is now having a hard time to fall asleep since she slept so late for her nap. Hopefully she will be back on track tomorrow.
