Nicknames for sibblings

For some reason, Juliet calls her brother Joseph: "Sasha".
She can say something that sounds a lot like Joseph, and will repeat Joseph when we ask her. But on her own, she calls him Sasha.

What do your Lo call their sibblings?

Lyla calls Kole 'baby' most of the time. She can say Kole and does, but mostly she refers to him as the baby. My SIL and MIL try to get her to call him Bubby and already talk to Kole about his Sissy. I hate it and don't want them to refer to each other that way, especially since we have dogs names Buddy and Sissy. I never had nicknames for my siblings.

Anna I'd be bothered by the Bubby and Sissy with those dog names. Hello confusion!

My little sister called me "sissy" for years when she was toddler and preschooler. Drove me nuts because friends kept asking why she was calling me a sissy.

Yeah, the Bubby/Sissy thing is very annoying!

Obviously Adair does not have any siblings, but I think it's cute that she totally came up with her own name for my mom. We call her "Granna" (the grandma name she picked before Adair was born) but Adair started calling her "DaDeeDa" before she could say Granna, and it stuck. Now she cay say Granna (or "Ganna", anyway) but she mostly still says DaDeeDa. I hated it at first but like most things that stick around long enough, it's growing on me. Of course my mom LOVES it.

Oh, and the dogs (the closest thing she has to siblings) went through an evolution too. Their names are Roscoe! and Rosie. First she called them RahRah and RoRo, then for a long time it was RahRah and Rosie. Just the past couple of weeks now it's Rocco and Rosie. So close! Lol

Tobey calls Alexander "Dander" It was one of his first words when he was about 8 months old. Actually we all call him Dander now, he even calls himself it when he's talking to Tobey. He calls himself Booby Lol

All the family pets (including grandparents/aunties/uncles) are all called cat/dog unless we tell him the name then he repeats it but off his own back its just cat/dog

Teagan (and most of her friends) calls herself TeaTea. It seems to be the obvious nickname for her as every toddler who has ever met her has adopted that name even without hearing it first. She can say Teagan now but prefers TeaTea.

Teagan decided on her own that my Dad is Baba and his girlfriend is Bubby, which is so freaking cute because Bubby is what Jewish kids often call their Grandmas & she's Jewish. I'm not so keen on Baba so I'll let that one evolve but she definitely identifies him in pictures as Baba. I'm sticking with Bubby though.

ROFL That's adorable and hilarious all at once.

Same with Adair (she can say Teagan and does occasionally, but it's still TeaTea 99% of the time) Baba/Bubby = cute!

Oh, and I forgot to mention what she calls HERSELF. It used to be Addy, but it's been Adair for a long time now...except she pronounces it all southern drawly like "AY-dare" instead of "a-DARE". Kind of cute, although I have NO idea why when it's no easier to say! Sometimes I call her AY-dare now but I try not too do it too much because I don't really want it to stick!

Andrea is Dea. Grady is just Grady to all of them. Clara is Baby Girl. And Noah is Snicklefritz Noddle (it's a name DH called him when I was pregnant and now it's stuck)

Ronin has no siblings but both the cats are generally Pibby, he will sometimes call Olo by his name. He calls himself Nonin, which is freaking cute. Most of the kids at daycare call him Nonin too, though some have mastered the R, one girl only ever calls him baby or bubby though.

Nonin, that's so cute! Yeah, R's are hard for these little guys! Addy can do R's at the beginning of words, but not second letter at all.

No siblings here. But Rowan does say Teagan when referencing Teagan (I was trying to write that sentence without saying Teagan twice in a row).

When my oldest nephew (now 14, OMG!) was a baby, he called my father Bubba, and my parents just loved it, so to their other grandkids they are Nana and Bubba. But I absolutely hate that and am totally opposed, so as a compromise Rowan calls my dad "Grandpa Bubba."

Yeah...it's tough when there's already an established name. Addy's the first (and likely only) on my mom's side, so she had free reign. DH's mom is already "Mimi" to everyone--established by the first grandchild (now 12) who couldn't pronounce "Grammy"...but we all like it so whatever.

Sounds like you came up with a pretty good compromise! Between the two of us, DH and I have multiple stepdads so there are a lot of Grandpa ______ in Addy's life.

Of course, she doesn't call them anything at all. She calls them [insert suspicious look and leg clinging].

So cute! Love all these nicknames!

Olivia calls Ethan - "E-tan", and Ethan calls Olivia "Livy" most of the time. Ethan gets really confused with Aunt and Uncle so he's forever calling Uncle Chris "Auntie Chris". Drives Chris batty! LOL

Lily is Sissy, because Lily is pretty darn hard for a toddler to say and that's what I started calling her to him. Even Lily never said her own name until she was close to 3! He actually will say Lily every once and awhile now, so I think once he can pronounce it better he will drop the Sissy. He doesn't really call himself anything, though has attempted Lucas a few times. Or "woo-cas" :). He calls my dad Papa and my mom Mama, which can make it really confusing! But he thinks it's really funny and if you ask him to say Grandma he will look at you and smile and say "mama!" and then giggle. He does this with my fianc? too, calls him Josh, which is his son's name and just so much easier to say than Richard :), and smiles and giggles every time he does it.

Ha, that reminds me of how Addy likes to call DH "MommyDaddy" sometimes (when she is feeling like she loves him). It is REALLY freaking cute.

When DS says Olivia, it sounds like Wi-vaa, and when he says Landon, it sounds like NanDon Smile

Lainey calls her sister Claire most of the time, sometimes Clairey or Sister. Every once in a while, sissy. Claire likes to refer to herself as "Sissy" when talking to Lainey, so I'm surprised she doesn't use it more.

My parents are Grammy and Papaw, since that is what DD1 could say when she was little and it stuck. MIL and FIL picked their own grandparent nicknames (because they're weird like that) and they are Grams and Pops.
