Ugh, I hate worrying! Neither one of the boys are sitting yet... Brian's getting closer, but I'm not worried about him because he's rolling every which way and he can sit for a few seconds (and I think he enjoys falling over, too. lol). But Micah just rolls from belly to back and has no interest in sitting. He does roll to his side from his back. Both boys are getting better about pushing themselves up, which is new for Micah. Micah just has no interest in sitting - he doesn't even really try.
I know part of the 'problem' is that they were born a little early and part of it is that I just simply don't have the time to 'help' them develop. My pediatrician (who has twins himself) said that twins almost always hit milestones later, but that only makes me feel a tiny bit better.
So is anyone else's LO still not sitting?
Teagan is sitting but I'll tell you that there are 2 babies her age (so, older than your boys) at my weekly baby group that are not sitting up well yet. They represent a full third of the babies in her age group. Try not to worry! You're a rockstar mama and your boys are perfect!
Lainey didn't sit for more than a few seconds at a time until she was 7 months and 2 days old, and it just came out of the blue. One day she was toppling after just a few seconds, the next she was sitting for minutes on end!
Hope that helps, it's hard to not worry!
My ds1 did not sit until close to 8 months as well & had no interest until he just did it one day. It has been like that for all his developmental milestones. Try not to worry mama!

Tobey can sit up but he won't. As I've said on many other posts he just throws himself backwards. DS1 was sitting by the time he was Tobey's age but Tobey is just happy laying there watching his brother and I know he'll do it in his own time, nothing to worry about

My twin boys were, very slow at doing everything they sat about 7months, stood about 9 months and didnt walk untill 15 months. My boys were born 4 weeks early. My health visitor told me that boys are lazyer than girls and plus they twins makes them them even more slower, Hope this helps
DS isn't sitting either. He actually just started rolling from back to tummy 2-3 weeks ago & can't roll the other way yet. He somehow manages to move though - from one corner of the crib to the other, 180 degree turn, etc. But sitting he is pretty floppy - if I position his hands in front of him for support he can stay for a few seconds, but that's it.
It will come!
My next door neighbor's boy who is 8 months is just now sitting well unassisted. He was sitting, but really wobbly at 7 month.
Aiden can sit, but chooses not to. I've been putting him in a sitting position for a few minutes every awake session all week. I put the boppy around him, but he still finds a way to make himself fall down and roll out of it. lol.
Clara isn't sitting for more than a few seconds. She's one of the oldest babies here and she seems to be hitting her milestones a little behind than the rest. She's hitting them, just not as quickly as everyone else's LO's! DD1 hit everything on time or ahead. DS hit them later, same as Clara.
