Yeah, I've given it several opportunities to impress me but it's not worth the effort. It's supposed to be geared towards all ages, but it definitely doesn't work for my kid. I'll eventually find something I guess. At this age though, I can just take her to the park or some place she can run around and climb stuff, it just hard with while carrying around a baby too. Especially since I want to play with her.

Wendy, if we really wants them washed he'll have them nicely gathered for you or even wash them himself. My DH depends on me to do his wash, but he keeps it nicely rounded up and if he wants it bad enough he washes it himself. I'm actually the slobby one here. DH is pretty tidy for the most part.

Janice, I haven't had an eye roll yet but Lyla is majorly defiant. When I tell her not to do something (such as lick the bottoms of her shoes) she runs away and 'hides' and does it anyway. It's super frustrating.

Jackie, no screaming sounds like progress. And at least he's just banging on the door and not screaming and crying. Crying and whining is a total pet peeve of mine, especially when it occurs for no real reason.

Wendy, you should just take your week off. You've more than earned it. They'll survive without you for a week.

So tonight was interesting. Lyla had a massive poopy diaper at the same time that Kole projectile vomited ALL over me and himself. It was like a vomit rain because he made the noise that tells me he's about to vomit so I was in the process of picking him up to face him at the floor. . . I didn't make it. So, being alone, I had organize a poop clean-up and 3 baths while trying to keep one toddler from fussing and one baby from crying. I almost made it. I was drying Lyla and trying to get her dressed when Kole lost it. Gotta love those mommy adventures.

Gee Anna you make life with two kids sound so glamorous! Lol. Well, at least you managed to get everyone cleaned up which is most important. Aiden nor I have had a bath in two days now. Feel more productive?

Oh believe me, it was not bath night for anyone in this house, but it became vital when Kole and I were covered head to toe in vomit and Lyla had near blow-out poop. She already had a bit of a rash earlier today and this nasty mess made her bum bright red, so a good long soak in the tub was called for.

I got Kole's little tub ready, and he's usually pretty content for a few minutes if he's naked so I left him in the crib free-ballin' (as DH calls it), and Lyla and I took a shower, then I filled the tub a bit and threw in some bubble bath for Lyla while I dressed and bathed Kole. Sure Lyla was a little pruney looking by the time it was all said and done, but I was pretty impressed with my skills tonight. The house is a mess. Yes, lots and lots of glamour in being a SAHM of 2 small kids. I'll look forward to your stories when Zoe gets here.

It's better than my BFF. She called today just to complain about what a PITA her 10 month old is. She even told me she resents her because they were done having kids and then she came along. And then having her messed up so many things including BFF's surgery, her school schedule her VA stuff, etc. She's dumb like that. They were trying and when it didn't happen in 4 months time, she gave up and scheduled her mastectomy. . . and then surprise. I could go on, but I won't.

To stop the hitting, I honestly just said "no! that hurts! Dont do that!" I know it sometimes better to redirect, but saying no and being firm got my point across, and he doesnt tell me no all the time, so I dont think it was a bad thing.

Simon has started to shake his head no at times though and says uh-huh, for yes, sort of like humming it. Sooooo cute!

    That poor kid Anna!
And I think you handled your situation really well tonight. You rocked that!

Mona, when I tell Aiden that he just laughs at me and repeats it. *sigh* I try to tell him something else we can do with our hands instead which leads to a distraction. "instead of hitting we can use our hands to read a book!" though by the 20th time of the day I lose my patience for that.

I have done it! I have preserved food! My canned peaches are a success (I think)! I'm still waiting for the lids to pop to know for sure. If they don't pop, we will have 9 quarts of peaches to eat immediately, so they BETTER pop!

ugh, we do that and he usually hits again. DH has a deep voice so it can sound loud when he is being firm. Lucas usually cries when it comes from him

    yay Kristi!

Oh wow, Janice, that's hilarious. But it reminds me, the other day we were driving and Kole farted. We had to roll the windows down!
