Cute story i just remembered while tidying up. On Saturdays we get a treat, a littlecake or something and i go to a coffee shop and get a coffee, today because i am trying to cut down caffine intaje because of ttc i wasn't getting one, but as we walked past the arcade the coffee shop is in Ronin pulled my arm that direction, which was fine because it is a cut through to where i wanted to go anyway, then when we got to the coffee shop he pulled me to it and when i said no pulled his hand from mine and ran to a seat. I carried him out and explained no coffee today, we went back through there because it's a short cut and i wanted something in the grocery store and he did the same thing on the way back. Poor boy he must like his babycino with Mummy on Saturdays. He will miss out next week as well because we will be out of town for a birthday party

Janice, I've watched several episodes of that show and there's no way I'm ready for any kind of catastrophe!

Wendy, How cute! He likes his coffee date with mom! Is there something caffeine free you can get?

Yeah i can get decaf, but once we have another i will likely have to stop those treats with the added expenses. I only get them anyway if i have leftover money from my grocery and petrol budget. I guess i will just have to work to keep it going, thankfully this coffee shop does free babycinos with a coffee purchase

I know we wouldn't make it long in a catastrophe. DH is a type 1 diabetic, without insulin he wouldn't last long. Then I'd be alone trying to care for 2 (soon to be 3) kids. We have some minor disaster preparedness stuff, but not much.

Hmm i am in a total want to organise mood, but hubby will be home soon so i can't take Ronin out to buy containers and baskets, so i guess this mood wil pass.

So when did movie nights on the couch go from trashy chick flick and wine to kids movies and tea. oh yeah the excitment, tonight is happy feet two and tomorrow is puss in boots because it's looking like a rainy day

ha ha Wendy! I used to watch the Today Show, or the news in the morning - now it's Dinosaur Train, Handy Manny or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

I'm not very prepared for an emergency either. We do have enough stuff to last for a couple days of no power, but after that it would be an issue for food! During the winter I usually keep water gallons full in the basement because we tend to lose power at least once from winter storms.

Happy feet two started olaying up just before the end, i bet the disc is dirty, it keeos haooening when i get dvds from that store, but it's the only ine in town now so i have no choice. It's annoying. I'll break out puss in boots tomorrow, Ronin can enjoy the movie and i can enjoy Antonio Banderas' accent

Happy Saturday! I've been married for 5 years today! Yup, that's right, I was one of those 7/7/07 people. I actually just picked the date randomly have no idea that it was so popular. DH is making breakfast, so we are off to a great start!

If there was a disaster, we'd be relying on the USAF. So basically we wouldn't last. Lol I had a good chuckle at the meeting I went to a couple of months ago where we got a handout on what to do if there's a hurricane including having supplies at hand. Yeah, totally don't have most of that list. 1) no where to store it 2) it would go to waste when we move 3) near the top of the list was "leave" anyways. Lol. The only sucky thing about a natural disaster to the area is that it would be me leaving with the kids. DH could never join us. And being a pilot with one of the most used bombing planes y'all can image how much he'd be around if there were terriorist issues.
Speaking of which, once he did get home at 10:35pm (drunk and brought home by someone else cause my husband never told me it was roll call night at the squadron) he told me he wants to move to Idaho now in December. Hoping he forgets this. I want to stay in one place for once!!!

Happy Anniversary Anna & Kurt! I hope it's a great day for you.

All of that moving would drive me up a wall.

DH went golfing with my Dad this morning, he just got home. It's supposed to feel like 110 today last time I heard. Maybe higher. I'm looking forward to being 93 tomorrow. How sad is that? Madison is currently coloring while I'm on here. Hopefully no crayons will be ate.

Happy Anniversary, Anna!

We don't really have natural disasters here. So if the world were coming to an end the world would REALLY be coming to an end and no amount of batteries or canned corn would help us.

Ugh. We slept in. Some asshole was blasting music at 2am. I had a rough time getting back to sleep and of course DH was up late working on his gift for our niece. Guess what she's getting. A STOOL. He's out there putting the finishing touches on it instead of helping me pack up and get out of here. Oh well. At least T slept with us until 8:15 so she'll probably nap later in the day thus not completely ruining my plan.

In other news, Teagan is NOT making it easy to get things done this morning. She wants cheesy crackers for breakfast and will not settle for anything else. I'm not giving her cheesy crackers for breakfast so you can imagine how well this is going.

we don't either. we would be fine for a natural disaster i think, but the actual end of the world we would be screwed

oh boy cheesy crackers Blum 3 did she end up eating something else?

happy anniversary Anna! judging from my fb its a couple of people's anniversary today Wink

i think it's cool Jackie gets to move around the country and explore different places. I don't know if i would want to do it all the time though. i think it takes a certain type of person and I don't know if I could do it.

Supposedly my computer got fixed by Apple (free!), but I'm not 100% convinced so I"m trying to screw it up again by playing with it and now responding. Yep, I'm in a mall food court. Ha ha.

I don't do it well at all times. Remember last winter? I was such a happy person. Lol Though I was happier there than I would have been had I been left alone in Del Rio. It's hard moving and not knowing where I'll live and just not knowing anyone. I'm glad I have constants like y'all online. Smile

Thankfully my husband told me in the hour drive here that he's not sure if he wants to stay or go and has career questions to ask of people higher up. lol

Happy Anniversary Anna!

That's way too much moving for me Jackie! Plus, Idaho? What's in Idaho?

We get hurricanes and flooding here so I do try to be prepared for a couple of days of something like that. End of the world - only people I think would survive are ones that have a hoarding problem! LOL

i am never leaving my hometown again Biggrin there would have to be an extreme or saftey reason to make me leave here.

we get Tornadoes, but they are rare. Also earthquakes but you barely feel them.

We just got back from a birthday party and it figures my child was the only kid there beating everyone up and stealing from them. Including the birthday girl! I am hoping it was an age thing. He was the only almost 2 year old while all the other kids were either 3+ or around 1.

Happy anniversary Anna, i wanted to get married on 7/07/07 so hubby was less likely to forget our anniversary, but my aunt pitched a fit because that was her daughters 21st.

You are all fine if the world is ending, you know i will find a computer to get on and warn you all:-)

Ronin may or may not have slept through last night from 9-6. Sadly if he did or did not he was not in his own bed, but that doesn't matter, he can sleep on the freaking moon if he sleeps. He was then nice and just climbed over me while i tried to get another hour in, just me not his Daddy. He's watching puss in boots while i make breakfast now

Omg, Ronin is so interested in this movie, he is giggling, yelling uh oh and all gone at it. Thats all i am hearing from him, apart from more because he wants another pancake. I may have to buy it for him if he likes it this much.

You know, I will confess that I sometimes give in to those things because it means she eats something and isn't so darn cranky.

That's exactly why I picked it. I thought there is no way that he can forget that date.

We got married on 29/12/07 and i thought hubby would remember it being so close to Christmas and new year, nope. Most years i use my wedding anniversary to scrub the bathrrom and shower with bleach and a scrubbing brush with a toothbrush for corners.

There's a USAF base an hour outside of Boise. That's it. Can you tell I'm excited about this possibility? Lol. Right now it's my #2 choice....but there are only 3 choices. Not that they're really choices bc although DH asks for a certain base they can send us anywhere. Woo.

Just being a toddler - climbed out of the highchair (even with the buckle! eek), yelled at top of his lungs, moved him to the booth and he started banging on the glass separating the booths, threw part of his P&J across the room.....fun times Wink

And I really think that Lucas's behavior is normal when with a group full of kids. At the 4th of July event we went to Aiden kept trying to steal other kid's popsicles. He'd hit them on their heads when they wouldn't give it up to him. They just don't get it yet.

Ronin didn't keep it up long, we had to go to the shops to get some wrapping paper for his cousins present and a card, he squished the card up, tried to climb out of the trolley the works. I tried to have him watch the end of puss in boots, but even after running uodates on the dvd l,ayer it still won't play the end. Thats both blurays now. I out some Thomas on to calm him down a bit before bed

Sounds like DD1 at a restaurant. There's a reason she never saw her first movie in the theater until she was 5. And Lainey wasn't even 2 when we went, and she STILL handled it better than big sis.

I don't get in on chat threads too often but have to ask about the title - who are the four left to go?? I want to say make it five, but not this month yet. Timing is right currently but have a big trip next month - vacay to visit DH family & my last good college girlfriend (out of 10 girls) is getting married, so I need to be strong and hang on for at least another month! I made it this far (DH is finally starting to cave :)), might as well wait and have a chance to whoop it up next month right? Smile

Sara, Erin (TOC), Wendy.....and I'm forgetting the others!!! Sad
What I was wondering is: who is the one down? I must be missing something!

Have fun next month! Wink

Kristi is knocked up (latest).
Wendy is trying.
Erin should just give in to her twitching uterus.
Janice should give in right now too. lol
Sara has been TTC for way too long. I think she's still waiting on AF? Sad
Stacy will be soon.
Mel is starting TTC in the fall.
I think Rebecca is about to start or just started TTC?
Did I forget anyone?

A few of us are pregnant.

It's not really specific people as much as there are a lot who I think should be. Wink

Too busy this weekend to get on here much, but I just wanted to tell you guys:

1. The birthday party went great, and the cake was delicious, *whew* Biggrin
2. The dede-exchange-for-bike went off just as planned, and although she keeps asking for it at each bedtime and naptime, and whine/cries a little when we remind her they're gone...that's it. We just distract her with some stuffed animals and lullabies (or, in the morning, her bike) and she is fine within 10 seconds to a minute max. I don't want to count my chickens, but...honestly, so far so good. *WHEW*
3. We're getting one of Erin's famous stools too! Someday Biggrin
4. Speaking of that bike:

Hah sounds like everyone is getting one of your stools Erin, have you got yours yet? Love the bike, she looks so grown up

I'm just hanging around under the house ( i have a hammock chair) waiting for washing to finishwhile hubby does stuff at his work bench and Ronin plays. All i need niw is a glass of wine and a cheese platter. Sadly i have to hang this last load of washing soon then get dinner started, we are corned beef, potato, cauliflower and broccoli in white sauce and probably carrots so it takes awhile to cook.

That's just two months!!! I know that can seem forever away, but not bad at all. Maybe you can stretch that to August if you O near the end of the month. Wink
