Boo molars! I don't think Lainey has hers yet, but I don't check in her mouth too often.

Sorry Adair has pinkeye! I remember having it once or twice as a kid, it's no fun! But thankfully it is easily treatable!

Oh my gosh lol. What in the world?!

It's going to be a LONG day at work. Girl 1 is already cutting her nails. Girl 2 is moving pts around so she doesn't have to stay late- when the rest of us get in trouble if we move patients around, so we get to stay late on our day.
I can tell it is going to be one of those day when a lot of things get on my nerves.

BOOOOOOOOO. I'm frustrated for you!

My son for the 2nd day in the row is an endless pit. This morning he had two waffles. Asked for more food. Gave him a banana. 10 minutes later cried(!!) for more food. Gave him a handful of cheddar bunnies. An hour later he asks for more food and I give him milk and more cheddar bunnies. I can't even eat this much!!!! Yesterday he ate similarly in the morning. Had a late lunch of TWO bowls of cereal in milk! And grapes! Guess he's making up for last week where he barely ate any food.

I keep hoping he'll gain in height. His poor legs could use it. He needs 24 month shorts for the waist, but his legs are so short that they almost go to his ankles! If he doesn't gain some height soon we'll be having issues this winter because they don't make pants in 12 month length and 24 month waist. Blum 3 (And I don't sew)

They do sell iron on hem tape...just cut them off at the right length plus a half inch, roll that half inch inside with the tape under it, and iron. It works pretty well, although of course I've never tried it on an active toddler...or you could just cuff. This is why all of the pants we sew for Skylark have reversible cuffs! Kids are such different shapes and sizes...

Molly, that is super annoying.

So Addy's home today, going to the doctor this morning with DH (thank goodness he's still home on break, since I have almost no sick time saved up right now!) Her eye was looking better yesterday evening, but then she woke up this morning wailing "Eye hurts!!!!! EYE HURTS!!!!!!" and now they both look a little goopy, so....off to the doctor for some meds. Hopefully it clears up as fast as it did with drops last time and she can go in tomorrow! DH was going to weed whack the yard today and that REALLY needs to get done, but he can't do it with a kiddo running around. And by naptime it's WAY too hot for yardwork.

Molly, tell the fingernail clippy lady you will chop her fingers off if she continues to do that at work. Then tell the schedule mover to suck it up and deal with staying late or you will give her something she will have to stay late for. Haha!! At least you can think it.

Jackie, wowza!! What an eater! I've never seen Evan eat that much.

Anna-I hope you were lazy while the kiddos slept.

Leigh, I hope Addy's feeling better. Pink eye stinks!! I know at our daycare, if you've been on the drops for 24 hrs, you can come back.

I'm sorry if I left some out, I had several pages to catch up on and my mind doesn't hold everything for me anymore. Blum 3 Evan has been sickly the last couple of days. Running a pretty nice fever, but no other symptoms. Well, besides drooling like a mad man. I'm suspecting there are teeth coming in too, but I don't know if that was responsible for a 102 temp. Anyways, he finally got better yesterday, and by last night, started eating and drinking pretty good again. Then he was acting like a crazy boy, playing and running and screaming. It was precious.

Yeah thats the good thing about pink eye, 24 hrs on meds and you're good to go.

Oh man Stacy if I could only say those things. Girl 1 cuts her nails in here at least 3 times a week. It's gross.

Tonight is "clean out the DVR" night. Hubs has like 10 Pawn Star something or others filling it up. And :laundry: again of course.

Pawn Star is ok, I guess. Don't know that I would DVR it. He does need to clean it out. That could be taking up good space that you want to fill up. Smile My laundry is finally done for a couple of days. I'm a weekend kind of laundry girl.

Our vacation starts next Friday, and I cannot focus already. How am I supposed to make it all week??

ROFL

Meanwhile my son still hasn't finished his lunch yet at almost 4pm! Ha ha. He keeps eating a few bites and then he's done for at least an hour. Whatever child. It's all balancing out apparently.

Stacy, the anticipation is always killer! Hope he keeps feeling better. Unexplained temps are never fun.

Molly, have fun with your laundry and Pawn Stars. Wink I'm the worst about the DVR. We have lots of unwatched sister wives, 2 broke girls, etc on there.

Leigh, hope she's better soon!

We have trouble with length and waist here. the 12_18 month size barely fit in the waist, only just now can he hold them up a little better but they are still baggy, and with the ones with buttons which bring the waist in and out we have to have those on the smallest setting, and they are too long, his shorts hang mid calf to ankle, but his 6-12 month pants some are starting to get a bit short, espescially with long pants and capris don't look great on boys. At least i get tons of wear from his clothes, he has been in his 6-12 month ones for over a year now and i am probably going to get about a year from the 12-18 minth size as well, just means they get pretty worn though

Yes! They were on this episode, but as an update. He said they had to practice kissing, and they showed their 'new' kiss. You could tell she had to really hold back and really just wanted to eat his face. You could also tell she is completely crazy. The guy seemed nice though.

LOL!

Apparently my son is going to bed hungry. *sigh* We tried to feed him but he kept breaking down in tears from being so tired (no nap again today woo). It was even a meal he usually loves - chicken pot pie! I hope he doesn't wake up at 2am starving and not wanting to go back to sleep.....

Have fun Wendy!

DH found out today that starting next Saturday he'll be going to 3rd shift. He'll have to leave here at 10 and be home at 8. So it wont be all that bad. I just have to watch myself if Madison gets up at night because I'll want to put her in bed with me since he's not home Biggrin

Haha that was quite the kiss. I actually know two couples IRL who saved their first kiss for their wedding day. First one was a good friend of mine and some of the people in the wedding party came up with a plan to cue the audience to yell "Its about time!" when they kissed-she was pretty startled, but amused! They did not try to eat eachother's faces though. The other couple, the groom was so shy about any PDA that I'm not too sure if the kiss in the ceremony was an acutual kiss or if it was one of those nose rub/cheek kiss things-I couldn't tell from where I was sitting. He refused to kiss the bride during the reception when we banged on the glasses to get them to kiss.

I actually watched that episode of the the virgins where the they didn't kiss until the wedding day. It was pretty sad. I saw the previews of the update episode where they said they've been working on their kissing, but didn't watch that episode. Did they get better at it? I think it's kinda cute though that they would wait. It's something they will always remember.

I took a spontaneous trip to my IL's today. It was nice just sitting around not worrying about anything and letting them entertain the kids. Lyla has been particularly defiant lately and I'm sure she just wants attention and I feel bad because the baby requires so much attention and I think she feels a little sidelined sometimes. So I thought I'd take her to her grandparents where she was sure to get lots of attention. She's really close to her grandpa. It's so cute, but it does make my heart ache a little knowing how much my dad loved her and that he's not here anymore. The kids did great. It was Kole's first long road trip (and hour one way) and he slept the whole way there and the whole way back, and so did Lyla! I kinda tried to time it like that hoping that's what would happen, but I was still surprised that it worked.

That sounds great Anna. I'm sure Lyla appreciated it and it gave you a mini break from the day to day life. And best yet - they both napped! I feel like I get worse and worse at timing those things the older Aiden gets! Lol
I really wish I could pack up and drive the hour to my SIL's house for a break from day to day life, but it seems like they're constantly gone - either they're gone for some sort of sports thing for their two boys or my SIL is gone home or she's gone TAD (Marine business trip). I haven't seen them in two months!

I feel like a zombie today. Aiden was sound asleep by 7:30pm. Despite snacking on tums like it's popcorn I was awake suffering with horrible heartburn till at least 2am (last time I looked at the clock and went to pee but it was probably more like 2:30 or 3am before I was actually asleep). I woke up at 5:30am to DH's alarm and never fell back asleep. Aiden woke up at 6:30am anyways. I just wish I knew why my heartburn was so bad! I had tons of pillows so I was practically sitting straight up in bed. I had had nothing but water since 7pm. Dinner was homemade chicken pot pie - nothing spicy or off the wall. I was seriously feeling fine all day until about 10pm when I went to get ready for bed!

I'm so frustrated with DH. I still don't have a working laptop. I've pretty much stolen DH's at this point and just listen to him whine about it, but it's his fault I don't have a fixed computer!!! He claims that he's going to fix it himself, but has yet to order the part for it. Meanwhile, I want to start hypnobabies and do it right but I can't because I have nothing other than the blu ray player downstairs that plays CDs. DH's laptop doesn't have the drive, so I can't get the CDs onto a computer to load up the music on my iPhone (my original intent)! Mind you my computer went freaky several days before I went home in June!!! He said he'd fix it while I was gone!!!!! :banghead:

Ugh, I have been hearing bits and pieces about this on the radio all morning. SO scary and tragic! What makes people go so very wrong...

Anna, super yay on the successful car trip! What a nice break.

Jackie, that is so frustrating about the computer. We're having some sort of similar issues at home...we're trying to switch laptops but it's becoming a technological nightmare because of what's broken about all the different machines involved. Ugh.

Re: the heartburn...have you tried apple cider vinegar? I don't get heartburn but DH gets it a LOT. He's a crazy person and just shoots it straight (in a small glass of water), but some people put honey in it or something...anyway, he swears by it (as do a lot of other people). Worth a try? Sorry you're dealing with that Sad

Anna-WooHoo on a day out. Glad the kids slept for you in the car. That makes it so much easier.

How scared those people at the theater must have been. Awful!

Pickles sound awful to me. I mean I feel like I've already hit the water giving me heartburn stage which didn't happen till the end with DS! *sigh*
Applie cider vinegar? Interesting. WE do have some in the house.
I have heartburn every night, but last night was by far the worst.

i thought they were a cute couple, but the kiss was definitely bizarre!

:bighug: it's unfortunate she will not get to know him, but you will be able to tell her all about your dad. i know it's not the same though.

We came back from Pennsylvania today. Lucas did really well, he fussed a little but there were no melt downs. I have to say, i am disappointed with the shopping down there Blum 3 DH and i didn't really find anything, we mostly brought back food that we can't find here lol.

When we came down into the lobby this morning the shooting was on tv Sad so awful, what a piece of sh!t. We have been having a lot of shootings here in Toronto, just a couple of days ago there was a mass shooting at a bbq. I am getting sick of hearing about these stupid gangs and their shootings. This is just as bad, so so sad and i heard the youngest victim was 3 months. W.T.F

Glad Lucas did good on the trip!

I saw that kiss and it was bizarre. I also just saw that episode last night were they have been practicing and it has gotten much better and less uncomfortable to watch.

Speaking of food you can't get locally and pickles. I saw pickle flavor potato chips in the store earlier this week. Is that some new flavor thing or am I just not hip to potato chip flavors (totally possible)? I was wowed like 6 weeks ago when a cousin showed up at our house with jalepeno flavored ones.

Back spasms are NOT fun. Actually, this week of pain has not been fun. All was honky dory until I lifted Teagan onto my knee this morning to help her put her socks on. Instant pain that only got worse on the left side of my middle back. I managed to get into the car, we dropped of T, then I hobbled into student health. They sent me home with valium and hydrocodone and a stern warning that I need to really DO my PT exercises. I asked the doc if it was OK to BF on these and he told me he wasn't too concerned because she's almost 2 and not nursing a ton and that he's less concerned about the valium (since its given to kids) but that I should try to limit nursing. I took a half does as soon as I got home and then nursed Teagan 6 hours later. Its been 8 hours since my half does and I'm in PAIN. I'm holding off on taking a dose until after she's down for the night. DH is in there working on getting her down. GO TO SLEEP. MOMMY NEEDS DRUGS.

Just got back from Mum's place. Ronin slept for about an hour. Apprantly a decently behaved toddler at a resturant or coffee shop doesn't exist in most people's minds. Everyone commented on how well behaved he was at dinner last night and then i had coffee with an old friend today and some of her other friends who all work in child care and they couldn't believe how well behaved he was for the forty five minutes we were there. He sat up and drank his baby cino had some muffin and played with his toys. Oh and the sweetest two word sentance ever when your toddler comes running to you with a flower yelling Mummy flower.

Ronin loves to point flowers out. Mum took him out to cut the flower for me, sadly it didn't fare so well on the way home and was a bit wilted and worse for wear. He then had to go back out and touch every flower because he wanted them as well. He loves gardens and gardening. Hopefully after his terrible sleep last night he will have a good one tonight, we had a small run of decent stretches lately of at least four hours, i tried to wear him out today we went shopping, then home for a ride on his trike to see the boats, then helped Daddy inside while i mlwed the lawn.

Oh Erin will your drug talk be as good as Jackie's wine talking? Biggrin
I do hope you get to feeling better quickly. Stay on that PT girl!
Wendy that is so cute that Ronin loves that stuff. That's easily a good hobbie for him as he gets older. Landscapers and stuff around here make good money.
Joy- pickle chips have been around here for a bit. Yummy. Although, they're usually salty.
I just showed DH that video and he about spit his coffee out. hahaha. Everyone I've showed it to this week has laughed about it.

Today we're going to go see the IL's. It's been about a month since we've seen them. MIL is super excited. It won't be that bad, unless all the family decides to come over when we're there. That gets old quick. Tomorrow we're going to have dinner with my parents and my Mom is making homemade ice cream. I cannot wait. Oh and on a silly note, I'm getting new shoes for work that I've been wanting for a while today.
