What is candy corn?

It's just a sugar and corn syrup concoction. I hate it, it's disgusting.

So it's just candy that looks like corn? Well, stripy corn. It confuses me

And it just tastes like sugar? Is it hard or soft?

It always looks weird to me and looking on Pinterest, people go mad for it..?!?

It tastes like extra sweet sugar, but it has its own taste in a way, it's weird.
It's softish. It's not a hard candy, it's not chewy, it sort of dissolves as you chew it.

Um, imagine wax completely infused with sugar? It's pretty gross. I think it can best be explained as one of those things people like purely for nostalgic reasons.

Yeah, it's not hard, but not chewy. It kind of crumbles in your mouth when you bite into it. Gross. Some people really love it, but it makes me gag.
