My Ovulation Chart
I scored a bunch of great stuff at goodwill. I found tons of wooden utensils and tiny little pots. I even found an itty bitty bread box and cutting board. Screw buying new when you can get great stuff for pennies! I'm thinking of getting a few little food items but mostly I'll just save a few boxes and give her those.
Here's today's progress:
I did some demo first today. The hutch needs to be more shallow so I chopped the face off and cut it in half.
I stained the top yellow using the stains left over from Teagan's room furniture.
I drilled holes in the coasters ($4 GoodWill) that will become the burners and then I painted them black. The reasons for the holes will become apparent next weekend Then I stuck them on with epoxy. I plan to also add screw but I couldn't find screws the right size so that will have to wait.
I also whipped out the knobs today. I purchased little wheels from Michael's ($3), drilled out indentations into them, painted them black, then epoxied a long bolt through the wheel and afixed the stove knobs ($2 junk yard). Then I drilled holes into the counter and installed the knobs.
Finally, I spray painted the interior of the stove silver using left over paint from another task.
For months, D and I have been arguing over whether you can buy used stove knobs without buying a stove. I told him you could, I told him that we just needed to keep looking, but he insisted I was wrong and that nobody anywhere ever would sell used stove knobs without the stove. Thank you, Erin, for proving him wrong and for getting the stove knobs at one of his favorite places to shop (if there was a smiley that signified "In your face, Dh" I would put that here).

That is looking great! And I love the naked baby! Too cute!
What's up with the only play kitchen stuff in this town being pink with princesses?! I hit up a few used and discounted places after the cloth diaper meeting this morning and found nothing remotely useful.
