I just have an insert for the regular toilet for my DD. It's pink and has Dora on it, so not sure if I'll use it for Lucas or not. But I absolutely refuse to get one of those little potties b/c there is no way I want to clean it every time they go. I just don't have time for that.

I thought that too, but honestly, it's not a big deal. If she pees I just pour it in the toilet, run some water in and swish it around and pour that in the toilet too. Done. If she poops, I do the same thing but then also wipe it out with a wipe. Done. Periodically I'll wipe it down with a stronger housecleaning wipe...kinda like how you treat a regular toilet, really.

We are not PTing DD, but for DS we have a separate kid potty. He's intimidated by the big potty and the little potty lets him do the entire process all by himself which is how he likes it. He also likes to stand up to pee, but can only do that at daycare because regular pottys are too tall. The ones at daycare are kid sized.
