So as you will see Ronin's room is pretty plain
I'll start with the boring side
That door leads to the patio, hence the bed in front of it. We will eventually move that bedd and put a wardrobe there at this stage, though those plans could change. That bed was mine when I was younger abd before that it was a hospital bed, I think from around the 50's.
About the only decoration in the room
Additional sleeping toddler in the picture is a bonus. Ronin stands at these windows every night to say night binght birdies. I've had to close one window because he can open the screens.
We have a bedside table that hubby need to fix up and another book case to go in there as that little bookcase is full.
I love the pink fabric you used in her room Anna!
I don't mind some toys being in Aiden's room but I'm glad that most of them aren't in there. Of course now the messy part is for all to see - no shutting doors to hide it! Which reminds me I *still* haven't put picture labels up like I intended to do back in April. Though at this point Aiden knows what toys go where - it's DH who needs the labels.
All cute! I love the windows and paneling in Ronin's room, Wendy--it looks like a great room to me even if it's not decorated.
Addy's toys are half shoved in a corner in our living room and half shoved under a desk in her room, so I can't judge anyone on their toy storage solutions since we have NONE. We're pretty good about keeping them piled in their corners, but even when they're all picked up it doesn't really look GOOD.
I'm not home right now but here's what I've got:
A pic of her dresser and bookshelf BEFORE we actually had the baby (you can see the corner of the guest bed that's no longer in there) The bookshelf is now completely full, and there's a rocking chair that was mine as a baby in front of it. The laundry is between the shelf and dresser, and the changing pad is on top of the dresser. And one piece of Addy's art is hanging above the butterflies.
Here's a pic where you can see her changing pad, real lamp, and a bit of the rocking chair
A recent pic from when we took the side off her crib:
That "toy storage" I mentioned. The trunk is full of costumes. This pic is taken from sitting in the rocking chair. If I panned left, you'd see her closet (that's a bit of the door), a skinny yellow wooden shelf with all of her shoes on it, and then the door.
You can see that our decorating theme is "colorful and eclectic"
