It totally screams fun and kid to me! I've had one person tell me that Aiden's room is too grown up. I figure I should do what I want in it while he doesn't care one bit. He only plays up there maybe once a day for 30 minutes.

Janice, I like the PnP being used for toy storage.

Addy will only play in her room for more than two minutes if someone is in there with her...just the past few days she's been in there a little more, though (she loves to hold on to the side and jump in her bed ) so I'm starting to see a glimmer of hope...

And yeah, kid rooms are totally at the parent's discretion at this age. There will be many years where you just close the door and hope the damage isn't permanent, so it might as well be nice for now, right?

Leigh those walls and windows are all through our house. Ronin's room has the most windows though. The only parts of the house without those walls and windows is the extension where they joined the two houses. The room has a high ceiling as well, like most of the house. The nursery has slanted ceilings though because it meets the enclosed verandah/ hallway (now it's the hall, it was likely a sleepout/enclosed verandah it the houses former lives)

All I have at work are the pics of Evan's nursery before he was born. The bookcases are now full of books and toys.

There are pictures and tractors on top of the shelves now.

I'll post some pics of his big boy room later this week.

All the rooms look great. I love seeing the In Real Life pictures of the toys everywhere. That is how all our rooms currently look.

Well, in that case, Wendy, I love your house.

Addy's ceiling is slanted too--all of our ceilings are, other than in the hallway where it's dropped to cover the ductwork. We left the walls cream colored and painted the ceilings. Addy's is marigold yellow (you can just see a little piece of it in the 3rd picture.) It's nice because the high ceilings plus the color to draw your eye up make the house feel a lot bigger than it really is.

Our house needs lots of work, I should take some pictures to show you it Leigh if you like it. It's an old style home in a Queenslander style. Our best guess is it's maybe eighty to one hundred years old, but that's just a guess, it used to belong to the catholic church in town and hi used the priests. The whole interior is painted blue, but I want to paint it all back to a neutral, a white or beige and the decorate from there, maybe leaving Ronin's room blue. The outside needs a coat of
ain't as well but that's on the when we win the lotto list as a rough quote for painting was around five to ten thousand dollars
