pray for me Updated again! UPDate yet again

Spending the night in l&d. Unexplained bleeding.. softened cervix.. and cramps..

updated...Still here and will be here for at least 24-48 more hours. Higher level ultrasound showed placenta is seperating from wall. Any more seperation could be dangerous.. and will be put on bedrest.. no vaginal birth because of this... I'm in tears.. more nights away from ds... Now with a high risk Dr..

Update-- 9/21
Permanent hospital bed rest. Now leaking amniotic fluid... Having a hard time away from ds Sad

Oh no!!!! You're in my thoughts and prayers!!! I hope it's nothing, I had a friend who has pretty much the same thing happen and it ended up being an infection in her cervix that cleared with antibiotics.

Still here. I have small placenta abruptions that's causing the bleed. Giving me steroids to mature the lungs. Sitting here so babys heart and activity can be monitored. He is looking good. Hopefully I can go home soon. Last night was by first night was my first night away from ds 1 ever. It was torture :(. Looks like I'm headed for bed rest. Hopefully just modified though.

I'm so, so sorry that you're in such a scary and tough situation, Justine! I am SO glad that they caught it before it got any worse, though, and hopefully can get that baby well baked before birth is necessary. Every day helps! Hang in there and KUP... :openarms:

Oh, my goodness. I am sending you all my best that you can keep that baby in every second possible!!! I have a nephew who was born at 26 weeks, and he did make it (he is now 7) but he is pretty seriously disabled (severe autism, growth issues, etc). His older brother was born at 32 weeks and is a healthy, happy, totally normal 12 year old. I sincerely hope for an awesome outcome for you and your baby, and I'm so glad he's still doing well so far! Hang in there...

I'm so glad you are still baking your little man! I will keep praying for you. I think we have a Oct/Nov '10 mamma (Dawn) who had a premie 26 week baby girl and I think she said she's perfectly healthy, so it is possible, but naturally it's more ideal to keep baking. Keep us posted, for sure.

Still praying that things improve and that your body and placenta allows him to keep baking!

I can't believe a Dec baby is here already. Sad We had another Nov baby born recently and baby was obviously not growing and getting what she needed because she was barely over 1.5 lbs. Ugh.

Still praying for you!!! I hope you can keep that LO in there for as long as possible. I'm so sorry you're going through all this.

And yes, it was Dawn that had a 26 weeker. I'm thinking she was like 26 and a half weeks or close to 27 weeks. devermee is her name on here.

Yes, my DD was born at 26 weeks, 5 days. Different situation - just out of blue preterm labor & unable to stop it. And Anna is right, she is perfectly healthy!!! You would never know that she was only 2 lbs 3 oz when she was born! The upside for you is, that if you do go early, baby got the steroids for his lungs! I think that makes a huge difference. With DD, it was all so sudden, I got the steroids, but she was born just a few hours later & not enough in advance to be effective. Bed rest might sound awful at this point, but if it helps keep baby in there, it's worth it (I did with DS for 13 weeks)!
Short of things - obviously it's best to keep baby in there as long as possible, but there's also hope that if he is born early, he can do very well!

I'm so sorry to hear you're stuck in the hospital now and leaking. While it's best for you and baby to stay there, I know this has got to be incredibly hard. I'd be a mess without DS with me. ((hugs))

Oh no! Didn't want to hear permanent hospital bedrest - so sorry!!! Sad
Here is a site I frequented while on bedrest with DS ... KeepEmCookin.com Forum - KeepEmCookin.com Forum - Index ... haven't checked it again for about two years since DS was born - at the time I was pg, it was a little slow, but does have some suggestions, etc to help you get through bedrest!!
