but it is. DH and I are going to lunch today SANS KIDS! Woo Hoo!!! I called MIL to watch the kiddos cause she hasn't seen them since we were in Mexico and she said no problem, which she usually does. So I sent a text to DH to meet me at one of our fave restaurants. I'm not gonna tell him the kids aren't coming. We haven't went out for lunch without kids since before Clara was born

That is a huge deal! DH and I only just recently realized we could have lunch together while Teagan is at daycare. Not that it happens all that frequently. Even though she's been going to daycare for quite some time now, its a whole different feeling when we skip out of work and go to lunch together. I often can't help but blurt out "We're out to lunch ... together!" when the waiter asks how our day is going. I get weird stares ....

Just to let you all know, it was FANTASTIC! No one needed to be fed, cleaned up after or shushed the whole time, at least not at our table. We sat in a little two seater table instead of a 5 person booth all squished in together. We talked about people that were taller than 5 ft and had a wonderful lunch.

MIL had no probs with the kiddos and offered to do it again anytime. I'm definitely doing to have to take her up on it. She's so great!
