(You know I'm in full-on procrastination mode when I get THIS post happy)
How often does your SO get his hair cut?
DH hasn't gotten his hair cut in 5 months. 5 months! Its like I'm married to shaggy the dog. I've had 2 hair cuts since he's had his last one and I'm about to go again.
That's odd, right?
I saw yet another thread and thought "wow, she's making up for lost time!"
My husband normally gets a hair cut every 1.5 weeks. If he hits 2 weeks, chances are his hair is out of regs. If it wasn't for the military he'd go 2 months. Basically until I begged him to get it cut. I HATE his hair when he gets any sort of length to it. It just doesn't look right. Thankfully the military won't let him get to that point now.
DH buzzes his hair at home, so every couple weeks or so?
maybe once a month or every other month? he usually waits until he can start grabbing fistfuls of it or it starts getting too long on the sides
I cut my DH's hair, probably every 2 weeks or so? Now that he's balding he wants it buzzed short so we do it more now because it shows more when it grows out.
DH uses balding clippers since he'd have total male pattern baldness if he let it grow out, so like once a week or so? Sometimes sooner if we're going out somewhere special. If it grows past a week he looks like an old man. LOL!
Once a week he buzzes what he's still got off.
Not much hair on top. But there's a whole lot of him left after that hair is gone.
Maybe once every 3 months or so? He actually hates it when it gets too long and would get it cut more often, but he stays so busy with work and kids and me that once every 3 mo is about all he can make time for. I think most of the time he doesn't even really notice, so he usually ends up getting a haircut when I comment on how long it's getting. Lol.
DH came home with a buzzed head once after too many beers. Never again. But that's seriously the only way I'll ever get him to do it regularly. It's not just that he's busy. He's SOOO particular about his hair cuts. He spends forever reading reviews on the stylist and then gives explicit instructions that are impossible to follow while glaring at the poor person the entire time. All of this just to have it grow out and look like crap for months on end. I think he thinks that more expensive haircuts last longer or something. I might ambush him with a hair appointment.
Oh my! He spends waaaaay more time and thought on this than I do!!! lol.
My husband is rather particular about his cuts, but he just complains to me afterwards that the top is a 2.5 not the 3 he wanted or something dumb like that. And then says he's never seeing that person again. But he doesn't have time to go off base, so he's a bit limited on people in the end. I just roll my eyes and remind him that he'll be back in 2 weeks or less.
Less than every 2 weeks. He's in the same boat with Jackie's DH. Except that it bothers him if he goes longer than 2 weeks. He says it's way too long. He's a little weird. He also complained about the last guy that cut it. He said he hardly took anything off, it's the worst cut I've ever had. I could actually tell a difference, oh well, it grows fast. I don't even think you should call it a cut. It's clippers and the side is so short it's almost scalp.
Anna, what a cute picture!!
My DH is the same as Veronica's. I buzz it at home every 2-3 months, but I use a 5 on the sides and a 7 on the top so it's not super short buzzed (he hates that "I just got a haircut!" look that it starts to take on if we go any shorter). Usually he'll start complaining that it's too long after about 6 weeks (when it starts to get long enough to curl/look puffy) and it takes us another 2-4 weeks of saying "Oh, I was going to cut your hair..." until we actually get around to it
Erin, I thought the shaggy look was a choice, not a side effect of pickiness warring with busyness/laziness. Men are so funny.
I wish DH would let me cut his hair. He keeps it so short that it would be pretty hard for me to mess it up too much ya know? lol. Imagine the money we would save!!!
Yeah, that's why we do it--DH is cheap! The ears are the hardest part. I'm not gonna lie, when I first started doing it there was a fairly serious OOPS moment--when I accidentally cut a chunk down to the scalp right behind his ear, when we were on our way to an event! (was trimming around the ears and forgot to pay attention to the other end of the razor...whoops) But I thought fast and colored it in with eyebrow pencil so it wasn't this big obvious white slash, and in the dark room at the event you actually couldn't tell at all (smart thinking, right? :D) Of course it looked pretty bad for a week or so, but he forgave me eventually
about every 6 weeks. He has it cut really short so it takes a white to grow. He can't have it over the collar of his shirt for work so one it's that long he has to get it cut or he's sent home (police)
I think he cuts it every couple weeks or so-he shaves it almost bald. He used to pay to have someone cut it, then after we were married, I convinced him to let me do it for him and I did it for him until DD was born. Then it was hard for me to find the time when she was a newborn so he started doing it himself and just kept on.
