RQOTD - Monday 9/26

If you were to get married tomorrow, would you still choose the same wedding dress now that you wore for your wedding? Do you still have your wedding dress?

For those that aren't married, any plans of getting married? Wink Do you know what dress is your perfect one?

I really don't know if I'd choose the same dress today that I did 5 years ago. I still love the dress I chose, but not sure if it would still be "the one." I do still have my dress. I hope to eventually wear it for "trash the dress" pictures. I never cleaned or put away my dress. It's just gets shoved in the back of the closet every time we move. Lol

I really liked mine too, but I don't know if I would choose it again as well. I still have it, it was professionally cleaned and put into a box so it's in a closet upstairs.

I think I would, or at least very similar. I still love my dress and like to think it's a pretty classic style. If I had a different body type, there definitely would be other silhouettes/styles I would consider differently.

I had my dress cleaned, but not boxed up special or anything. It's hanging in the a garment bag in the back of my guest room closet. I've been thinking of throwing it on to show my 4 year old. She'd get a kick out of momma's "princess" dress.

I think I would pick the same dress. Maybe do my hair a bit different. I still have it, but haven't had it cleaned or boxed up. Maybe one day (sigh).

Jenny-I bet she would love to see mommy in a princess dress!

I would absolutely choose the same dress. Its one of a kind. Literally, a lady in Santa Fe made it just for me! It's made of 100% organic hemp and was the most perfect dress I could have asked for. I thought about doing trash the dress pics but I loved it way too much. It's hanging in my closet. I heard horror stories about "professional" cleaning jobs so its never been cleaned. I don't want it cleaned. I like that it still has a bit of Cozumel sand on it :p.

I don't know if I'd choose the same dress again or not. I like it, but it wasn't what I was looking for even at the time. If I were to do it all again, I'd most likely just elope. I will NEVER plan another wedding again.

I still have my dress. It's never been cleaned, though it should have been. Maybe someday I'll take it to get cleaned and boxed up.

Most likely not. I liked the dress but I bought it more off of the price and that it had what I wanted, but it was very simple and because I was married right after I had dd1 it was a little snug when the wedding day actually came. I gained weight.. Booo!! l

I still do have the wedding dress. I am going to keep it or if one of my daugthers wants to use it or parts of it, they are more than welcome to it.

I don't know if I'd necessarily pick the same dress again, but I still like it. I went for a classic look, I wanted something that wouldn't look dated. I had it cleaned and boxed. If my daughters ever want to wear it for their wedding they're welcome to it, but I fully expect they'll want to pick their own dresses. I know I did!

taking professional photos of you in your dress, but getting it super dirty/trashed! i have seen people do it on the beach, like rolling in the sand/water and i have seen one where they used paints and the girl was covered in different paint colours.

Yep, trash the dress is a photo shoot where as the day goes along you get messier and messier. By the end there's no saving your dress. I've seen some really ugly/strange photos but I've also seen some REALLY good ones done outside in nice settings where you normally wouldn't want to drag yourself and a nice dress. Seems like most of these end with you in the water someplace. lol.

Hi ladies *waves*

I really didn't like my dress. I didn't have much money and it was more of a suit dress. I always envisioned a big wedding but we got married in a chapel in Vegas. In fact...I have a really weird story about my dress....when I went to put it on before the ceremony the ink tags was still on it  So i wore it anyways but when I got home I took it back to the store and got my money back ROFL

I'd totally wear mine all over again, and elope instead! Still have my dress and would love to get it made into a blanket/quilt.

I'm not sure, my dress was not what I imagined when I was looking, but was perfect when I found it. My Mum took it to be professionally cleaned and boxed, the place she took it to has one woman whose sole job is wedding dresses

That's a great story! How many people can say that they were able to return their wedding dress? ROFL

I loved my wedding dress and would absolutely wear it again. Dh and I have talked about doing an anniversary ceremony one of these years and I would like to wear the same dress (if it fits).

I did have it professionally cleaned, but they couldn't get all the green paint out of the bottom. I got married in Arizona, and the place spray painted the grass green, but there was a puddle of water, which I stepped in (after the ceremony), and got paint all over the train. Luckily it was a short train and it tucked up (in the bustle? Is that what it's called?) so it wasn't that noticeable.
