Even Ronin gets to join in as they have dress up day at day care today so I will dress him up and take him in even if he doesn't stay, he can play a short while while I talk to the staff. He is going to be a superhero, it's my dodgy 'i got told yesterday morning he needed a costume/ no time to do anything that night' attempt.

Pics coming once we dress him up

We didn;t go to the day care at all so no dressing up, he spent most of the day in a nappy or nude. I have a picture of him dodgy dressed up from the other morning I will upload instead of my dodgy superhero costume

Here's our pumpkin carving pics:

Addy: "It's fun in there!" ROFL

See how clean mine is inside?

"Jack-o-laters!" (We looked at jack-o-lanterns online before carving, and Adair chose this "mad face" for hers.)

Note: Those little pie pumpkins are a B**** to carve! Never again! DH and I both totally cut ourselves trying to get a knife through that thing.

Our local zoo had a trick or treating thing last night. (sorry for the size-pb is a p.i.t.a.)

I LOVE the batman and robin!! lol.

Leigh, totally cute carving pics. I had Aiden paint our pie pumpkins. Tomorrow I plan to wash them off and prep them so I can roast their seeds and make pumpkin puree.

I'll post pics when I can. DH says he'll take pics when he gets home!

I thought of painting, but Addy really wanted to put a candle inside so that wasn't going to work. We roasted the seeds from all three of ours last night, but Addy doesn't like them. That's okay--more for us!!! Blum 3

Your pumpkins look great, Leigh!! Yeah, that's why I had Teagan paint her little pumpkin. I wasn't touching carving that thing.

Nathan makes a great little skeleton!!

I love the Batman family costumes! I gotta know where your DH got those pants. Stylin'!

I've got a bunch of carving pics but they're all on my nice camera. The ones below are just the finished product of my pumpkin. I'll post costume pics as soon as I can!

I love the nostrils on yours!! I totally did not have the right tools to do what I wanted to with mine, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out in the end, all things considered (mine's the Wallace and Gromit looking one on the right). Next year I might have to invest in a couple of more flexible instruments. A paring knife does not make curves very well.

I made the nostrils with an Allen wrench. Smile I was trying with the paring knife but I gave up and went looking for something.

Love them!!! Leigh, we cut our little pie pumpkin and it was a pain, but we used the little pumpkin saw instead of a knife and it was much easier. really nasty and stringy inside though so I just used one of those fake LED lights instead of a candle.

ya, we used a spoon. I am a wimp and he is too young to get them all out himself

this is the best i could get of him in his costume. he wanted nothing to do with that tiger and kept throwing it and yelling "NO" lol. any other day he can't stop kissing it.

Oh my to the costume Janice! lol

Halloween was a HUGE hit here! Aiden loved it and did fantastic. He refused to say trick or treat till we were done and back home. He said halloween twice. And we got him to say thank you to one out of 5 houses. Not bad for the age and the fact that he's not much into talking!

Sorry they're huge. PB hates me again, so they're off of FB.

My favorite pic from Sunday night when we carved the pumpkin.

Janice, I love that outfit!! I could not get Evan to cooperate with pictures at all. I'll have to post later.

Jackie those matching outfits are great!! I like the bony baby. How did Aiden do with the face paint?

He did great with the face paint. He loved watching me put it on him (sat him on the bathroom counter facing the mirror lol) and then he surprisingly left it alone!

That's great! I only painted a nose and whiskers on Adair, but she loved it. I think maybe we'll give the face painting a shot at the Dia de los Muertos Little Angels parade this weekend...

As for pics, mine all came out pretty bad. I'll wait for Erin to post hers--they had a nice camera, and I was just using my phone.

Aiden & Lucas are too cute!!

It's HARD to get good pics of toddlers running through the night. We don't have a lens that does very well at night. Here's the best we could do to capture the costumed cuteness.

Here they are freshly costumed at Leigh's house.

I drilled them on the Trick or Treat routine for a good 10 minutes before we left. They had it down ... or so I thought.

We didn't get any good pics of Rowan's entire costume. It was freaking adorable! The only way to have gotten a good pic of the tail would have been to snap one while Rowan clinged to Sara.

At the first house, all three girls knocked then proceeded to enter the house. I guess the drilling didn't take.

The only evidence that T's costume lights up.

Oh my goodness, Janice--I didn't see your pics earlier. SO FREAKING CUTE!!!

I just very carefully shaved it down with a paring knife, but it was definitely not the best way to do it. I think an old fashioned potato peeler, with the sharp end you can use to scoop out the eyes would have worked much better (using the tip for edges and detail work, and the potato peeler part for the big sections, but ours is all big and plastic and I couldn't even touch the surface with it because the safety guards were in the way. I'm going to hunt one down for next year.

Addy kept talking about going in houses all week, so I was nervous, but when it came right down to it, Rowan was mostly the one all "show me the way to your toys, strangers." ROFL
