Default Sleep regression? Growth Spurt? Cold?

    Hey ladies

Well Simon was STTN and then he got sick and was waking up a couple of times. I figured it was just because he was sick. But now he's pretty much better but still waking up 2-3 times per night. He just eats then goes back to sleep. Do you think this is just a habit now from being sick or maybe a growth spurt? Is there an 8 month sleep regression?

I dont entirely mind, but I do miss that uninterrupted sleep. Oh well.

We had this too after mother's day when he was sick. He is just now getting back to his longer sleep pattern at night.

I've decided that EVERYTHING is a phase. Even STTN. Hopefully this new phase ends quickly for you!

I'd imagine it is now habit but he'll STTN again eventually when he gets bored of waking up all the time

We are going through the same thing. DS was sick for a few days, fever, etc. We would wake him every 3 hours to give tylenol/ibuprofen for the fever. So now he is waking at the times we would give him medicine. When I check on him, he usually has his eyes closed, so I give him his paci and he falls back to sleep very quickly. Hopefully, he gets over it quick. Good luck to you.

I agree with the sick-> now habit theory.

    Just another phase?

Another possibility is development. My kids always struggle with sleeping before they master a new trick, and during the first year, that's frequent.
