Swing Sale at TRU..

I know we were talking about swings the other day and I just got the ad for TRU. There seems to be some good deals on swings.. The one that caught my eye was the Westchester Wood Gym set for $499..

My.gf had that set and it is a nice one. Hubby of mine still insists he's making one....lets see if the girls get it by the time they graduate. Haha he's not toooooo good with finishing projects.

Mine either! I would love a swingset that is bigger but my yard is so tiny!

Ya, I really don't think we have the room for it. Our backyard slopes so I don't really see where we would put it.

I REALLY want a baby swing outside for Delaney tho. I might have to have him make something just for that. Smile

We have a small backyard. I just bought them a really nice playhouse for outside (was on sale from $390 to $179!), a sand table, AND a small swingset (only has two swings). That way the kids all have stuff to play with (a LOT, imo) and we still have our backyard with flowers, garden, grass, bbq, etc. I wanted a balance. And we only spent about $320 on all of it, due to sales that were going on last weekend.

After reading the reviews on those sets, I'd be wary. There's a place in town that sells these. I have no idea how much they cost but I think they are better built.

Those are probably ATLEAST $1500 but more like $2000-$3000 and up. My parents looked into those and ended up getting something else that was just as good and only around $1000 instead of those astronomical numbers.

I found a price list and the cheapest ones are about $1500-2000. I figure if it holds up better than the TRU brands, we could sell it and recoup the extra money. What brand did your parents get?
