Too much of a good thing.

I love that Teagan uses her potty. I do. She really gets a kick out of pooping in her potty first thing in the morning. Such a kick that she pooped once and then proceeded to squeeze out 3 more little tiny poops. Yep, had to clean out a poopy potty 4 times this morning! Oy.

Anyone else have a LO that's so excited to poop?

That is so funny. Pooty cleanout is no fun though. Odin is all talk & no action.

Lainey loves to run and sit on her potty, but no actual magic happens. She does complain when her diaper is wet or dirty and wants changed ASAP, so I know we're working in the right direction.

Rough life. Blum 3 My child now refuses to sit on his small potty, but will sit for a long time on the potty seat that sits on the toilet.....however, he won't actually GO on the big potty. Lol Oh well, I've decided to not tackle this till we're done traveling in July.

Both mine. They are both obsessed. I'm not PTing Tobey but he tells me when he's done one and DS1 LOVES to talk about poo/look at poo/tell strangers about his poo......

Ronin uses the inseret on the big toilet, but I used to hate cleaning the potty out. Our one at home is one piece and such a pain to clean, Mum got one second hand and the part they go in pops out so much easier to clean.

He tells anyone anything and if it's something that goes on in his pants then he's even more likely to talk about it. He was telling my 89 year old Grandma all about his penis the other day. She was a bit

:lurk:

Adair has been getting more and more into it, and does her morning poop on the potty most days. We use a seat that fits on the big toilet, though--she doesn't like the little Bjorn potty we inherited (I think it hurts her skinny little butt!) so I don't have to clean anything out, just flush.

I went to look at a rental house for a friend yesterday, and when she saw the toilet she started yelling "Poo poo! Potty! Mommy, poo poo! POTTY! POO POO!! POO POO!!!!!!!!!" until I had to ask the tenant if we could please use her bathroom (fortunately, she was nice about it). Of course she had already gone in her diaper by then, so we just dumped it in...she seemed satisfied by that, thankfully, although then she started pointing and shouting "BIG POO POO!"

She also mooched an apple out of the decorative bowl on the coffee table. I definitely cannot forget the Ergo next time!

Ronin waves bye bye to his poos when he goes on the toilet. He puts his toilet insert on he toilet as well, but he gets confused because we have a different style at my Mum's house than my house so he gets a little confused at which way to put it on or under the seat.

Haha! That's great, Leigh.

T won't use our insert on the big potty. I think is because she's more into using the little potty on her own terms. I have to boost her up to the big potty and its never when she wants to go. I should find a little stool for her.

T's gotten really good about telling us when she has to pee/poo but it sounds like "dee" or "doops" and most of the time I can't discern it from her usual babbling until its too late. If she's diaperless at home she uses the potty as she needs to but we're no where near using the potty out of the house.

Great story Leigh. ROFL

Still a fantastic start Erin. It'll get better over time as she communicates better. Smile

Aiden's newest thing is to watch us use the bathroom (not just the normal following and seeing what trouble he can find) and then insists that he flushes the toilet and waves to the waste as it goes down. I'm glad he's taking an interest and noticing that we use the bathroom. About once a day he'll tell me when he wants a diaper change. I have hope for when I'm willing to jump back on the potty train in July!
