Updates.. on me..
and I guess I could update on the kid too ;) Chloe is doing great. Her hair is super long! It somehow is even more curly. She is sitting next to me eating eggs right now :) She is talking up a storm. I need to get rid of the pacifier but I am still working on that. Her new thing is when she comes to our bed in the morning to sleep in, she kicks the living crap out of me.. in her sleep!! She has super sharp toe nails too so it hurts pretty bad. I am thinking about making her sleep in her crib all night now.. she is almost two... my baby is growing up :(
I am down 41 pounds. I am so freaking excited!!! Today is big for me. The scale read 199 this morning, I haven't been out of the 200's since 2007. When I got pregnant with Trevor I weighed 170. That is my next "mini goal". My main goal is 130 but I am not sure if I wanna go that low. Time will tell :) Seeing that on the scale makes me wanna run down the block 6 times :) Speaking of running, I am thinking about starting to run. Until now I have been way too embarrassed to run in public, though I have done it several times.. I need to talk to Lauren, I know she runs all the time. If anyone else runs I would love to hear some tips :) I need to get a good pair of shoes first. I tried skating, that gave me huge blisters. Bike riding is fun, but I get this really sharp pain near my tailbone/spine area for about 3 days after my ride... which is weird. I think I need another bike. Walking is getting dull lol. It is HOT here.. so it is also pretty hard to walk 3 miles now. Not that running would make it less hot but I would get done faster :)
I also am planning on starting college next year :) I want to get healthy first.. but I do not see that being a problem.

41 pounds?! That's a lot!!! WOW and CONGRATS!!!! Sounds like life is really looking up for you and you're planning well for the future. Getting a college education is a fabulous plan.
If it makes you feel any better on mornings that DH works I bring Aiden back to bed with me and keep giving him boobs so that he'll go back to sleep and stay asleep for awhile longer. I don't get any sleep, but laying there is so much nicer than toddler chasing. ;) When DH is home he won't let me do this. He's no fun.
Oh and I need a picture of Chloe's long hair!!! I gotta keep up our hair envy over here. :lol:
41 pounds is AMAZING! I have been working out for almost 2 months and lost all of 3 pounds. Congrats to you! I am not a runner so not advice, but good luck!
Also, how exciting that you are planning to go to school! You won't regret it!
Wow, congrats!!!! Reward yourself with something you've been wanting? I'm no runner but found I can keep up my motivation to walk far if I add in a stop somewhere, like walking to the store and grabbing a life water, or if dh comes with we will walk to and back from subway etc. Dh is a runner and found it most motivating to join a running group or run with a friend, not sure if that's something you'd enjoy or not, but an idea. He also enjoys using a running app on his phone while running that tells/records distances. Good luck!
Chloe is adorable! Id say take advantage of those snuggles! Ronan is not snuggly anymore, and even though remy can be, I figure I can't keep popping out babies just because the newest model stops snuggling :(
Congratulations on the weight loss!! That is wonderful!! Good luck with school, you will be glad that you went back. As for running, just stick with it, the more you go, the easier it will be. I like to go in the evening when the temps and humidity are lower. It makes it so much easier. Elin had some good suggestions too.
Congratulations, that's a huge amount to lose! You must feel so good and healthy right now :)
I'm not a runner either, but I think the key is to find an activity you can enjoy in some way so you're more likely to stick with it. I think I need a new bike too, or at least a major adjustment--mine kills my knees. Maybe taking it in to a shop and getting them to help you fit it wouldn't be a bad place to start?
We do have a awesome bike shop here. They are expensive but I think maybe income tax time or something.. that way I can see it as a investment in my health lol!

Nearly 2 is a perfect age to encourage her to sleep longer in her room. I thought Teagan would sleep in our bed FOREVER but we've finally managed to get her to STTN in her room all night and it is AMAZING. I think I need a pic of her hair.
Congratu-freaking-ltions on the 41 lbs!! That is a monumental accomplishment. The next 29 will melt off now that you've found your groove. I hate running. Its just not my thing. When I've been successful in running more than once in a blue moon, I've done so by varying my route. Running the same route gets boring fast. I also set little mini goals for myself. Start small. I usually start with a mile and gradually work my way up to more. 1 mile is my "I should be able to do this" mark. So long as I hit that, I'm happy. See, so not a runner. I'm a biker. Let's talk bikes!!
What sort of bike do you have? Is it lower back/tail bone pain or butt pain?
Butt pain means you need padding. With a standard seat, I absolutely need padding for rides over 6 miles. With my current seat, I need padding for almost any ride (its AMAZING with shorts but OMG the pain without them). I highly recommend padded shorts over a padded seat. I padded seat makes you ride awkwardly whereas padded shorts give you more flexibility. Get a good pair and if you feel ridiculous in them then wear some shorts over them. I always run to the bathroom and get changed out of my dork pant the second I get to school so that no one sees me in them. The fit of your bike is also really important. You can do a lot to change your current bike without spending anything. You can have the seat angle and height adjusted properly. Most bike shops will do that for free, especially if you act like you intend to buy something. Or you can do it yourself. Your seat should be at a height that makes it so that your knee is ever so slightly bent when your foot is on the pedal that is down and so that your other knee (on the side that's all the way up) is parallel with the ground.
Back pain means the stance that the bike puts you in is impacting your comfort. You can do two things about this. One is to strengthen your core muscles. I have this problem. I'm currently doing exercises to get my core back in shape so that riding doesn't irritate my back. As it is, I suffer if I ride more than 40 miles per week. If you want, I can give you a run down of the exercises I do. They're easily done at home. The other thing to do is to alter your stance. I rode a mountain bike (medium upright) for a long time and my back never bothered me. Now I ride a road bike (a much more aggressive horizontal stance) and its not so great for my back. But I looooove my bike and refuse to switch (see why I chose core exercise ;)). You can also do a very upright cruiser style. You can get a new stem for your handlebars that will elevate them. It might help a lot and be much cheaper than buying a whole new bike.

I don't run myself, but I just read the book 'Born to Run,' and now I'm totally inspired to start (once it cools off out here, so in about 4 months). Read it - it will make you want to run 100 miles in a canyon (though please start with shorter distances so you don't die)!
