Does anyone else's toddler constantly run into stuff? Lyla is always so busy looking at everything BUT where she was going and runs into tables, chairs, doors, door frames, walls, you name it. It's so annoying!! In public she rubbernecks like crazy and it's a non-stop battle to keep her from walking right into people and things because she can't be bothered to pay attention to where she is walking.
Madison is really nosy when we're out & about. At gymnastics she's so busy watching the older girls that she falls off her beam all the time. She does it when we're out at other places too.
Yep, Addy does this too--especially out in public. Everything is just too interesting!
My almost 4 year old does this. I'm always telling him to look where he's going. I don't think it's something they are going to grow out of any time soon :-)
Yep. They take a long time to grow out of it. My 5yo still does it.
Oh yes. Evan does this alot too. If he is walking it can take forever to get there because he stops and stares at everything.
Aiden rubbernecks big time when we're out if the house. Our #1 issue is airplanes. Do you have any idea how many we see here?! Oy. In fact today it was an airplane that distracted him and caused him to fall forward into the stairs at the playground hurting his head and then backwards into the sand!!!
But pretty much anything different will distract him. He's pretty good around the house other than fall off of stools on occassion because he's watching me or the cat and not his feet.

We see an awful lot of airplanes here too, as you know (my house is only two miles from the AFB) and Addy is interested and excited about them, but not so excited that she'd fall off playground equipment! Her main issue is getting distracted by watching people and walking into doors and stuff--no major injuries incurred yet.
Although I'm starting to wonder about my responses to her injuries, because yesterday she did this:
"I bumped my head!" [pause, walk over to refrigerator, purposefully bang head on it] "I bumped my head! I need ice!" :roll:
Madison will say "Ow, head" & pat it. it's cute. But she's a pretty tough cookie and doesn't usually cry unless it scares her.
Madison has a thing with stars and when we leave in the mornings it's dark so she's so excited and seems to run into my car every morning. I have no clue what her deal is with stars!
