    Happy 5 months Kole!!!
Anna sent me the cutest pic today of Kole all wrapped up on her front. So sweet. Loved it.

So we had no power all day today. Thankfully had my OB appt this morning. Absolutely boring and quick as it should be. Did get a few questions answered so I can start on my birth plan (wanted to know which things I need to fight and what is normal course of action). I'm at 2 week appts now! EEK. I then drug Aiden shopping and out for lunch. Came home and saw power was still out, so we went back out again. It was WAAAAAAY too hot to stay in the house with no AC and no fans.

How did I miss that Adair cuteness?!?! I'm totally jealous. Teagan's just been telling me to "Go Away" lately. A far cry from "I love you, mommy".

Great appt, Jackie! What sort of things did you find that you'll need to fight?

Big nasty storm rolling in. I'm not looking forward to riding my bike back to daycare.

    Have fun with those.

Pit after birth. Don't have to fight it, but I do have to make sure it's in my birth plan and that whoever is there is aware that I don't want a bag of pit. It's "routine" but not uncommon at all for moms to refuse it.
The real fight? Water during labor. Not too worried about food cause I honestly plan to stay out of the hospital as long as possible and I had zero desire to eat with Aiden (I AM going to make myself eat small things before I go in though!). But seriously no water b/c I might need a RCS? DUMB. Especially since they're fine with just the hep lock, so no IV fluids while I'm laboring unless it's needed *and* I agree to it. So naturally, I'm gonna need to drink water right? Well, there is a bathroom there and I can labor in the shower.....
The other things I asked went right along with what I want at least. I'm sure I'll have more questions in two weeks.

Though part of me hopes that I'll have a nice quick birth and can just stay at home. Assuming DH doesn't have a heart attack.

I wasn't allowed any water for DS's birth. That sucked. I hadn't eaten for 28? hours when I went in for my c/s. I was starving when they started the pit at 7am (so 13 hours after eating), but that went away with the horrible contractions. Hmmmm....maybe I WILL be hungry at some point this labor since it won't be pit.

I never made it to the hospital, but I had packed water, gatorade and granola bars in my bag. For DH, of course. There isn't someone in your room watching you all the time............
