So he is distracted, go read smut Jackie Smile

I am so in a rut right now, I have no motivation for anything and am starting to get really down and don't know what to do to combat it. I am so bored with everything I do lately and get so sick of sitting home fighting Ronin to bed or if by some miracle he goes to bed just staring at the trash on tv.

Um, yeah, this is pretty much the very heart of everything that I ever get mad at DH about. When I'm feeling calm, I realize that it's a problem that has to do with a lot more than just him, and I can hate it but the only way to change it is to ask for change.

When I am not feeling calm, I...well, I think you all know because I think we all deal with this at one point or another! At least knowing that helps me tame the crazy.

I feel so buff I feel like I'm floating! And I also sincerely apologize to everyone who has to be in a twenty foot radius of me for the rest of the afternoon. Yuck. Going to need to think about how to better manage this sweating in the middle of the day plan...although probably not getting lost and walking an extra half mile in the noonday sun will help, now that I know where I'm going Blum 3

JACKIE!!! Deep breaths. What's more distracting than a non-napping toddler, anyway??

I haven't been able to get into any new book series lately. It seems if you ask for ideas all you get is everyone telling you Fisty shades of Grey, I have that, it's crap and I am not forcing myself to read it. My library doesn't have an overly wide selection either, ebing a regional library covering a small area

Leigh I really like historical fiction, but I will try most things. Not a fan of fantasy or sci fi though, I just can't read them

I do have two parenting books I should read, No cry sleep solution for toddler s and toddler taming, but I want a fun read too.

Just went to find my NCSS book to read at lunch because the lunchroom conversation is awful, seriusly the other day they were dicussing tattoos on the penis, and one of the girls always brings up conversations previously had and it just gets smutty half the time. I think a big issue is there are very few, if any right now, people I can easily connect with at work. Most are childless and never want children, can be quite immature and inapropriate and find it funny.

Stacy, its 2500 if I recall correctly. That LAST pencil is wicked hard to get.

I'm glad you feel great, Leigh! The feeling after I workout is what keeps me coming back for more. I dread the feeling before I workout. You know, the feeling of "Do I really have to do this? But I don't wanna!" If we really start going regularly it'll get easier. The first few weeks are usually when I fall off the wagon. But if I can get past that then its smooth sailing until I hit some kind of road block ... like pregnancy ... or severe cold weather. Good thing we don't get much of the latter here. Though the summer heat here is just as bad. If I don't ride up tomorrow, I'll come do cardio with you. But I'm really going to try to ride. I much prefer the changing scenery to watching the back of some undergrads head bobbing up and down. Oh, and I keep deodorant in my desk drawer. I give myself a quick wipe down with a wet paper towel in the bathroom and then apply deodorant. It at least helps to keep me feeling semi-human and doesn't take up nearly as much time as a shower.

DH is so avoiding me today!

You know what's worse than sitting around anticipating RSVPs for a party you're throwing ... sitting around anticipating RSVPs for your kid's party. I'm thinking tomorrow's Open House at daycare will elicit a few RSVPs.

Working out means I can eat more ice cream. Perhaps a stop at the grocery store is in order. Smile

Well, that was interesting. I seriously asked my husband if he was exchanging sexual favors after he told me the results. He failed his flight, but yet somehow passed his progress check??? Yeah, I'm not sure how that worked out. He has two more flights of the same type left to go and as long as he passes them, he's good to move on to the next phase (and a clean slate). But by the time that happens he'll be soooooooo far behind that it's guaranteed that he'll be flying on Saturdays too. So his next flight is Friday. Fingers crossed that he rocks this one!

Janice, I've tried the 30 day shred. It's actually a good workout and only like 20-25 minutes long. Everytime I switched to the next step up, it kicked my booty. But I could tell a difference and quick. Have you been talking to DH about TTC and he just wants to wait?

Interesting!! i am tempted to try it i have heard good things about it i just don't know if i would stick with it as i tend not to. DH and i have been talking about it, he wants me off my bp pills first which i can understand and agree with, butttttt they are pregnancy safe and my bp isn't even high anymore. It ranges from low to pre hypertensive but is normally in the normal range. My Dr. is just being extra cautious he says it will go back up if i get off them. Honestly, i think he is being too cautious because he has been lowering the dose and it hasn't gone up. I am going to go in another week or so and hopefully have them lowered again, and then off them. My biggest worry is it going back up with gaining pregnancy weight.

He just clams up. DRIVES ME BATTY. He probably wants to wait until after his exam (or longer) to even begin thinking about it. Ugh. I brought it up again this morning and tried to push the financial thing and he just walked away.

I'm glad it wasn't terrible news, Jackie! I remember that pic of you PG with Aiden. You totally have this look of "Get this kid the hell outta me". You're not as big yet and your belly is more basket ball like. You look great!

I really shouldn't have picked to cook a meal that requires a lot of parmesan cheese grating after my buff workout today.

ROFL

And that's because I was OVER being pregnant. Pretty sure if it wasn't almost 100* that NOVEMBER day I might have been a bit happier to be that far. But it was super hot. Have I mentioned how much I love the weather here???? High of 80 the past few days. It feels like cool fall days to me after Vegas and Del Rio!

Jackie, We had a 'cold' front on Saturday and it's been in the upper 80's here all week. I don't think it's supposed to even get up to 80 today, but we are FINALLY supposed to get a little rain. You look super cute with a big belly! You seriously make pregnancy look good. You are just a smidge smaller right now than you were with Aiden in that pic (or at least that's how it looks from here), but you still have a lot of growing to do! Are you getting new stretch marks? With Kole I got a whole new batch of stretch marks.

So I want to know where my medal or trophy is. I deserve a prize. I drove 3 hours yesterday to spend some time with my mom, just me a 5 month old and a 23 month old potty training toddler. On the way home, Kole cried non stop for at least half the trip before he fell asleep. It made me feel horrible since he isn't a crier, but it's not like I can hold him in my lap as we drive down the road. It was pure carseat hate too. Overall they were pretty good, but that doesn't mean it was easy to make stops with 2 by myself for potty breaks, diaper changes, feedings etc. Next time, mom is coming to ME! I feel like I have a hangover this morning and I've had no alcohol!

PT update: Lyla did pretty good using the potty, but in the car she peed on herself 4 times. I need to get her to a stage where she is telling me when she needs to go instead of me reminding her to go. Otherwise, she did good. At one point she announced, "Pee in the car?" while we were driving. I immediately found somewhere to pull over saying "Don't pee in the car, Lyla, pee in the potty only." It was too late obviously.

Now. Off to enjoy my rainy day.

Yes, I am getting new stretch marks. Thankfully the worst ones have contained themselves to my c/s scar area. The picture doesn't show it well, but she's really crammed herself much lower than Aiden stretching out that lower area tons more. But hey, if I'm gonna get news ones at least they're below the belly button??? lol

Anna, go you for braving that trip alone! Celebrate survival!!! And it's actually a great sign to me that she said "pee in the car?" even if it was too late. Her recognizing this is great. My kiddo wouldn't recognize this at all. lol

I agree that that's an awesome sign.

Glad your news wasn't awful, Jackie, but I know you must wish it was more definitive! LOL to the sexual favors, though Blum 3

Erin...oh no, mine has parmesan too!! I didn't even think of that, since I'm not cooking until the afternoon....I may be partially paralyzed at the Open House tonight.

Just got a random middle of the day phone call from my husband all excited. He still failed his flight, but his debrief this morning of the flight was actually mostly good news. The syllabus stuff that he had to pass specifically for this ride he actually did pass! If he hadn't messed up ground ops, he would have passed his flight. Blum 3 The bad stuff on his grade sheets last night were mostly misunderstandings. As in DH's radar messed up, no fault of his own. The commander watched my husband's flight tapes (yep, everything is recorded!) and noted that he was wrong in his in air observations and that DH actually did make good decisions. And admitted that DH probably did better in previous flights than noted because DH was making advanced observations that they didn't think he was. GOOD GRIEF. These people never watch all of the tapes (lets face it, there's no time!) until now. So DH has confidence that he can totally rock this same flight Friday (yay! lol) and we can all move on. Prayers/good vibes/whatever that he doesn't have a brain fart and mess up Friday for something totally dumb!!!

ETA - RE sexual favors: What else was I supposed to think when he passed but yet failed?!?! Lol

Exactly, Jackie, that screams sexual favors!! I failed but actually passed because my favors are awesome!! Blum 3 Your belly pics are great. You have a great pg belly.

Anna, way to go on the car trip. It's not easy with one, and it sounds like you rocked it! Sorry you feel hungover.

Jackie, that's great...mostly because hearing "Oh, you're actually doing well, WE screwed up" must be a BIG boost to his confidence. Hopefully they will be paying better attention on Friday...!!!

So, in order to earn a bit of a discount, I volunteer at Addy's school as the Labels for Education Coordinator. Mostly it's not much work, but I'm earning it now...I have to SPEAK to the entire school at the Open House tonight. AAAAAAA!!!

Man...I am loving this drop in temperature in general, but I wasn't thinking and made a BAD wardrobe choice today. I'm dressed like it's still 109 outside and now I am FREEZING IN HERE. What do I do!? I might have to go buy a t-shirt at the student union. It's that bad. ETA: Done. Man, everything there is either ****ty or expensive!!!!

You are one BRAVE woman, Anna. Far braver than me and you rocked it. Peeing in the carseat really can't be helped until they're telling us they need to pee. T's not there yet. She'll tell me she needs to poop but not pee. Just gotta wait that one out.

That's FANTASTIC news, Jackie! What a relief its just military incompetence and not your having poor flight skills.

The weather has been amazing lately, hasn't it!? I've actually been able to take Teagan to the playground and we've been able to take the dogs out walking. Its awesome. I keep a sweatshirt in my desk drawer for those days when I make poor wardrobe choices. I have control over the thermostat in my office but the classrooms I go to are often wicked cold.

Teagan was a force to be reckoned with this morning. She woke at 4am, which is rare. DH went in to soothe her and made a stop at the bathroom first. While he was peeing, Teagan got out of bed, opened her door, opened my bedroom door, and climbed into bed with me. Great, I thought. The world has just ended. I figured there was no point in having him drag her back to her room kicking and screaming at 4am so I just let her snuggle up and nurse. And nurse she did. Until 6:30. All I wanted was a little toddler free time to relax. DH took her to the living room and proceeded to just let her scream and run to my door and open it like a dozen times. So I got up grumpily. Then she was fine. Until she decided that she'd rather play 'hide in the box' than get dressed. I managed to get through that with minimal tears. We got to daycare and DH had to bolt off on his bike to get to a meeting. I was left in the parking lot with a toddler, her crap, a large container of pasta, and sore biceps. I asked Teagan nicely if she could walk. She declined, adamantly. Screaming and crying ensued. DH had to turn around at the end of the block (he could hear her screaming) and carry her to the daycare door, where he left me with a toddler, her crap, a large container of pasta, and sore biceps. I used every trick I could think of to get her to walk to her damn classroom. Seriously tried for like 10 minutes then gave up, put the pasta on the floor and dashed her to her to the playground where I threw her at the first person I could find. Then I went back and got the pasta, put all her crap where it needed to go, and went to say goodbye. Of course, the terror tot was happily going down the slide with Addy. WTF, child?!?! I told her that Addy was out here and that if you'd only just walk down the damn hall that you could slide with her. But NOOOOOOOooooo. Mwargh.

Didn't get my ride in this morning on account of the terror tot but I'm heading to the gym now because I can't look like a punk after Leigh's already been to the gym today. Peer pressure is awesome. Smile

Getting my hair did today at least! And I'm dragging DH with me to chop off his ridiculous mop. I'm going to make him get it cut short that that he'll have more time before it gets ridiculous again.

Totally. Maybe throw some plastic and a prefold in there so you're not washing out car seats (I am OVER washing car seats after cleaning out two puke filled ones in less than a week!) My SIL still has to do that with her 3yo on long car trips.

PEER PRESSURE IS TOTALLY AWESOME. Anybody want to be virtual gym partners with us, just say the word. Accountability is the ONLY thing getting my butt over there every day.

Can't wait to see! In typical Leigh fashion, I'm all "Okay, short was fun. Now I want to grow it out again." Sometimes I envy people who have had the same hair their entire lives. I am never content.

Can't wait to see! In typical Leigh fashion, I'm all "Okay, short was fun. Now I want to grow it out again." Sometimes I envy people who have had the same hair their entire lives. I am never content.

This is me exactly. I'm trying to grow mine out right now, but then I think, "it was so cute when it was shorter." I do miss a ponytail though.

Erin, ugh, what a morning. Hooray for a haircut today. I used to enjoy those too, now I take Evan with me. My sister does my hair, so I take Evan with me to get his cut too. So I get to keep up with a toddler for 1.5 hours while trying to stay still to get colored and cut. And he loves helping her wash and rinse my hair. I have to say, it's cute sometimes, but sometimes I would like a nice relaxing time. DH is going with us this weekend, so he can chase Evan. WooHoo!!
