Weird spotting

Hey ladies
Well as you may know I JUST got af back! LOL! Anyhoo, I'm on CD 20ish. I was trying to track O via OPT and cm, thinking it was going to happen around cd 18ish. Well never got a positive opk, but I did miss some days. Had ewcm 2 days around cd 15, but nothing confirmed obviously. Today and yesterday I've had some spotting, well almost more like cm that has blood in it. I've never had this before.

Is this typical of a first cycle after so long? i think i remember this happing to someone else right? We've only dtd once (nice! LOL!) around cd 10 and I have taken a hpt tht was neg.

What do you think? Normal? Annov cycle? Should retest in a few?

I think pretty much anything is normal with the first few cycles PP. However, since things can be so wonky it's hard to pinpoint O or even if you O. I would have sworn I never O'd the cycle I got pg. I was only seeing AF about every 53 to 59 days and had only had AF twice, (March and May), so it was interesting to say the least, because I had no idea how far along I was for a while.

Anyway, I would say POAS again in a few days and even every few days after that to be sure. Everyone is different obviously, but once AF has reared her head, anything is possible, IMO. KUP.

Yeah, PP AF cycles are totally weird. I O'd really early the first (like day 7) and never even noticed the cm change. Then my 2nd cycle I though I'd O really early again but nothing until really late like day 25 when the OPK finally went + and I noticed a cm change. That would have made that cycle really long had I not gotten preg. You could alway test to put your mind at ease. Also if you have some OPK strips left still, then I'd keep testing that too to see if you O later on before AF arrives. Seriously, I felt like it was a science project trying to figure out those first 2 AF's I had. GL!

I got AF back a while ago, and my cycles are still wonky (not that they weren't before pregnancy/childbirth though). I am pretty sure the majority of my cycles right now are annovulatory. Good luck figuring it out!

Well it looks like full blown AF now. A 20 day cycle?!?!? That better not be the freaking norm now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! It will get back to normal after a bit, I'm sure!

My first cycles PP and up until I stopped regularly breastfeeding were fairly long, 5-6 weeks if I recall. It didn't seem strange to me at the time as before I was pregnant, my cycles were always 5 weeks plus so I thought I was back to normal. However, I stopped breastfeeding except once at night just after DD turned 1 and all of a sudden my periods have been 4 weeks like clockwork-pretty much the textbook cycle. They were never like this before having dd, always 5 weeks, give or take a few days, and while it is somewhat nice to be able to predict exactly when AF is going to show, I am bummed that she is now showing more frequently. I guess my point is that pregnancy and breastfeeding do funny things to AF-it may be different the first few cycles its back and even when your cycle becomes "normal" again, it may be a new "normal" compared to before getting pregnant! But I would POAS in a few days just to see.

PP AFs can be really wonky. My cycles are 31 days long now despite having 28 day cycles for the past .... forever. I also have a tiny bit of spotting about 1 week before AF shows up (freaks me out every time thinking its implantation bleeding) that I never had before but I think that's due to my IUD.
