God this heat must be what's making me sick (felt awful all day yesterday too). I spent some time outside in my parent's pool because DS was throwing a huge fit that his Nana and Pops were outside and he wasn't. My son has zero fear of the water. He's trying to swim with floaties now.

And I need to plan some meals for camping. What are you favorite camping meals?

Cheesy Potatoes:
3 potatoes, 1"cubes
3T parmesean cheese
1/2t salt
1/4t pepper
2T butter
wrap in tin foil packet, grill for 15-18minutes
add 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese & 1/2 cup bacon (or omit if you don't eat meat).
Seal back up and grill for 3-5 minutes

I also like baked potatoes with the fixings, grilled veggies either right on the grill as kabobs or in a tin foil packet.

Anna- Great pic, and woohoo for the $300 in a yard sale. That's pretty darn good.

I'm home, by myself tonight. Feels very strange. The hospital admitted DH to keep an eye on him tonight. They're still not sure what is wrong yet either. He's ok just very tired, and wanting some answers. My Mom is keeping Madison all night and as long as I need her to tomorrow. I'm just watching some TV and getting ready for bed now. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he gets some answers and can come home tomorrow.

Hope your hubby gets some answers.

half an hour to get Ronin down for a nap today and there are tons of planes about for a sky diving event so who knows how long he will sleep for. If you see me on for a bit tell me to get off because i really need to clean this pigsty of a house and do washing. I need a better routine, it wasn't bad before but the new role at work makes me so worn out lately.
Ohh and we might be painting this whole house, or at least all the living areas, the whole place is a blue colour right now, but my Dad has about 120l of paint we can have for nothing which is a more neutral light beige type colour so if it works out i get to redecorate. The more neutral colour will be nice because we can change almost everything, plus we have been pricing kitchens, hubby found one he liked for around five grand without appliances or tap ware and the layout would allow me to get my stove from it's useless corner and have the sink under a window. thankfully we know some tradies who can either do the work for a carton of beer or heavily discounted rates as a cash job

Molly, I hope they have some answers for you soon. I think the hardest part of stuff like that is the not knowing. KUP when you hear something.

I haven't measured Lyla in a while. I wonder how tall she is, she's also in 24 month/2T clothes.

Erin, I love the new FB pics. She is so darn cute! Lyla STILL puts everything in her mouth so it would not be prudent for her to have pom poms like Teagan had. They would all be in her mouth.

Lyla has had an amazing week of potty training. She has been going by herself. There have been times when I've been nursing Kole or doing something else and heard the toilet flush. I go check and she's taken off her panties and peed in the potty, emptied it in the toilet and flushed. We had one accident per day until today. Today it's like a total and complete regression. I don't get it. I guess it's DH being home. That's the only thing that was really different today and we've had one accident after another all day.

Molly...oh my goodness, glad he's getting checked out, but I hope it turns out to be something simple and fixable and you guys can put this behind you soon. I imagine it feels very strange to be home alone right now! Best thoughts are with you...KUP!!

Anna: Awesome pic. True Motherhood Biggrin

I just cannot believe how much crap one tiny room can hold. This is basically like cleaning out a storage container where everything is loose and not in boxes. We worked basically straight from 10-5 today and our house is EXPLODED, there is still at least as much stuff as we went through today left to go through, we have $400 in trade at the local used book/entertainment store, and I still have a trunkful of stuff they didn't take to try at the other location tomorrow. This is CRAZY. On the other hand IT FEELS SO GOOD TO GET RID OF ALL THIS STUFF!!!!! I feel like I just cut off all my hair or lost 40 pounds. Or at least halfway to that feeling. .......exhausting work, though! Thankfully Adair had a blast with her grandma all morning and then napped until 3:15, so we had lots of toddler free time to work. We're going to have to be a little creative from here on out...

Leigh - sounds like a great start!

Anna - that's normal that she's "regressing". She may be too excited to remember to go when your DH is home?

I'm having an odd day today. We were on our way to the zoo and Livy threw up all over. So we cleaned her up, drove home and she's down for a nap. I hope it was just something strange and she's not getting sick. DH turned around and took DS to the zoo by themselves. Believe it or not, I have no idea what to do with myself having a quiet house! LOL

it's crazy! I watched a show, ate lunch, messed around on the computer too! Smile

Course the bad part is that Livy really does seem to be sick at the point. She slept in the crib for 2 hours, nursed, and then fell asleep on the living room floor and is still there an hour later. Poor baby! I'm sure glad DH took DS though, it's allowed her to nap so much longer than she would have otherwise.

Aw, poor Livy! Hope it's just a quick bug and nothing major Sad

I am SO TIRED today my patience is zero...I feel bad, but man...zzzzzzzzzzz

SO last night we had our first bloody trauma. It was such a freak accident, too--I was reading Adair books before bed in the rocking chair in her room, which is wood, and she was sitting between my legs on the seat (not on my lap). Somehow, she leaned forward as I rocked forward and slipped/fell out of the chair. Which would have been no big deal, except one of her dresser drawers had caught a piece of clothing and not quite closed, and she hit her head exactly on the sharp corner of drawer that was just barely sticking out. At first I just thought she'd bonked her head and freaked herself out, so I automatically scooped her up and kissed her head...why is it wet?...pulled back and we were both covered in blood. AAAAAAA!!!! And of course DH had chosen that moment to be indisposed in the bathroom. I managed to get it together enough to find the source (small but deep, awful looking cut/puncture) hold a washcloth on her head and clean up a lot of the blood before he came out, but I was SO nauseous and dizzy from looking at it (I don't handle bodily trauma well) that I was really worried I was going to lose it before he got there Sad In the end of course it was fine, and she picked out Muppet bandaids at the store today and is perfectly normal. But yikes! I am really glad she's the cautious type and at least not likely to invite a lot of this kind of thing...*sigh*

I'm so glad Addy is fine! We've been to the ER twice for stitch worthy wounds in the head with DS. The last one was really bad, so bad they had to sedate him. So scary! The first was jumping off something and the second was managing to fall off the end of the bed and cracking his head open. *sigh* I'm so over going to the ER for him!

It's Canada day here today Yahoo it is an amazing weekend here, like 30-32 degrees every day i think that is 90-92 for you guys Wink between yesterday and today we have literally spent the whole time outdoors. Lucas is pooped and slept in until 9am today! i am hoping he sleeps in again tomorrow. Although tomorrow is a rest day for us we don't have anything going on.

My husband is the kind to freak out over blood and such! lol. Glad that she's doing well.

My son decided to dive head first into my parents pool today. Thankfully we had already decided days before that he wouldn't ever be inside the pool gates without two adults and floaties on his arms. I dived in followed by my dad (we were getting the pool stuff out of the storage bench and were literally right next to DS). Kid had already managed to right himself though. Held his breath and didn't even swallow any water. In fact, he thought it was fun. This kid has no fear. :banghead: Just glad that everyone agreed to my paranoia! Glad we're leaving early tomorrow morning so DS doesn't have another chance to jump into a pool again. All afternoon he kept swimming to the ladder (yep, we've got basic swimming with floaties!), climbing up the ladder, and attempting to jump off the side. *sigh*
I'm so ready to be home and sleep in my own bed!!! Oh and have sex. I miss sex. Blum 3

I met a natural birth dad today, it was awesome, he is so excited to help his partner with hypnobabies and natural birth.

Went on a bush tucker walk as well, so a pretty fun morning.

So tired lately though, it's going to kill me if i have to keep this pace up, but it's a busy week and i should go to bed but i am trying to stay up a few night s a week until hubby gets home. I also have to try and bribe him to look after Ronin on his own tomorrow night because i have been invited out to join a trivia team. I think my chances will be between slim and none.

Yikes! Thanks for the reminder that I need to stop and get Adair some new floaties...her cousins took the ones she was using on a month long trip, and she has no fear now either. I like your rule--I'm instituting it. Glad Aiden was able to handle it, at least! Addy thinks she can, but still swallows a lot of water when her face goes in.

That was my DH. A major plus! Biggrin

My preggo BFF (since middle school) and her husband are moving here TODAY! I am so freaking excited.

Oh, and my child's internal alarm clock is crazy. I know everyone thinks I should put her to bed later so she doesn't wake up at 5:00-5:30 but IT DOESN'T WORK. Last night we were at my grandma's and she ended up staying up until 10:15...woke up at 5:20. I had to get up anyway since it's Monday, but....seriously? At least putting her down between 7:00 and 8:00 we get an evening to ourselves...for an hour or two, since we're always so tired from waking up with the freaking birds! :banghead: Oh, well. Someday.

Molly, any news on your DH? Oh, what is the new smut book? My sister is now reading Bared to You. She said it's pretty smuttified.

Leigh, Woohoo on decluttering!!

Anna, I love that picture. Your DH should give you some sympathy.

Jackie, I bet that scared you to death, Aiden jumping in the pool. Silly kiddos.

We had a pretty low key weekend, which is great with me. Evan and DH slept tons. Saturday, 2 hr 50 min nap, Sunday, 3 hr 45 min nap. I finally went in to see if they were going to sleep all afternoon. Poor kid naps like his daddy!! But that's good for me to get things done or to take a nap myself.

We may still be working on this by then. Yesterday I found a huge mousehole in the corner behind all the packaging stuff and wrapping paper. :puke2: Getting a little worried about the floor replacement part of the project...we pulled up one corner and there's some old linoleum tile under there! NOOOO!!! Ugh, fingers crossed.

Molly--no news on DH yet?

Stacy- that would be the book haha. Oh and DH just got home about 45 min ago. Basically he had a kick a$$ virus that attacked his liver. So we just have to keep an eye on things and he'll see the Dr. Friday for another lab draw.

I wish my kid napped that much holy crap!!

I guess I'll have to read that one too!! Wow about your DH. Hopefully it is gone soon.

I'm hoping that DS isn't coming down with anything since he slept that long. But he went to bed later than normal on Friday and Saturday night, maybe that is it. He does usually nap for around 3 hours though when he is home for his weekend nap. Silly boy!!

Addy naps like that too. 2.5-3.5 hours is her "normal". I guess it makes up for the 5:00am wakeup calls?....kinda.

Molly, glad it was just a virus but I hope it didn't do any serious damage!! I take it he's home now? Yikes!

Leigh- SCARY! I'm glad Addy is OK. DH is the one that clams up when he sees blood. Not his own blood though. On me or T he just doesn't know what to do and stands there stammering. I'm the one that has to jump into action. Like when I was 5 months pregnant and knocked out my tooth with a piece going through my lip. I had to instruct him on what to do.

Jackie - equally scary! Tell that punk kid to quit scaring his preggo mommy.

Molly- I'm glad they found the source of the problem and that its something that will just take some time to heal.

DH started the stool this weekend!! Which means we now own a table saw that's taking up half my back porch. We were super lazy this morning and now we're running really late. We all slept in until about 8:30! I'm having a hard time getting anything started because I know we're leaving in a few days. Perhaps I'll take the car to the shop and have someone look at the AC. I told DH that it had to be fixed before our road trip or else I couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't kill him somewhere between here and Albuquerque.

I think that's fair. Wink

It's weird, for me...it's not BLOOD, per se, it's more the broken skin itself. I'm not freaked out by a nosebleed or blood related to childbirth, but I can barely even read that sentence about tooths and lips. *shudder* I'm still keeping a close eye on it (as much as I hate to)...it's not large, but it's a DEEP cut, like an open puncture. The corner really stabbed her. It's still weeping blood, although it's clean and not showing any signs of infection or anything. I'm just regularly changing her bandaid (which sucks because it's in her hairline...ouch!), keeping it clean with Neosporin spray and watching out for any additional redness or swelling...hopefully it'll close up soon. She doesn't seem to even remember it's there most of the time, so I am not TOO worried...but I'll be happier when it's scabbed over and healing.

So last night she had FOUR HELPINGS of fish. FOUR. She ate more fish than some of the adults. It was really good fish, though.

I think it was both tilapia and cod...I'm not totally sure--my mom bought it and DH cooked it. All I know is it was mild white fish, and he breaded and pan fried it. It was REALLY delicious. She probably ate about the equivalent of one LARGE fillet...maybe a little more.

I've pulled some weird muscle in my back, and every time I breathe in it's like someone's stabbing me. AWESOME!

I can't WAIT to see this stool. Any other plans for the major power tool ya'll now own? Lol

Well, even if it doesn't float your boat, I thought I'd let you all know that I get to go on a girls' night tonight for dinner, drinks, and Magic Mike. WooHoo!!! I've heard the movie has no storyline at all and isn't that great, but there is a plus side of seeing some hotties. I figure I'll just have an extra drink at the restaurant before watching the movie. That should make it better. Blum 3

Alcohol makes everything better- Hey Leigh, there is a solution to your probably too Biggrin

I've heard MM was over-rated. I can't say I've had the urge to see it. But if it had different actors I might be more into it. The Rock & Vin Diesel come to mind.

Yeah...from May-October, having a family member with a pool and an open-door policy is definitely near the top of the "things I am thankful for" list, right behind the basics like health and employment. Wink

A pool does sound nice. We had one when I was a kid, a 24' above ground and I got so sick of cleaning it and all that junk that I told DH never again....I'll get over that if these summers stay this hot.
