Toddlers have their own brand of crazy don't they. I adsked hubby after he watched me with Ronin yesterday if he worked out why I was always tired and he said nope. He almost got a smack down because Ronin had super crazy happening yesterday.
Oh good grief. My husband watched Aiden this morning for a few hours so I could get sleep (ah it was wonderful!), and he said he gets why I've been so crabby this past week. The kid is constant whining and constantly climbing and constantly torturing the cat and more!!!
Ronin just threw hubbys phone in the bin bag I was getting ready to take downstairs. Thankfully it was all just plastic and cardboard rubbish from things we had recently bought but still. He exhausts me so much some days and because I am still up with him at night it's even harder, especially because his teeth must have been giving him a hard time last night eh woke up whinging constantly and after awhile I fought him to take some baby panadol and he nursed and passed out so it must have been teething pain. I'm taking a guess my hubby won't be home in his lunch break today so I don't get a break at all.
I know how that goes! I'm so over teeth.

so Lucas totally loves little plastic food and is obsessed with them at daycare. I went out and bought a little package of them and it is stuffed. there seriously must be like 50 pieces of food in there. he loves it! he has been sitting here playing with them for the last hour. i have to say though it was in the dress up aisle in a pink container. how come boys can't like plastic food?
Because don't you know it's only the women folk who should be playing pretend on making the food to serve the men folk *end sarcasm* Ronin loves the play food at day care as well
I am having a bad Mummy moment, to finish getting ready I put kids shows on and popped Ronin on his little couch. He hasn't moved in like 10 minutes. Fail Mummy moment. This is the first time tv has held his attention for longer than 5 seconds.
Like that posting Janice!
The play food can only be played with by girls b/c only girls get play kitchens ya know. If you leave kids alone, they'll both equally play with the play kitchen stuff.
Got to meet with a BWer who was passing through town today! She taught me a new back carry that I can't wait to practice with more.
You know your pantry is bare when your child has the last 10 goldfish crackers, the last 20 oyster crackers, and one slice of cheese for dinner. DH and I had jalape?o tilapia pasta for dinner which isn't exactly toddler friendly, but I didn't really thank through what Aiden was going to eat.
i think Lucas' favourite toy at daycare is the kitchen. My provider says he plays with it all the time. I have also seen him go straight to dolls when they are around.
Jackie, we went to wild wings for dinner and it wasn't that child friendly either. Lucas had calamari rings, boneless chicken bites, and the black olives out of my greek salad
Sounds a bit better than cheese, cheese crackers, and crackers. Oh well, at least he ate food again? (We've had issues getting him to eat recently with all these teeth coming through.)
LOOOOOVE it! http://pinterest.com/pin/84231455500615939/
I saw that one before and love it!
I love that picture
Ronin has his first experience about the downside of being a boy and the associated parts toiday. The little girls at day care were patting him while he laid on the ground then one got up and stepped on him, right in a very painful spot. poor little guy
Oh no! lol.
Finally got to go to the nature center today! Been trying to go the whole time we've lived here. It was a lot of fun and perfect for Aiden. They let him pet a 6" harmless little snake, a turtle, a parrie dog, and a salamander. He also chased the cats they keep in the building there. They offered to pull out a a tarantula spider for us to pet, but I drew the line there. No way, no how. lol. We also went on a hike (pic on FB) and went inside a 3 story butterfly garden building. While most butterflies aren't out yet, there were more than enough to entertain Aiden.
And now back to packing. *sigh*
Where is everyone??? I know Christa is on her phone and finds it too much of a pain to post from there. What about the rest of you?!
Studying for a midterm. Sigh. I'm probably going to be pretty scarce for the next 3 weeks or so.
good excuse. lol. Best of luck to you! Catch you on the flip side.
I'm sitting in a nasty motel room. This whole building is not that old and we picked it for that reason. So not worth the price we paid for it! We stopped by the hospital to see dad for a minute, but he was asleep and they don't allow kids in the ICU so it was a very brief visit for tonight. After going downhill all day he finally showed some improvement this evening. They had to put him on a breathing tube earlier today and he wasn't very lucid, 'they' said because he wasn't getting enough oxygen to his brain due to fluid in his lungs. . . there's a lot going on. Anyway, we're here. I doubt I'll be on here much for a few days though. There's talk of transferring my dad to a bigger hospital in Corpus tomorrow sometime, so we'll see how that goes. That's what I've been doing. My ankles got a bit cankley on the trip down here. Lyla was amazingly wonderful the whole trip. The only time she got really fussy was when she had a poopy diaper.
I slept in this morning until 6:30am so instead of getting on here while eating breakfast and having a coffe I had to hang washing, make lunches, stuff nappies, then I made pancakes and berry sauce for hubby and Ronin because it was Shrove Tuesday all before 7am
Anna, I left you a FB message too, but I'm thinking and praying for you and your dad. I knew you were traveling to see him. :grouphug: KUP. I hope he shows improvement soon.
You are way too productive sometimes Wendy. I think we're going to have pancakes with blueberry sauce for dinner tonight. Yummy!
Wendy- you are such an overachiever.
DD1 keeps taking the computer so i'm stuck with just my phone. She says she's doing papers for school but I'm pretty sure she's doing a lot of pinterest. I'm going to keep the computer tonight and she can just get over it.
Anna- :bigarmhug: you guys are in my constant thoughts and prayers!!!
Young pinterest addict! I can't even get my 18 yo sister to join!
her's is filled with hair do's and dresses she wants for homecoming dances I'm never letting her get old enough to attend and makeup that I'll never buy her and food
Ha ha ha ha! That's so much more fun than typing papers mom.
I may have done all of that ysterday, but I didn't have nbreakfast myself. I ended up having porridge when I got to work.
So they tried to get my dad off the ventilator today, but after letting him breath on his own for an hour they decided he's not ready yet. They are going to try again tomorrow. I hope he stabilizes more soon so that I can feel okay about going back home. With DH still unemployed we really can't afford to stay here very long, not to mention I already moved my appointment from this Thursday to next week. I hate this. It sucks.
Looks like it's been a slow day in chat, so I don't guess I missed very much. I hope everyone is doing good.
Christa, I'm happy to see that your brother is doing so much better! I bet nobody is happier than your SIL though.
((hugs)) Anna! I hope it goes much, much better tomorrow.
anna- how are things going today with your dad?
Jackie- how's it going in your world?!
My world is filled with boxes and stuff just everywhere. Aiden likes to rearrange everything on me. I can usually keep him distracted enough with his own empty box to fill and dump for a few minutes, but then he's back unpacking my box for me. I've gotten a good deal done at least. Should have everything pretty much ready to be shoved in the uhaual when we pick it up Saturday. Rental furniture leaves Friday afternoon. We have 2 nights of sleeping on the floor and then we can get into a TLF. We hope to finally leave Tuesday morning.
You are amazing! I have no idea how you are dealing with all of this. I'd be a (drunken) wreck at this point.
Are you getting excited to get to NC?
oh Anna :bighug: I hope he is doing better today.
Jackie i couldn't imagine packing with Lucas around right now. Good thing you only have half your stuff?
I think I am going to try menu planning. i keep going to make a meal and we are missing something so I can't make it. If i can save some money in the process that is a bonus too. We spend a lot on groceries in a month
for those of you that menu plan, have you checked this site out? http://www.howdoesshedoit.com/ it's pretty sweet!
Interesting! Never heard of that site. I just type my menu up on word using recipes from my blog, pinterest, my cookbooks, and such.
The best way to save money is to make sure there are common items, use up what you have before it goes bad, and check sale ads/coupons.
Even though I say on my blog that I've paused menus, I still make out menus just for two days at a time based on what we have. I've only spent $10 so far this week on groceries and half of that was eggs and milk. I've just come up with interesting things with what we already have.
I was wreck back in Nov and early Dec. It really is much easier just packing everything up as opposed to picking and choosing what to pack and what to not pack. Plus I remember how I boxed items up, so that's going quicker.
I really am looking forward to getting to NC. I'm a bit sad b/c I'm finally starting to make connections with people here through Stroller Strides and now I'm going to have to start all over again.
this site pretty much does it all for you you pick what meal you want and it tells you the items you need to buy for it and you can just print out the list. Perfect for lazy people like me lol. it is just a little time consuming entering all the meals
that must be one of the toughest things about moving around so much. making friends and having to leave them. But, it means you get to have friends all over the country
Yeah, that would be my turn off - having to enter in all the meals! Cause I have HUNDREDS!
Funny enough one mom I met last year in Del Rio is currently living in my hometown (she's not from there or anything). I'm going to get to see her when I pass through town next week!

It's a cute video, my 4yo loves it!
Good luck packing and moving, Jackie. I don't know how you do it. I've only moved a handful of times in my life, and I HATE it. I admire you for handling it so well!
Anna, so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he starts to improve soon.
How I'm handling it depends on the hour.
Which is way better than I would be doing!
You ok, Anna?
Well, that looks promising Anna.
Right now I'm trying to find the humor in the fact that I just spent 20 minutes in the bathroom of a motel room having an emotional breakdown while my daughter and hubby sleep. I don't know how to survive this.
Oh Anna! :grouphug: Take it one minute at a time, that's how. How's your father doing?
Burglar vacuumed home, folded laundry and cooked dinner
Big hugs Anna.
I am on my second glass of wine and it's 7:15pm, it happens when you walk out of work before you hurt something. It's crazy right now and sucks. Thankfully I finish early tomorrow because I am going away for the weekend. My cousin turns 18 so my Mum is driving me down with her for his party. My Nanna (the one with alzeiheimers) is also going up in a Red Barron plane and my Grandfather is so excied to see Ronin. I will get a bit of a break because everyone else will jump to do everything Ronin needs.
So in short, I am drinking too much, eating an awesome dinner (turkey steaks that hubby made an awesome marinade for), packing and stressed out. Oh and trying to get Ronin to eat his freaking dinner.
