Wendy, I love to show you how to fill a bobbin. Another one of those times when it would be really nice to live closer to some of you ladies. I only got to see Jackie once when she lived closer, but I miss being able to think she's just 2 hours away.

When are we planning on doing our Disney trip? I probably should start a disney fund. . .

So, I think if we don't get an offer our of the showing today, I'll call our realtor and tell her to drop cut the price on the house. I'll also tell her that is our rock bottom and we are selling it 'as is'. The carpet needs replacing so bad. It was here when the previous owners moved in here and they lived here for 11 years, plus our five and however many years before the previous owners, you are looking at carpet that is more than 20 years old. Ewww. But for taking that much off, it will really be priced to sell.

I love news stories that end with kidnap victims being found safe and sound!! I don't lose any sleep over the perpetrators shooting themselves. That guy the shot the police officer in DH's hometown a couple of weeks ago died in the hospital. He'd shot himself in the face right before the police got to him. I think it saves lots of taxpayer money on trial and lawyer costs and lets people put it behind them sooner. Though I know not everyone sees it that way.

part of me does. the other part of me is so angry that they are such cowards that they think they can cause all this mayhem and then just "disappear"

good luck on your showing today!!

i know some of you ladies are reading the 'fifty shades' trilogy. i am on the second book, i read the first one in two days holy crap i couldn't put it down! I know it has gotten mixed reviews, and to an extent i agree with some of the criticism but i still can't stop reading

Let's see, last night, we were out buying Evan's "from Santa" Christmas gift. We got him a kitchen (thanks for the idea from all you ladies who have been chatting about it in previous months). I'm excited to give it to him. My dad is definitely old school, "you got him a kitchen, a kitchen??!! He is a boy!!" He was half serious half playing. I think he will love it.

Anna, I agree, if $5000 off gets it sold, do it. Hope your showing goes well today.

I finally finished the 50 shades trilogy. I'll have to admit, the first book was not my favorite. But the other two were great. I do understand now why Jackie said the emails get on her nerves. I hadn't got that far into the book when she said that, but they do get a little old. And, they are very spicy!!

Jackie, I hope Aiden back to normal tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty cabin-feverish myself, but there's a house showing set up for tomorrow morning, so I'll have to find some place to go. Perhaps I'll go wonder through Target. . .

DH called me earlier and asked what I thought about knocking $5000 off the house just to get it sold and be done with it. I'm thinking about it.
The nice part about Aiden being sick is he's out FAST at night. Haven't had to turn out the light yet! lol
If I was still in TX I guarantee I would have made that drive a few times this spring and summer.
Target blog that's up your alley: All Things Target

He's at a new school (new campus of the same school) this year so we didn't really know the neighborhood, and ended up finding an AWESOME new restaurant. Totally awesome food--delicious burgers & local beer on tap, but with lots of healthy organic options, etc., and totally family oriented but funky. It was all random old tables and chairs, with a big chalkboard, and entire shelf of kids' books, a little tv playing (nearly silent) cartoons, and free Goldfish for hungry waiting kiddos. Oh, and you order at the counter but they bring you your food, which we realized is perfect for a quick escape if necessary! There was also a big shelf of adult books and a foozeball table, and they have live music from 6-8. So--something for everybody! It's not convenient to our house but quite close to DH's new work so I'm hoping we find excuses to go there more often!
You had me at goldfish for the kids.

One of many reasons why DH and I are arguing about buying a house while he's active duty. He wants to. I don't. Unless it's where we plan to retire (which I don't see happening unless he gets a desk job tour in the future in some great place lol). After living in Vegas and watching the housing market there crash, not interested!!! I remember our rental house was 1,000 sq ft and supposedly worth 300,000 when we moved in. When we left, newer bigger houses were selling for 120,000.

If our house was located over there it would sell for around $40000 more than what we are currently asking for it, which means that we'll pay that much more for house the same or crappier than ours. Our main selling issue is that it's only 2 bedroom, but it could so easily be turned into a 4 bedroom and I'm disappointed that other people can't see the potential.
Anna, when I saw your house listing all I could think was "Wow that's cheap for that amount of sq footage!!!" I bet some people are overlooking it because it's 2 bedroom, but when you look at the sq footage you realize that there's a lot more to it. House definitely has potential, just a matter of having a buyer who sees that.

Read Black Dagger Brotherhood series. They have sex and plot.

Aiden still isn't well, but he's already had more to eat this morning than what he's been eating between breakfast and lunch already today, so I'd say he's doing better. Sadly I woke up with my throat hurting and a cough. Fun times!

the e-mails in the first book? they didn't bother me. Anastasia's character bothers me. Like everything about her i find annoying :P and a couple times i rolled my eyes or laughed out loud at some of the cheesy wording.

DH and i have been watching the news about the shooting in new york it seems we can't go a week anymore without some crazy out there killing people

Woo hoo! Even sick this week Aiden has played with it at some point everyday. He watches me cook and tries to duplicate what I'm doing. Seeing how much use it's gotten, DH loves it now. Even he thinks it's cute when Aiden brings us a pot of wood cookies to eat.

See I didn't find his character all that well developed and I found him stalkerish. My friend thinks Christian is twisted. I told her that Black Dagger Brotherhood guys have more issues than him and she agreed, which is why she also LOVES BDB. I've read a lot of series and this is one that I've always kept up to date with despite Aiden and moving.

How many books are in that series, Jackie? Sorry you are feeling bad this morning.
