((hugs)) Maybe it was too much change at once for her? I changed DS's diaper before nursing him this morning and he had a mini melt down for a couple of minutes due to that change of routine. If we had to be out the door by 7:30 I'd totally fail. My OB practice keeps offering me early morning appts and I keep telling them that thanks to a toddler and an hour drive 10 am is the earliest I can successfully manage!

Yep. He finally wandered out. Not that he's very helpful for the first 30 minutes he's awake. I need to get going. If I'm not on my bike by 8 it gets freaking hot out there!

Uggghhhh. My husband TEXTED me that he hurt himself. His neck actually. No idea what's wrong or what caused it since he hadn't even taken off for his flight yet today when the problem started. Sad And of course now he won't answer his phone!!!

Men!! Do they not know that is not an acceptable form of communication when they are telling their wife that they are hurt?? And not a great area to be hurt in? I hope he's ok Jackie. Maybe he'll answer or call you soon.

Got a 2nd text (why won't the man just call me back?!?!) saying that he's going to the local hospital and can I pick him up there in an hour or so. WTF MAN!!! He has me on pins and needles! Sad

Guessing our weekend plans might have to be put on hold. Which is fine. We can do it next weekend and drag my sister with us.

I'm guess since he's texting it can't be that bad? Just bad enough to keep him from flying? Consider what he flies it doesn't take much to be kept grounded.

Kristi, just remember when the numbers don't change much that your lighter fat is turning into heavier muscle. I would go by measurements and how you feel. Even though it is nice to see a smaller number on the scales.

That is a great idea about the music alarm. We still use a humidifier for a little noise at night, even though it is so stinking humid here, he doesn't need it. Maybe we should try something like that to go all night.

Monkey.....I bet that was cute to hear.

I hope you ladies going camping this weekend have a wonderful time. We are taking DS to the zoo in Memphis. I'm pretty excited.

The zoo sounds fun! Is the zoo there pretty big?

I think the Memphis Zoo is pretty awesome! (That's where I'm from. lol) I've been to the San Deigo zoo and really feel that parts of the Memphis zoo are nicer (Teton Trek/Northwest Passage area). Some is still older, but as soon as they finish one project they immediately work on another for improving. They are currently working on a huge trail area and giving the hippos, alligators, and flamingos new updated homes. There's a small aquarium, a cool bird house, petting zoo, small kids rides area, etc. I really like their "Cat Country" and monkey huts areas too. We did the abridged walk through with Aiden a few weeks ago when visiting and still spent 3 hours there. When not with a toddler I could easily spend a good 5 hours there, more if I want to do the giraffe feeding, penguin talks, sea lion show, etc!!!

Jackie, it does sound like it's not too bad if he's thinking you can pick him up in an hour. Hopefully the hospital won't take much longer than that. If you are at a hospital here and you are not bleeding out completely, you will definitely be there longer than an hour. You are right though, they get grounded for what we might consider "small things."

I'm pretty pumped about the zoo. It sounds like it is pretty big with alot to do. Jackie is the expert on that one, though. I may have to try that sound machine. The price definitely looks nice.

Jackie, I hope it's nothing bad. Can't really be too bad if he's texting you and texting you himself no less. If it were really bad someone else would be calling. A few years ago DH broke two of his fingers when something fell on his had at work. He never called or anything I didn't find out until I saw him later on with his hand all bandaged up. He's a guitar player too and was in a band at the time. I don't know why it doesn't occur to them to let us know, in some detail, when stuff happens.

Stupid men. I bet its nothing and they're making him go to the hospital out of caution and protocol.

OK, ignore me now. I've got to get some lab work done!

Men are such a pain sometime! I hope it's nothing major and like Erin said, it's just what they have to do.

The Memphis Zoo sounds awesome. I didn't realize that is where you went not too long ago Jackie.

Well, zero idea what's going on but he can't turn his head and he keeps getting severe muscle spasms. If it was me I'm sure I'd totally be crying. They made him get x-rays at the hospital just in case, but they came up all clear. I met him there 2 hours ago. I didn't have to wait too long for them to give him the results at least. Then we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch (drive through) on his request. He's on two strong pain killers and a muscle relaxer and is still in pain. Sad No camping this weekend. He's "confined to quarters" till 1pm tomorrow at which time he has a follow up sick call appt. No flying till next Tuesday at the earliest, but he's not too hopeful since no body knows why his neck is like this at all. He didn't even fly today! No idea what caused this, but he just random started hurting and not being able to move his neck. *sigh*

Oh ouch. That is odd. Maybe he slept all weird or something? Hope it clears up on it's own & isn't caused by something else. Bummer no camping.

Sounds like wryneck Jackie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torticollis. I had it twice. Once I had NO CLUE what brought it one, was lying down reading and upable to sit up without a great deal of help. Another time, just turning around in the shower brought it on, and I only felt a small click in my neck. It lasted about 1-2 weeks for me, but wasnt severe the whole time. Look at the "acquired torticollis" part of that link. I know wikipedia isnt the best, but the info seems ok.

Oh and not the freak you out by the other causes talking about tumors and such. I mean the just randomly happening and going away. That is what happened to me. I rushed to emerg all freaked but it was just wry neck. And it DOES kill!

Lunch time!

If nothing precipitated the pain, it sounds like a pretty standard muscle spasm. I've had that happen twice. Once in my neck and once in my back. They come out of nowhere and they HURT!!! I was given strong pain killers and muscle relaxants as well. Went away after a few days. Prepare for him to be more or less useless and really loopy. He might say funny stuff. Apparently, I was very amusing in one of my classes. The next week I was totally lost. I had no idea what they were talking about. Radish lab? What radish lab? Everyone laughed at me. I was there but I was so high on pain meds I didn't even remember doing the lab!

Did a bunch of lab work for the first time in ages. My pipetting muscles are atrophied.

Erin I hear you in hubbys who are useless when they first wake up. I have to go to training today which is an hour and a half away so have to leave work by seven thirty at the latest so hubby has to get Ron in ready and on the day care bus, and he is on the early run which will pick up between seven thirty and eight. So far I have had to oack his breakfast and i am fairly certain Ronin will be getting on the bus in his pjs because hubby won't wake up in time. Anyway best run because i have to finish packing his bag and get myself ready and it's freezing this morning.

Thanks for the inputs! Hopefully this goes away and he has no more issues at all after a few days! Would be nice since being out of flying right now is really hurting him. There's technically no flying next week (which is why he really needed to fly today and tomorrow - oh well!), but they won't even let him do a simulator till he's better. So far he's complaining that the meds are doing nothing for him. My best friend is a pharmacists and she said he absolutely can't take anything else between these two and it's not a good sign that he's still in pain since these are both very strong pain meds and the combination should knock him out asleep. *sigh*

Hope everything works out Wendy!!!

Good luck Wendy!!

Erin, you mean you don't keep your pipetting muscles in a routine when off duty?? It's been so long since I've done any lab work at my job, my hand would probably fall off if I had a busy day of it.

Jackie, that stinks that he's on that strong of a med and it's not helping. I would probably be out for 2 days with half of whatever he's taking.

Oh no!! At least daycare will be prepared for the pjs. At ours, we have to keep a change of clothes there in case of accidents. Do you keep a change there for him? Maybe they could change him for you.

ROFL I remember my little sister's daycare always knew when my father was in charge of getting her ready and there. My mom would even lay out clothes and somehow my dad would miss them and put on mismatched clothes of even a clean set of PJs on her. I guarantee Ronin isn't the first and won't be the last. Wink

You should see the outfits Teagan has shown up to school in on Daddy Drop off days. The teachers are often like "Awww, she dressed herself." No, no she didn't.

My husband chooses rompers as much as possible for Aiden. Nothing to match. Wink Though the last time DH dressed Aiden he put him in sandals with socks. I teased him so much about that because DH doesn't even wear socks with his sandals!!!

I'm 5'8" so not exactly short!!! lol. Maybe it's just my body. I did show early with Aiden but not nearly this big at this point!

Tonight at the squadron wife meeting there was another pregnant wife there due in August. One of the other wives asked if I was due in August too!!! Lol

Jackie, it's probably because of how your uterus is positioned or something. I do remember you showed early with Aiden, too. I was WAY bigger the second time than I ever was with Lyla.

Janice, that is so disturbing. What do you mean they told her it was disturbing to watch! WTF!? Why, FCOL, would they be watching?!

I was doing so good keeping up with dishes and keeping my kitchen clean, but right now there are dishes in the sink from last night's dinner. Yuck. And sadly the longer I wait the less I want to do it.

Woohoo for an awesome belly! I was going to be all mean and tease you that you were probably having one of each when we all started speculating about gender before your anatomy scan coming up, but I guess I won't! Wink I'll just be realistic and agree with Anna, it is probably just the way your uterus is positioned. Or it's twins. Wink

My DH thinks acceptable outfit = the first shirt he touches and the first pair of pants. He has at least now started picking out jeans for the pants, and he confessed last week that it is because it is hard to pick out a top that doesn't match with jeans. ROFL

I send around five changes of clothes each day, daycare requests at least two sets, more if toilet training, so I stuff his bag full of shorts and shirts. Daycare said Ronin was dressed when they picked him up and it matched because I laid a few mix and match choices out.

I am going to ty a walking group tomorrow, it's run by a local agency for mental health group but they say everyone is welcome so i thought I would check it out, and the bonus is they advertised that the people who go on Saturdays get a free coffee voucher

Aww come on. I love it when other people air their dirty laundry on FB, it's so entertaining! I was recently a witness to a fight between mother and son, it was hilarious! What I really can't stand to see is the minute by minute play by play of someone's day or people like my cousin where every day is just the worst day ever.

I absolutely LOVE the stage that Kole is in now. He's becoming more and more aware of his surroundings and beginning to interact. I love his expressions and that he is beginning to coo and babble. I love his big grins and I heard him laugh for the first time this morning (he was asleep, but that counts right?). I just cannot stop kissing his fat little face!! It's ridiculous.
