Oh no, Janice. That does not sound like a fun day at all.
We go to a separate office, but both the u/s office and the ob/gyn office are in the same building.

I just hope the other ultrasound place has late appointments or weekends, I try to keep all my special leave for appointments until the end when I have to go to the hospital because the waits can get long, and I need three hours for the glucose test as well
oh ya, they wanted me to drink some high number. I actually did, and had to pee like 5 minutes later. By the time we got there i had to pee again so it wasn't a big deal.
Janice, don't feel bad for ignoring him. They have actually done studies on tantrums, and they end MUCH faster when the parent entirely stops reacting in any way, even calmly. Let him see that you're around and ready to help him when he calms down, but he's going to have to get himself out of it. Unfortunately. :(
he did eventually come over to me and nicely take me to the kitchen and actually ate some applesauce :)
Why did I want a dog? The universe must think it is hilarious to put the world's worst dogs in my path.
You can have a dog, but he'll snap at your kids and have a horrible nasty bowel disease and not even want to be around you.
You can have a dog. She'll be wonderful with your kids. She'll be sweet and loving. And she'll have accidents all over the house, even when you're watching her very closely, it won't matter. And if you ever want to leave, she'll go insane in her crate, eventually escape and chew the trim off from around your door. Ha. Enjoy.
Do I like dogs? I don't think I do any more.
Oh no Kristi, how incredibly frustrating :( Is there any chance that she has a UTI or something medical contributing to the accidents, or is it strictly a behavior/training issue?
Kristi, I'm sorry. It's likely nothing and adjustment period and some training won't fix, but that doesn't make it less frustrating. I remember vividly how much I wanted to murder our corgi while we were house training her. And when we finally achieved that we still had to go through a horrific teething issue where would literally be chewing pieces off the house. DH had to put metal trim all around the bottom of our house and his workshop to keep her from eating the siding off. She's much better now.
So, I'm filling out an online form to get utilities turned on at the house we are moving to and this is at the bottom of the form: Really? And why is personal information in quotes?
Do you want your "Personal Information" kept confidential?
Really? And why is personal information in quotes?
The accidents, I get. She was at a shelter for almost a month, so I expected accidents even if she had been housetrained at some point in her past (which I kind of doubt). She's only been here a week, so it's going to take time. However, my husband does NOT take accidents very well. He doesn't do anything to the dog or anything like that, but he rants and raves every time.
But the eating of the house....I just don't know if I can put up with that. Our house is only 3 years old, and we intend it to be our forever home. So I don't appreciate it being destroyed. We're going to ultra-reinforce the crate, but she still throws it all over the laundry room. She already dented the deep freeze.
