Poor kiddo...and poor mama! Hope he doesn't share the joy.
poor Aiden :(
Ok people hit me with some music your kids like. Now I have better internet and a new computer that works consistently I want to get more music to play around the house for Ronin. Stuff that doesn't make me want to hurt myself either is a bonus. Not a fan of the Wiggles here either. I just got him 101 Jukebox hits because he likes old rock and roll and am in the process of getting what appears to be every Disney soundtrack ever. He also likes some popular stuff like gangam style, bom bom, and Bruno mars (the one he likes is so inappropriate for his age but he likes to sing the yeah yeah uh part)
I just made some radio stations on Pandora using kids music that doesn't make me want to stab myself--it's great! They have a Kids Rock Radio station that's a good place to start, and then just write down the names of the ones you like and make your own station.
We also listen to a lot of 80s music and oldies on Pandora :)
Some kids musicians we like: Laurie Berkner, Justin Roberts, Kimya Dawson (although she also has some very inappropriate music that sounds similar so be careful :))
Jackie, sorry to hear about Aiden, I hope he feels better quick.
No advice on the kids music, we have a few random kids CDs that we got as gifts that I play for Isabelle once in a while, but normally she just listens to whatever I feel like listening to. I don't think she pays that much attention to anything playing anyway.
I am so beat, I had an 11+ hour day at work, much of it on my feet. Tomorrow at least will just be normal hours, but next week will be more of the same, can't wait for x-mas break.
I really don't put on kids music for Teagan. She likes classic rock. That might reflect her mother's taste. ;)
45 minute whine-tantrum over wanting to watch "BLUE THOMAS". DH has decided she's not watching any more TV ever. I laughed at him and asked him what I'm supposed to do when she wakes up at 5:30 on his day to sleep in. "Get on your computer and just let her play." Laughed in his face, I did. Then I demonstrated what Teagan does to me in morning if I try to "just let her play." I think the nipple pinching convinced him.
I don't ever put on kids music. The video monitor has a feature to play lullabies in her room. I turn on the lullabies when I need to wake her up. Works every time.
We don't have Pandora, never actually heard of it.
