My family? No, I'm making all this for me. Though I may let Rowan have a cookie.

Anna, my DH never proposed either. One day we were lying on our living room floor (it was July in Houston, so super hot and miserable) and the subject of marriage came up and we decided we should probably try it. And then we went to a costume jewelry store and spent $25 on the most ridiculous fake diamond we could find. It was huge and awesome and people were always commenting on how beautiful it was and how expensive it must have been.

I am not making anything for Thanksgiving as we are going to my parents but my mom and sisters will make pumpkin pie and pecan pie for sure and probably county fair pie which is basically a pecan pie but with chocolate and butterscotch chips-kind of like candy bar meets pie. My Aunt is making apple pie and she will probably make something else as well and my grandma is bringing cheesecake. My family always goes crazy with desserts for the holidays. For christmas we usually end up with around 20 kinds of cookies between all of us, lol!

Jackie, I already have our tree and some of our decorations up so I don't think it is too soon to start! Since we are going out of town for this weekend, I wanted to get them up before that, otherwise by the time I get everything up, it will be time to take it down again and its too much work not to have it up for a while and enjoy it. DH is such a humbug, he was like "all this work just to put it away again" Not like he is even helping me at all so don't know why he wants to complain.

Justine, glad to hear you know what you are comfortable with for your pregnancy. Yay that you have made it this long, hopefully your little one keeps baking to term!

Am I the only person on Earth anymore who doesn't want to see anything Christmas until December?

My husband was just windmilling his arms around the living room like a mad man. He's testing wood dyes and I guess that requires crazy man flailing.

I get off easy for thanksgiving. I'm making a cornbread casserole for my family's thanksgiving, and sweet potatoes for DH's.

    I agree Erin!!!!

we don't do anything until at least dec 1. half of DH's family has their tree and decorations up already. I just suggested to DH that he should put the outdoor lights up before he freezes his *** off mid december. I even said we don't have to turn them on until December but he doesn't want to do it.

The stores here are all busting out Christmas music too. Well, except for shoppers, they got complaints
