Name & Age: Shelly, 28

What kind of pagan are you?: The most generic kind. Eclectic wiccan solitary.

Who are your deities (if any)?: Ever since my miscarriage, I am really leaning on the mother goddesses, like Brigid and Demeter.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: Generally Celtic and Greek, because they are the ones I know best. But I am also interested in Egyptian and Norse.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: I don't.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? I haven't yet.

Do you have a permanent altar? It's a work in progress.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Only to DH, but he came out first. Lol

Tell me about your family: Married to Tim, 29-for almost six years. Lost our first baby this past May. Currently trying for a second.

Anything else you want to share?: I'm so happy to be your new mod! Biggrin

This is me and DH last October at a friend's wedding.

What kind of pagan are you?: Not really a true pagan - more of a believer of my own creed

Who are your deities (if any)?: I think of God as less human and more as a web or energy, but I can totally see how that energy or web can be personified in pagan gods

What pantheon do you use (if any)?:

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: DH and I always talk about celebrating them and then we forget. I mean, we celebrate Christian holidays and we aren't Christian, so we might as well celebrate pagan holidays and give them equal airtime, right?

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? Nope

Do you have a permanent altar? Nope - I'm not into the doo-dads and knick-knacks of religion.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Lol

Tell me about your family: I have been married to Greg (part agnostic, part pagan, and part native american spiritualist) for 2.5 years. We have 1 son, Uther, 18 months. I also have a step-daughter, Leah, who is 6. We are TTC #2 (for me)/#3 (for him).

What kind of pagan are you?:
The weird kind. LOL. I call myself eclectic - I'm a bit of an agnostic, but I

Who are your deities (if any)?:
Lilith. She's the only one I'm consistent about right now. I consider them to be more symbolic, though, and a focus point for my own personal goals, meditations, thoughts, energy, whatever.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?:

Anything and everything that strikes me - I am a fan of the greeks, though.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?:
Not well enough. Sad I really want to start doing some things with Quinn this year. He's turning 2 and will maybe have a lot of fun! I'm still stuck on the 'traditional' celebrations - that's hard to get away from when it's what everyone does!

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis?

No. My spirituality is more in my mind. I'm focused on 'green' and 'natural' witchcraft - earth based stuff that isn't about ritual and ceremony so much but about being in tune with the earth and the Earth, nature and its cycles, etc.

Do you have a permanent altar?

Actually, yes! I don't use it much, but it's there to remind me. It's pretty simple. I used a long white decorative shelf from Target. I have my god & goddess candles, a bowl of saltwater, incense, and a cluster of candles I burn for people (instead of 'praying for' them). I need to de-clutter because a couple mundane things which do not belong there have found their way to that convenient flat space.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?:

More or less

Tell me about your family:
me, DH Luke and our almost-2-year-old Quinn. Luke's an agnostic bordering on atheist. We attended a UU church for awhile but Q had a hard time with the nursery and with sitting through service. We may try again after summer (they don't do services regularly during summer). I own "Circle Round" which is awesome for giving ideas of how to celebrate with kids (or even as an adult!). I need to implement!

Anything else you want to share?:

I'm so excited we have a fabulous new mod and I hope this board gets hopping. I really want to get back in tune with my spirituality. Things have been way off with me lately.

Who are your deities (if any)?: not currently working with particular deities, mostly I work with the spirits in nature

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: if I used one, it would probably be Greek or British, but I don't

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: right now in very kid-oriented ways

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? no, but it's hard to do with 2 young children, so I'm not beating myself up about it

Do you have a permanent altar? yes, but it is dismantled until the room it will be set up in gets new flooring

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: yes

Tell me about your family: Dh who will be 37 in 2 months, 2 sons: 2 1/2 years and 4 months. We have a dog and a cat.

Tell me about your family: I'm engaged to Bob, 29, and he is pagan as well...he absolutely despises organized religion..we are getting married in Sept. of '07 and are TTC our first after a m/c in Feb.

Anything else you want to share?: I've lurked around here occasionally and after seeing Shelly as one of the mods I got all excited...I've also been out of touch with my spirituality lately and need to re-charge. DF and I have had to move around alot lately (for his work) so I just haven't felt very in touch with much of anything lately (a strong home base is so important to me)so I hope that joining this board will help Biggrin

Do you have a permanent altar? Nope, not yet

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Only to a few people, not my family yet

Tell me about your family: An athesist(sp) dad who is extremely sweet and loving and the best dad i could ask for. A non-practicing Mormon mother who was a little rough around the edges with me, but we love each other now that we don't live together. We're too much alike. My sister is the highest person on my list of loves. Three of my grandparents have passed away and I miss them like crazy. Lots of aunts and uncles and sweet little cousins. I do have one set of uber-conservative Christian aunt and uncle, they thought i was a heathen long ago, I just proved them right

Anything else you want to share?: I'm fairly new, I've really only been studying for a few months (since May) and just did a kind of initation ritual on the new moon. I know most people say to study for a year or so, but I can't afford the amount of books that I can go through studying in a year. Lol I hope to increase my library of pagan and naturalist books though.

What kind of pagan are you?: New...:) So I don't have a title for my beliefs. I am leaning towards solitary Wicca although I still have a lot of Christian beliefs sticking around from childhood as well.

Who are your deities (if any)?: None really. I'm TTC now, so I have baby brain. I have thus been focusing on Brigid as she represents fertility. I wear a Brigid medallion 24/7

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: Unknown at this point

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: I'm starting to incorporate this into my daily life. As of now, I tend to do research on the sabbat when it comes around so I can learn what it is that I want to celebrate.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? No

Do you have a permanent altar? No

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Those close to me know my inclinations. Once I fully commit myself to Wicca, I will have no shame in telling anyone. I don't want to be uneducated and claiming to be Wicca, however.

Tell me about your family: I have a husband to whom I've been married for almost 6 months. We have a beautiful 19 month old son and we are trying for our second. I have two awesome parents who have always taught me tolerance and open-mindedness.

:Lurk:
Name & Age: Jen, 21 - Riftara is my public magic name and my allias

What kind of pagan are you?: Tameran, though i want to be fully Kemetic eventually

Who are your deities (if any)?: I'l use greek names so you have some clue as to who I'm talking about, but I use the Egyptian ones - Isis, Nephythis, Osiris, Horus (the younger), Set, Bast, Nut, Geb, Shu, Tefnut, Ra, Hathor

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: the Egyptian, but mainly those above. I will call on others if the need arises.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: With a coven I sorta belong to when possible, with my sis when its not.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? sadly no, I haven't the space or ability right now.

Do you have a permanent altar? it's packed up right now - we are living in two rooms at my parents house, no room for an alter.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: yep 1000%

Tell me about your family: Me, DH Edd 22, who is not anything religiously or spiritually, and soon to be Ember (due Dec 19, but she wll be here soon). We are living with my mom and dad and little sis - 17 who is also pagan. (Mom and Dad blame that n me, though they are mostly open minded)

Anything else you want to share?: I mostly lurk here, I would like to be more active though. I've been practicing for about 10 years, and I've been on this path for at least 5 of those years. I have a coven, but I'm not technically a member since they meet about an hour away, but I would like to be. Right now my life is kinda upsidedown and I would like to get my home life settled before anything else. I do keep note of the turning of the moon and such, but I rarely find time to do more than spend a few moments acknowledging it. All my stuff, including my BOS is packed, and I find it hard sometimes to focus without something to focus on.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: Greek, Egyptian, Celtic

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: I don't often enough. :/

Do you have a permanent altar? Yes

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: No

Tell me about your family: DH Mike, DS Jakob - 4 in April, Baby #2 due in July 07.

Anything else you want to share?: I lurk quite a bit, as cat rescue & my family keep me pretty busy. After being absent, I find it's hard to keep up with July '07/May '03 much less anything else! I do enjoy learning though, and I thought I would say hello to everyone.

Do you have a permanent altar? Not at the moment - I used to, but since moving I just haven't been able to set things back up.

My sister was pregnant (i started trying before she even told me). She had my nephew in dec. My fiance and i have been trying since last dec to have our first child. What kind of pagan are you?: Probably a boring one, lol. Eclectic Solitary..

Who are your deities (if any)?: Generally just an overall Lord and Lady

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: Celtic-ish...still working on it

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: Celebrate privately...sometimes trying to find a way for my daughter to participate

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? Not as much as I feel I should.

Do you have a permanent altar? No, but have a "portable" that I set up often.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: In general

Tell me about your family: Married to Bo, 27. He is basically an atheist, but supports me in whatever I chose to believe and is fine with me introducing our daughter to my beliefs. Daughter, Cadence Melissa, is 3 yrs old. She's our little fairy girl. We lost a son, Drake Michael, halfway through my last pregnancy. We are currently expecting a baby on March 14, 2008! Mom lives out of state...she is a "Christian" and doesn't really understand my beliefs. She just recently decided to believe me that I'm not a devil-worshipper, lol. Brothers are 19 and 17, they know and are respectful.

Anything else you want to share? I've only recently discovered this website, so I am checking out the forums that apply to me to see where I feel comfy.:)

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? No, I've been very bad doing anything on a regular basis. But it's always in my heart.

Do you have a permanent altar? Kinda permanent.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: To the people I trust yeah.

Tell me about your family: I've been married for 5 years. DH doesn't know what he is, though I think he's just a non-practicing Catholic (like his family). My parents are SUPER Catholic, they are very involved in the church, but are totally supportive of me (though I do find palms hidden in my house occassionally.) The rest of my family could care less, they are about as chill as they come.

Anything else you want to share? I've been studying Wicca for years (since college), but I still feel like I know so little. I've had a stressful few years (we've had some family health issues, and my m/c's depressed me a bit, but I'm in a much better place now). I'm trying to get back in the game I guess. I've just been so numb these last few years, I want to get all that passion for life back, so I want to get back in touch with me really.

What kind of pagan are you?: I think just generally the term "eclectic neopagan" works best. I'll take parts of almost anything that works for me, so a definition might be difficult! XD

Who are your deities (if any)?: I feel closest to Cerridwen and Cernunnos, Shiva, Durga, Hermes, Artemis, and especially Ganesha.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: I use all pantheons, but my favourite is probably the Hindu pantheon.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: I usually do a solitary circle of some sort at home, go to ritual with my "coven" (don't know if that's quite the right word of it), and then throw in something else fun, depending on the individual Sabbat.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? I attend ritual every two weeks or so, and usually celebrate Sabbats and Esbats alone, as well. Sometimes I do a kind of "daily meditation/devotional", but how often depends largly on time.

Do you have a permanent altar? Yep! Right at the foot of my bed, facing east. It's a little mini table with a cloth over it.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Entirely.

Tell me about your family: I'm the eldest of two kids, originally from the West Coast but am living in Boston to be away from my mom (we don't get along all that well due to, eh, among other things, serious philosophical differances). My dad is the coolest guy ever and lives in Alaska, which I consider to be home. I'm engaged to a really fantastic guy that supports me in every way (including religiously), and we're expecting our first child.

Anything else you want to share?: Been Pagan since I was 16; my five-year anniversary (silly that I keep track of that, I know) is a couple weeks before Marius is due. YAY!

Anyway, I'm really glad that I found this board! I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Tell me about your family: SO is the same, I met him originally when i was 17, this is the 3rd time we came back together. have 5 children from ex-H, only 3 girls introduced after I left my ex-H, my dad and mom knew/know, I was disowned from dads family after i wanted a ceremony done for my dads funeral, which they didn't do when i married my ex-H. If asked i tell, but only when i feel it will not offend the listener, otherwise i just smile.Hurting others feeling is against my grain.

Anything else you want to share?: My ex-H was a Muslim who outside talked the talk and walked the walk but at home did it only when it was to his benefit. I tried it out but came back to my inner roots inside long before i left him. Consciously aware of this i was 3 years before i left him.

What kind of pagan are you?: I follow the Red Road

Who are your deities (if any)?: Mother Earth, Grandmother Moon, Grandfather Sun, Creator.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: n/a

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: n/a

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? Yes

Do you have a permanent altar? Yes. It's at the entry of our home so everyone can see it as they walk in. A medicine wheel painted on the wall with a vase of leaves from the Sun Dance tree.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Lol Yea, I guess you could say that.

Tell me about your family: I've been with my man for 6+ years and we have two beautiful daughters, Willow and Sage. He's Aztec (Nahua) and Yaqui and has been on the Red Road for over 20 years. I started following these ways a little bit back in late 2002, but after I attended my first Sun Dance in 2007, I have been more committed to this way. We are raising our little girls on the Red Road and include them in our ceremonies as much as possible.

Anything else you want to share?: Umm... can't think of anything!

What kind of pagan are you?: Family Traditional Celtic Pagan

Who are your deities (if any)?: All, but most strongly Danu and The Dagda

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: Celtic

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: Rituals, festivals gatherings, feasts.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? Yes, weekly as well as all sabbats/esbats

Do you have a permanent altar? Working on that for the new house.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Yes

Tell me about your family: My Grandfather was Pagan, but his wife very very Catholic, and so all his children were raised strictly Catholic. My mother refers to herself now as "nostic" or "I believe in a higher power its just none of your business" I have followed the family traditional path since I was 13.

Anything else you want to share?:I have served as a High Priestess for a few groups, trying very hard to squeeze my own beliefs in with a like-minded group. I've practiced with wiccans, gardenarians, Native Americans and Celtic shamans, I hope one day to have a circle of FTCP's that aren't just all related to me Blum 3 My husband is Wiccan but closely follows the Celtic traditions.

Name & Age: Jenni, 25 (OMG when did THAT happen! oh, last week....)

What kind of pagan are you?: yup. eclectic solitary whatchamacallit

Who are your deities (if any)?: do they really need names? i dont discriminate, i believe in ALL the Gods (and Goddesses) Mostly have faith in a Mother Earth entity

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: none really, sometimes i'll look up some to use certain names if i want to feel closer to a certain entity- Danu is one name for the Mother Earth

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: yes i mark their passing, for the most part i do the same way most of the country does with more emphasis on the pagan aspects than others give them (Haloween -Samhain, Ostara-Easter, solstices and equinoxes etc) i try to make special time to be alone with my thoughts and nature to feel more in balance with the earth.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? No. recently i've started a personal prayer book, it seems to help me focus rather than just have a whirlpool of thoughts

Do you have a permanent altar? kind of. i have a rock. i spoke to me, and i carried it back from a beach far away during a visit for an art class, sometimes i have a place for it, sometimes if my focus deviates from it, i find a place to keep it safe until we need to talk again.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: pretty much. i answer Pagan or Other to all religious preference questions and i make no bones about it, but i dont start into it with other people often. i'm not willing to go there and have people attack my legitimate belifs with their quotes from a book. God speaks to me to, but she doesnt speak engilsh. or hebrew. my answers are in the form of actions.

Tell me about your family: DH Bill, DD Ellie is 2 and DS Bill Jr (Bubba) is 7 weeks Smile the times in my life i have put the most energy into a prayer/spell/ whatever you want to call it i was asking to be blessed with my children- proof that somebody was listening

Name & Age: Mia, 27 (had to think about that one for a minute!)

What kind of pagan are you?: Solitary Eclectic Wiccan. I pull from all over the place.

Who are your deities (if any)?: I don't have a matron/patron, but I'm open to them. I work with whomever seems suiting/I'm drawn to. Bast and Kali have always drawn me.

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: I don't have a specific one, but I'm very drawn to egyptian and some celtic.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: Quickly. I honestly haven't had much space (or time) to do proper celebrations, but once we move in a few days that will all change! Biggrin

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? In very basic forms, but I try to practice often. Even if it's just meditation and simple rituals.

Do you have a permanent altar? Work in progress, but one I'm very anxious to complete. Currently, my altar "travels" to wherever I need it to be.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: To DH and a couple others. I don't mind sharing (ILs are very Christian so I don't really try to bring it up to them) but I usually just start of with a generic "I'm spiritual" and go from there. Most people that ask me aren't looking for specifics and if I can explain it to them before labeling it, they are much more receptive.

Tell me about your family: Married to my wonderful (agnostic would be the best way to describe him spiritually) husband since July '10. Our first child, Emma was born in August '10. We are looking forward to TTC #2 soon! We wanted to start in January, but I have some health things to take care of so it may be bumped to starting in the spring. We'll see!

Anything else you want to share?: Lets get active here people! I love talking to other pagans. While I do have my set beliefs, I am big on tolerance of others. I love studying theology on the whole as well as philosophy (was a credit away from a double major in university!). So long as people "play nice" I love sharing differences in opinions/beliefs. We all can learn from one another, right?

First off, I have severe "baby-brain" today, so my answers may be a little... *loses train of thought* =.=

Name & Age: Nope! 30

What kind of pagan are you?: I'm a good Witch Wink Don't really fit into a specific mold, so I never bothered labeling myself.

Who are your deities (if any)?: Everyone!

What pantheon do you use (if any)?: It depends on my mood really. To me, it's just the same deities, different names.

How do you celebrate the sabbats/holidays?: However feels right & usually alone.

Do you practice ritual on a regular basis? Nope.

Do you have a permanent altar? Sort of, not really.

Are you "out of the broom closet"?: Haha, for a while now.

Tell me about your family: We just got married 10/31/11 and BAM I'm pregnant with our first child. (First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage!) We're having a son, due sometime around the end of July. Smile

Anything else you want to share?: No, but if you want to know, just ask. I don't bite. Hard.

Post a pic of yourself if you have one. Err I'll try.
