You are going to have a baby soon! I just realized, by your ticker, that you are almost ready to pop! Wow! Are you ready?
Woohoo, 36 weeks, you're almost there!!!
Getting there. Actually closer to 37 weeks (full term YAY!) now. As of now, I have a tentative induction date of 4/14 so even sooner. I see my midwife on Thursday to set up more definite plans.
Truth is, everything is so crazy now. If this induction date stands, this baby will be born 4 days before Passover starts. That's the most hectic time of year in our world. We'll be spending the full 9 days with my parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters and their families at a hotel Passover program that my BIL is catering. Packing for that is insanely overwhelming. It's all about fancy dress clothes (think Easter outfits x many many days), new shoes, etc. And now I have to pack for a kid that hasn't even been born yet! I'm pretty much all shopped up - just need to go through everything and fill in the gaps. My sister actually gave me a good idea last night of packing for the baby in a 3 drawer sterilite cart so everything is in one place and ready to go. Hotels don't offer much drawer space, so that should help.
Other than all that stuff, I feel almost ready to have this baby. My body is definitely ready for this pregnancy to end. I have a few things I want to take care of first. I need to spend a "girl time" day with Julia. I'm going to take her out of school one day early next week and do lunch, shopping etc with her. She can use some one-on-one time before everything goes crazy. DH recently did this with Shai and it was so good for him. I still want to do some de-cluttering in the house, too. And I MUST go get a pedicure and waxing before all those internal exam appointments :P.
Good luck and try to relax if you can!
Curious, why the induction? Is the hotel thing far away from where you live?
Good luck Esti! I know it is a hectic time for you. Can't wait to see pictures of the new baby.
Fawn, the hotel is only half an hour from here. That's not the reason for the induction.
I requested it because of the severe pelvic pain that I have. It gets worse with each pregnancy and at this point I'm having trouble walking. The only way to get through it is with an "end date" in sight. I've had pretty short labors and big babies, so the doctors are in agreement with me.
Wow, take it easy and don't overdo Passover. I know it is an important holiday but you have a good excuse to take it easy!
I had severe hip pain with Eliza and could barely walk towards the end, so I understand. I found the induction with Paulina to be horrible so I did not do that route with Eliza. But that was my choice. She came hard and fast but naturally. I hope you don't need the induction and things go well!
Ugh, that sounds awful :/ Good luck with the induction and the new little one at the hotel! At least there will be plenty of adults around to hold the baby while you shower, etc.
Fawn, I'm counting on it! I'll have lots of help there. And there's a full day camp program for the bigger kids, too.
