RQOTD: Father's Day

So ladies, what are you all doing for Father's Day?

I am getting Chris a new travel mug with Brandon's picture on it. My dad is getting playing cards with Brandon's picture.

I'm going to have Brandon make Chris a card but I wanted him to make an actual gift for him as well. Anyone have some good ideas?

I don't know exactly what we have planned for Father's Day yet but I figured I would let him sleep in and cook him a great dinner at the very least.

We'll be at the beach on Father's Day so the girls and I are taking hubby shopping tomorrow night. They want to buy him swim shorts and I figure he should try them on. Not sure what we'll get all the Grandpas.....

We're getting my DH either a kindle or nook. Anyone have a preference for one they own?

We never buy much in the way of presents for mother's or father's day. For mother's day, they took me to the nursery to choose plants for my pots. So, I might just do the same for dh. Or maybe I will pull the weeds I keep promising him I will pull. LOL! The girls will make him homemade cards.

Kathleen-I have a kindle and I love it. It reads just like a real book and because of the technology you never have a glare. The battery also lasts a really long time since it doesn't have all the bells and whistles eating up the battery life.

I have no idea, I guess I should start thinking about that. If I do the same thing that DH did for me on mother's day, then I will make him cook breakfast and give him a gift card with nothing else to go with it. Yes, I'm still bitter. Dirol

We got Ned a Nook, he's already is using it Smile I have one and really like it. I think e-readers all pretty similar, but I do really like the Nook's touchscreen, vs a keypad. I could foresee the keys being hard to clean as it got used more and more, but I'm just assuming here.......

Not sure what we're doing for Father's Day, but it will probably involve grilling some type of meat, if I know my husband at all, lol. No big plans though, probably just hanging out at home and relaxin'

In case anyone is doing photo gifts, I just bought our stuff on Snapfish and they are having a special offer: free overnight shipping on orders over $30 until June 13. I was going to have to pay $17 in shipping on Kodak so that was a nice surprise.

I have no clue what we are going to do for Fathers Day!! I'm awful at this kinda stuff!! I know Brooke will want to make a card for sure; but as for the gift - I'm completely drawing a blank... This is DF's 'first' Fathers Day (as he and I have an 8month old together now, Brooke is from a previous relationship) sooooo I would really like to make it special; just don't know how just yet...

Hahaha! Same goes for me, but minus the breakfast. He will get a homemade card and maybe some "daddy" time, because that is what I got. But Kaeden's party is going to be the 19th, so I have an excuse!
