QOTW 5.29

It looks like the board may have slowed again. BOO! So lets see if we can get some people to poke their heads back in. I figured we can do a Question of the Week. Being today is Tuesday I will start another next Monday, the holiday threw me off. So..

What are your favorite hobbys?

I like the idea of QOTW. Thanks for starting it!

My favorite hobbies are probably reading and working outside in my flower gardens.

I've also started getting into photography. I'm not sure if running is a hobby, but it currently seems to be taking up a lot of my time (in a good way).

I'm not exactly sure I have a hobby per se... I like to read occasionally (getting back into it after being burned out as an English major in college, hah). And I enjoy doing artsy, crafty things, but only on my terms. This week I've been working on making my own screen prints for tee shirts for our zombie themed 5K this coming weekend. The first run didn't work as planned, so I've got a new one drying as we speak--fingers are crossed that it works out better this go round! I used to do a lot more painting and drawing, but find that with my little lady about I'm either too busy, or have extra hands that want to help Smile

Good Luck Dani on the 5k!!!

I would love to have more time for full blown hobbies. I used to scrap book- but thats alot of time. I got my fancy camera and took 1 private lesson, and really want to do that but I find it hard to practice it consistently with working full time. I love to shop. I love to go shooting, but with the little man thats almost impossible. Otherwise its work work work then spend all my time with tommy and dh. DH does truck pulls which I always went to with him, but being that most are a 4 hour drive to get to, its not doable with tommy.

Well, my hobbies were way more "full force" before I had babes. I do pilates and write pretty regularly. I've been playing around more and more with my camera. I sew and scrapbook. I'm def a DIY person, too. My newest "project" is rennovating one of our spare rooms and getting it put together as our "school room" for when I start homeschool preschool in the fall. I'm pretty excited about that!

SHOOTING?! As in with a gun?! Wow...that's pretty cool. Do you watch Sons of Anarchy? We just started watching it, a couple of episodes into season 2....and the ladies were out doing a target practice in the episode we most recently watched....somehow envisioning you with a gun makes me think of that show Smile And now I'm giggling.

I love Zumba and am reading again (I used to be a huge bookworm before I started college). I also love photography, baking, and sweets decorating, although I generally do those things in spurts. I also sew stuff when the inspiration strikes me. I'm all over the place!

I had a friend who got me into archery back in the 10th grade. I had lots of fun doing it, but I haven't picked up a bow and arrow in a little over a decade, so I imagine I'd be pretty bad at it now. That's the only thing I've done that comes anywhere near shooting (unless shooting with a camera counts Lol )

Julie! You crack me up. Yes with a real gun. I have a .22 and am looking at a 9mm soon. I am fairly good with target shooting. I have to watch how bad the gun kicks as I have some nerve damage in my neck/shoulder. So I am kinda limited on what I shoot. DH has several rifles/shot guns and a pistol. its funny when DH deployed, I always had the loaded pistol - round in chamber- under my side of the bed. clearly with Tommy that wont happen and now all the guns are in the gun cabinet we recently purchased. Its fun and Nat is right, its a dont mess with me kinda feeling. So yes I drive a big truck, like guns and dont own anything pink! hehe!

this is why we get along so well Nat! we have 4 trucks at our house... all 4 diesels. We are heavy into cars and trucks as well. DH is coming home now from a truck event. I just dont think an 8 hour truck ride to get there is ideal for tommy. so he is on his own these days on going by himself.

Ugh, we're literally addicted right now. We're on season 2...I have no idea when it's on IRL, but we're watching an episode a night right now...2 if possible. I totally see you as a Tara Smile

Well now I have to watch it!!! I will see if its on Hulu or something. And yes I promise no more loaded not locked guns in the house. I am super paranoid so that would never be something that would happen.

I like to read and surf the net. I wish I were more creative. I like couponing and finding the best deals and going shopping (not for clothes/mall shopping - grocery shopping, errands, etc.). I'm a dork.
