I usually start planning/obsessing right after we get passed Alice's birthday in early July! But I've been rather restrained so far. I've just started making a list of ideas so far, rather than buying buying buying already! I think though for Alice we are going to get her things for her babies like a little bed and maybe some clothes for her dolls (though not sure about that yet as she pretty much has them all naked at the moment!) As for my son, he really wants a marble run. He starts school in September, so I'm thinking that his likes/dislikes will soon be influenced by friends and school. So we'll see.
We are also just starting on extending our house. We are tearing down the rotting do it yourself dinning room that was here when we bought the place. And making it into a dinning room we can actually use! I think I'm being optimistic in hoping it will all be done by Christmas!

I havent started my list yet. I tend to start the list right after Sept 1. Last year I was done well before Xmas, and was a stress free shopping experience. I think for DS I might get a tricycle or maybe a art easel. So far, thats all I have planned for anyone. I myself want an ipad, but its not a need item. I also never do black friday. I am not a crazy need to get the best deal kinda person.

I do like to buy in sale and get bargains. Which does help with starting so early! But I'm an Internet shopper! And they don't have black Friday over here in the UK. I'm usually well done before Christmas. But I also have no restraint and keep on buying and buying!

I haven't given much thought to what Izzy will get as her big Christmas gift, yet. But she does have a few gifts purchased already--I picked up all the SkippyJon Jones books and a backpack at $5 a piece from Kohl's Cares for charity, and my parents picked up a chalkboard/whiteboard easel at Ikea.

Otherwise I will try to keep my eyes open for good deals between now and Christmas, but I try to avoid all the black Friday mess!

It gets really busy in our family from June onwards birthday wise, so I start xmas shopping at the same time as Im shopping for all the bday presents...I need to get ahead, its just so expensive!!!!....
So I have the kids pretty much planned if not bought...As for SO and I, we dont buy presents for each other...We generally go away for the night (childless) on bdays and xmas plan a family holiday/outing depending on what we can afford...
I buy things when they are on special as much as possible...Internet shopping is AWESOME!!!!...
