What's the kiddies getting in their Easter baskets?!

I'm going to Toys R us on lunch today to pick up some stuff.

So far I got finger paints, markers, more crayons and a painting statue pooh bear thingy lol Emma is really into crafts/drawing/coloring. I got her a dress up set and some playdoh, the dvd hop. I don't usually buy as much as I do for xmas for Easter but I need to pick up a few more things. I want to get her some tub crayons.. does anyone have those?

Cute sig pic, by the way. I can't believe how OLD these "babies" are getting!!!

I know, it's flying! Easter is actually our anniversary this year too, so I was more focused on that Biggrin Addy already has two pink stuffed bunnies (that she loooooves) so I don't think she really needs more of those...I'll probably make it small and just get her a few treats, maybe some new shoes (since she needs them anyway!) and a couple of fun things. Art supplies are a GREAT idea...I saw some travel crayon whiteboard thing I was thinking she might like, so maybe I'll pick that up.

Since we're traveling, I've had to scale down to travel-able items. Lots of arts & crafts, I'll probably grab Hop, I got Alice the Laugh & Learn Puppy, not sure what Sammie's big-ish gift will be that is transportable.

We had bath crayons for Sammie and I'll never buy them again---I could never fully get the walls clean until I bleached for 7 straight days when we were moving from Germany. Instead we do the bath things you throw in and it changes the colors.

Oh and they need bubble bath, toothbrush & paste always in their baskets, new loofas.

All little tikes is buy 1 get 1 free up to a 29.99 value at Toys R us this week.. just so you guys know Smile I think I am gunna go back and get the bowling set and tee ball set for Emma since one would be free LOL!

Okay, so I just need to get the actual basket and I'm done now...and actually really excited about it. There's this cute store where my SIL and I sell our handmade children's clothes, and when I was in there the other day Adair gravitated toward this basket of handmade stuffed animals and grabbed a bunny. It looks just like those big old fashioned sock monkeys but it's white with purple stripes and a purple scarf--it's adorable. Anyway, she carried it around the store for half an hour, and so yesterday I snuck back and got it for her. It was kind of expensive, but I want to support the store anyway, and she is obsessed with both bunnies and purple, and I promised DH I would get rid of some of her other stuffed animals she doesn't play with. So: justified Wink

I had already gotten her that crayon whiteboard thing, so she'll get that, the bunny, and a bunch of plastic eggs filled with colored goldfish and raisinets, which she will love. Now it just needs to be Easter!

ETA: Oh, look, here's a picture from the store's FB page! It not either of these, but it's just like the one on the right except white with thin purple stripes. You can't really tell, but they're big--over a foot tall.

Right?! The store doesn't sell online, but the stuffed animal makers do (2 Lil' Monkeys)--here's their facebook page--looks like that's how they take orders. Click on "about" for the info Smilehttps://www.facebook.com/pages/2-lil-monkeys-shop/179811842060392

We do the same thing every year ~ bathing suits, new beach towels, goggles, bubbles, sidewalk chalk etc. A little "get ready for summer" basket Smile We aren't big candy eaters, and they get enough in the myriad of egg hunts we do, so what they get, they get there.

Lexi got a little bit of candy (shes not a huge fan) a stuffed Lamb, some playdo, and a couple other things I cant remember right now. lol We also took this opportunity to rid ourselves of the pacifier. What we did was the night before she went to bed w/o a paci, so in the morning when she got up and asked for it we told her the Easter bunny had visited and brought her presents and in exchange he took her paci's because he needed them for his baby bunnies at home. She understood and has only asked a couple times this week for a paci and then we will ask her where they went and she will tell us that since shes a big girl the baby bunnies have them now Smile

So cute that Lexi thinks the bunnies have her pacis! That worked out perfect!

Since my boys' birthday is 3 days after Christmas, they really do not get any new toys any other time of year. My ds is Jan 3, and my dd sep, so no spring toys at our house it seems, so we do a little more for Easter, but not overboard, I think.

We usually do a flashlight easter egg hunt sometime during the weekend. Super fun even for the older kids (had my teenage nephews join us this year lol). With just candy and such in our backyard, needs to be by flashlight as it is not landscaped enough to have many hiding places. lol. Too much candy this year!

The Easter Bunny brought the boys a Tball set to share and a movie each (Letter Factory--which they absolutely LOVE) and Horton Hears a Who (because it was the movie deal of the day on Amazon that day lol). and a small toy story toy each. Then a menagerie of small dollar store toys, little cars, bubbles, flash card things, etc. Smile
