I had my checkup yesterday (Tuesday). All looks wonderful. Lizzie is doing great. MY bp was wonderful and Lizzie little heart was beating at 140. My chief concerns were not sleeping, numbness in hands, swelling in feet and nausea.
My doctor (who I waited 20 minutes for nay to see for 5 minutes) told me that the nausea was from everything being pushed up and to eat more, frequent smaller meals, cold drinks and crackers. Numbness in hands to get to stress balls, elevate my hands and squeeze stress balls. For the sleepless nights, he sais I could every once in awhile take some Benadryl, but he doesn't recommened it all the time. He said that's all he would allow me to take , no Tylenol PM. He said it is better for me and Lizzie to get a natural sleep.
I had a breastfeeding class at the hospital where we will be delivering. Awesome class. I learned so much! They showed a video of a woman who had a natural birth. The baby was placed near her breast, and the baby crawled to the breast and began feeding. It was amazing. I was also extremely happy and excited to learn about all the things the lactation center in our hospital offers. I feel so much better with the staff and hospital.
I was upset because I wanted to have maturity photos taken. I am photographer and took my SIL's and friens's (I have some on my website, if you are ever bored www.kerriwenzel.com). But I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for any and then really wondered if I wanted them. I found out today that the hostesses of my upcoming shower on July 9, got me a portrait session this Saturday as my gift. I am so excited and grateful. Can't wait to show of the pictures!
On an unrelated note, I will be an aunt (hopefully) today (Wednesday) for the first time. My SIL is being induced. I was really upset when they got pg before me, I'm the oldest and had been married longer than 2 minutes (they supposedly got pg on honeymoon). But now I am extremely happy that I can't watch all the hoopla with giving birth - including how my parents will act. So thanks to them for going first.
okay - sorry for al the borning stuff. I need to post some pics of the nursery and my belly. Hugs to all of you.
