36 week appt

It was uneventful. lol.
Baby is measuring right on 36 weeks... so go figure. its smaller than last time so I'm guessing he dropped more? Doc didnt seem concerned. My BP is good and babys HB was good and I gained 2 lbs.

I have my u/s next Tuesday and then I go see the doc on Wed next week so I can get the u/s results and discuss final plans for the csec on the 19th. YIKES its sooo close now.

Glad things were uneventful, but not for LONG!  You have less then 2 weeks now!
I have a question; did you come up with any type of birth plan for your c-section? My doctor told me I could request that they “milk” the cord before cutting, and if I wasn’t bleeding a lot they might wait awhile on the placenta, stuff like that.

uneventful is good. can't believe that so many of you are right around the corner to having babies. or as in GDSGFT007 already had them.

Um, as of right now no, but I' m going to ask my zillion questions next week, after we've had a peek at baby and I get my thoughts together, right now my brain is still a mess. lol!
I have already said that DH stays with baby (so if baby had to go to NICU or anything DH would go with him). I didnt know they could "milk" the cord, thats interesting. I guess its like letting it finish pulsing after a vag. birth?

you can also ask that the baby comes back to you while they're stitching you up or that DH is allowed to do skin to skin contact.
don't forget too that if you have someone else with you like your Mom that you can have that person come back and sit with you after DH leaves to be with baby.

THats what I was told. Any little thing helps right?

My doc also told me I could not have a replacement come in after dH and Baby Ben left the room, that they do a twilight sleep thing while they stitch you back up. But I will ask that DH do the skin to skin thing, that's an awesome idea. I love the little stuff that makes the surgery seem more normal. Ha last night at doctors appointment when we were talking about vbac vs surgery doc talked about how my chances were pretty much 0 because I had made it all the way to pushing and "failed" were her words, man that got me sad. I don't think she realized her wording was a poor choice, I know doctors are only human, but I'm still pretty sensitive about the c-section thing. And wow do they make vbac's sound scary! I have till the 18th to decide, but they did schedule c-section on the morning of the 1st of Aug. THey also kept pushing the date up for the c-section, I told them NO... why push things sooner? If I go into labor then thats fine, do it then, but I see no reason if my health is fine to go sooner.

You must be getting excited and all those other emotions. I can't believe we will all start having our babies soon.

I agree don't let them talking you into having the c/s too soon. especially if there's no medical reason for it. Babies need to bake as long as they can.

I am glad you had a "boring" appt.

Not much longer now.
