Bellybutton

Did you start as an innie or outie?

Are you now an innie or an outie?

If you are now an outie...when did it happen (how many weeks)?

Thanks, I am trying to prepare for that "trauma" as I can tell it is getting close 'cause it is getting flat. Smile

I started out as an innie and have been flat for quite a while now. The weird thing about mine is where I had to take out my navel ring it looks like a bruise b/c it's off color. So I have a bruise right above a flat belly button that also looks kinda like a bruise. HOT. lol

I have always had an innie (even while prego with DD). However it is now flat and when I stand up and the babies are in the right spot it sticks out a little.

I took mine out years ago but where the holes were/are (they never went away 100%) it is sore to touch (I will have to ask midwife about this next time I go) but it is not discolored.

i started out as an innie.

I'm not an outie and have been with this pregnancy since about 9 weeks. Its popped out with each pregnancy and each time earlier than the last.

my DH calls it the baby's parascope, checking out the world.

sometimes depending on teh position of the baby it will pull flat but then it goes back to poking out.

I'm normally an innie, but I've been an outie since about 25 weeks. Smile

An innie. I've never got the cute outie that comes with pregnancy. Sometimes it's kinda flat, but it never actually pokes out.

Funny things those belly buttons: I'm normally an innie-- with DS, I was an outie by 24 weeks, with DD, it never did pop out all the way, it sorta stayed just under my belly, and with this one, I've been an outie since about 32 weeks. And they look cute through the shirt but mine is dark in the center, lol, it looks like it's dirty but it's not really.

I'm an innie, still an innie. I didn't get an outie with DS but it did go flat right at the end.

Mine was an innie and has been out for a while, way too early this time but I don't remember when. I think it was 2 factors, the fact that it was all jacked up still from my first pg and that I had a laperoscopy some years ago and they went in through my belly button, I swear it is broken, it will never be the same Sad

Mine was an innie but now it is such an outie, it looks like an open mouth actually Sad

DH calls me the "3 nipple purple people eater" because of it - don't ask, have NO idea what it means but we end up laughing on the floor with it! That and I've not been um, wearing bra's so always standing to attention.

Got silicone nipple covers though!

Um, outie...about 5-6 weeks ago?

Started as an innie and still mostly there. With DD1 it got real flat at the end and I'm at that point now so I guess there's a chance of it popping. I also have discoloration where I removed my belly ring which seems to get worse when I'm pregnant.

I'm an innie and stayed an innie with DS. I'm still an innie! I wanted to have an outie so badly when I was pg with DS and it never happened. lol. This time I'm not holding my breath.
Its flatter than normal and stretched to make it flat, but no outtie yet. Sad

So are any of you numb around your belly button? When I run my hand over it that area feels weird, kinda like it's numb because it's stretched so much I assume.

Mine feels weird too. But it's more like tenderness, not really numb. I am guessing it's just from all the stretching. And BTW, I think:

I remember mine was numb with dd. This time it was super sore like it was bruised, for a long time, luckily that has finally gone away.

i have a very deep innie belly button and i didnt think i would get anywhere close to an outie. well i am currentlyflat, the one side is threatening to pop out any day. DH is watching it closely LOL i once had a belly button ring and the hole had turned red. my belly button is very sensitive to touch, kinda like little electric shocks, KWIM?

I agree, we should start a thread to show our belly's, and all our stretch mark glory LOL

I've always been an innie and with my pregnancies it just goes flat. I still have a little tiny dent where it goes in a little bit, but it never actually pops out. Where my navel ring was it was discolored with my first, but this time it isn't.

Mine was super tender the first pregnancy for a little while...then it got better. This time its just numb. Its weird to touch it lol!

Mine is tender to the touch also but only near where the top hole used to be (hole from ring).
