full moon=attitudes?

so can i just say how many ppl i have had to takl to at work have yelled at me lately!!??

i think ima gonna start taking my own advice that i left on Jaimes thread and start each conversation with "Hi im laura but im preggo so dont YELL at me!!".

i work for non profit with about 2400 volunteers in our state. we have a big event coming up in july and there is a website designated for information about htis event as wel as contact information for ppl with questions. no problem. so i received about 4 phone calls in the last 2 days with questions that i could not answer about this event. each one i referred them to the email address that was provided specifically for questions for this event. again, no biggie. until each one of them decided to yell at me for not knowing the answering. i am here for support and to guide ppl to where and who they need, among several other things i juggle. so why, when i do MY job, do ppl get mad at me??? i gave you your answer! JERKS!

i would never use pregnancy as an excuse for any mistakes or for any attitude that i would have, though a few excourage me too LOL. however, it is a valid excuse!! This week i am battling alot of stress in my personal life, stress at work, preggo hormones and migrains since last thursday (yes i will mention them to my dr), all of which i can handle. but yelling at me sets me off! I went home with a headache yesterday Wink

Full moons around here tend to be a little wild!! i look at the moon schedule and it falls 2 days before my EDD!! UT OH!! im in trouble come August! they say woman labor more around full moon too ....

anyone else lives get crazy around full moon time!

You know I'm RIGHT there with ya!! Maybe it is a full moon thing? Hopefully people will relax and stop yelling at you. Just because you work there doesn't mean you have ALL the answers for everything. You should ask them some random question and then yell at them when they don't know the answer.

FYI - I went into labor the night of a full moon with DD - she was delivered the next morning. There was no one in L&D when I arrived. Before the night was up, all the rooms were completely full and they had to put people in the spare wing. All the nurses commented how you could tell it was a full moon.

Although many women don't like to use pregnancy as an excuse - let me tell you, pregnancy is hard (hence why men don't go through it Wink )and we deserve a little break now and again.

Yep, totally the full moon. Ask any one who works with kids (day care, teachers etc) The kids go NUTS at the full moon, teenagers are worse, and for that matter so are adults. babies also get fussy at the full moon. I use the full moon as the "oh that explains it" excuse ALL the time when its a full moon. It seriously explains so much. Give it 2 or 3 days and things will calm down. I've joked about considering writing a research paper on it! lol... But Im sure theres already a bunch out there. It definitely makes people crazy.

I hope things get better for you. take a deep breath, eat some chocolate (or other treat) and try to relax. A few days and it'll calm down again!!!!

That just reminded me....

last summer i had a nite out with mymom and my SIL. we went out for sushi and stopped at this wiccan/pagan type store. the kind that sells stones, jewelr, insense, books on magic etc. my SIL asked teh lady who owned the shop what would help me conceive and she pointed to some smokey quartz as well as a little tiny figurine of a preggo goddess of some sort. at this point we had been trying to conceive for so long, i figured what the hell, and got a few, along with a nice little thing to keep them in. they are still next to my bed. anywho...this woman came in getting what ever she got and i started a conversation with my SIL about full moon and how crazy things get for me around full moon. did i mention that nite was a full moon?? well the woman grabbed her changed that fast, gave me the "look" and basically ran out of the store. i didnt understand, until my SIL said that ppl like her dont like to be around ppl like me. apparently the full moons is osmething good and magical to pagans. ooops, i didnt know.
