How much plug is there?

This is probably a weird question - but how much plug do we have? Is it like a TON, or a lot, or a bunch?? I ask because on Tuesday I lost a bunch of my plug. This is prolly TMI - so I don't blame you for skipping over it - it was probably a good 2.5" - 3". I seriously didn't know what the heck to do with it (I was in the shower) it was that much. I've been watching to see if I'm losing anymore, and it doesn't seem like I am. A little here and there...but I'm wondering how much there is?

I was really surprised at how much I lost with DD. I had huge chunks of it every time I went to the bathroom for two days. Also, maybe some of what you are having isn't necessarily plug, but just normal increased discharge. I had that towards the end with her too.
Are you still contracting?

No idea, with dd my water just broke everywhere, so the plug must have been among that but I wasn't there to clean up that mess, poor dh.

I thought it might be...but it was very gooey - gross I know...sorry! It was like a giant string of EWCM I guess. I'm still tightening...I don't know if I would consider it contractions. They have started to occassionally be in my back - which is what I had with my first. I'm really hoping for just another couple of weeks Smile

Definitely sounds like something is still going on. I hope you can keep her baking for a few weeks!

Your plug will continue to regenerate until the baby is here - so you might be doing what I call "the snail trail" for quite awhile. Not fun - I did that with my 4th baby.

I lost about that much at one time and then I would lose like gum ball size pieces until delivery (like PP said, it keeps regenerating itself). My rule of thumb is that if there is no blood in it, you are prolly not going to go into labor soon. Smile When i lost mine with DS, there was blood in it and i went into labor the next day.
