How are the nurseries coming along?

We are done, lol! I didn't have to really do anything though so that helped. The bedding I got matched the paint already in the room (used to be DS's room) and we already had a crib from DD. I bought a dresser and that's together and his clothes are in it (though some of the clothes need to be washed and those are not in it yet). I bought a storage thing for all his cloth diapering things and that's put together and the diapers are in it. As some of you cloth diapering moms know, it takes quite a few washes for some of the diapers to become absorbant so I'm still in the process of washing those when I'm washing other stuff. His closet is organized and the bedding is in his crib (though it will have to come out when he gets here, or atleast the bumper and comforter). All I have left to do is put get the blinds hung, buy a carseat, and a friend is getting me a pack 'n play. We are getting the carseat this month b/c I just got my BRU rewards and they expire the 31, so I'll get that and then get it installed in July. I'm glad there wasn't much to do b/c all my extra "new baby" attention has been going towards the insurance company and trying to get them to approve the birthing center birth, the rest of my attention goes to my other children. We are wrapping up the school year (YAY!) and really looking forward to some family time this summer and our new arrival. We'll be on the lake most of the summer which my MW just told me to stay out the lake water as it can cause infections so I guess I'll be on the boat of in charge of the grilling, lol. Anywho, what else do you have left to do? What else do you need to buy? I need to go back through clothes again to see what I need... they grow so fast that I like to have pleanty of newborn to atleast 9 months stocked up. p.s. I'll post some pix today in another thread. Smile

I haven't even started.

With DD, I don't think she moved into her room until she was 6 mo old.

I really don't feel rushed to get it done. The room is the last of my worries. I always worry more about needing things I will use right away like car seat, diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, and outfits for a newborn.

No nursery. But DD didn't use her room until she was 8 mos. And I plan on just putting this baby in her room anyway. Once s/he's born, I maybe redecorate DD's room for the both of them, and make it more fun for DD so she likes the idea of sharing and adding the crib. We'll see.

Mostly, I just feel really set. I am toying with just going ahead and buying the convertible carseatbefore Baby comes and using that from the get-go, since I really hated the bucket seat, but we'll see.

I'm actually planing on working on that this weekend but I'm not in any rush to have it completely done. The nursery was ds old room so the main thing I'm trying to get done is getting everything moved from his old room to his new bigger room. This lo will be in our room for awhile, he'll sleep in his own room for naps but that's about it.

Becca,

I can’t wait to see pics! I bet that’s a load off. We still have a list of stuff to get done, but I love working on it! My latest thing is wanting to pack a bag for the hospital even though there is still like 10 weeks! 

Luckily, if I get to go to the birthing center, this is one thing I won't have to do and I'm relieved! I can go home as soon as 4 hours after he is born (but I'm prolly gonna wait a little longer). The MW will come to my house at 24 and 48 hours after birth to check on us. Smile

That would be so nice to go home that soon!

My sister and her husband are coming up the first week of June to help my hubby try to get the room ready. We have to move all out of the room and then start making it a nursery. The cribs and chair have arrived here, so that's a start right? haha

My bigger anxiety is not knowing what we have vs what we need. DH has taken all gifts back home, so if he doesn't get me an inventory soon I know my sister will right away. Then I need to work on getting the rest of what I think we'll need - like boppies and a second bouncy chair. I also told DH to be prepared to help me pack a small bag on his next visit. I'm sure we'll head in before most others here so it needs to be ready now. Eek.

We won't be moving the baby into DD's room until he's 6 months or so. Even then, it will just be on a trial basis. If they don't sleep well in the same room then we'll convert our office/guest room into a nursery. So we're waiting until then to do much.

I do need to buy a crib to put in our room though, and I need to order the bedding i like.

NO nursery yet - We move in 5 weeks so everything will go up the first week of July. Its giving me a bit of nesting anxiety knowing that, but packing up all the baby stuff we have and organizing it should help that a bit. (I hope).

Well, I'm not technically due in August, so I'm way behind everyone else of course Wink This being baby #4 all of our bedrooms are full! So baby will be in our room, I painted our room and rearranged last weekend in preparation of putting baby's crib in our room. My mom has the crib at her house so whenever she can get it here I'm going to go searching for some kind of rubbermaid 'dresser' that will fit in our room comfortably and will fit baby's clothes and diapers. Whenever I get some spare time Lol I plan on sewing baby's sheets, but we'll see. As long as everything is set up by 32 weeks I'll be happy, after that I know I won't want to worry about it or work on it, plus I had my older two between 34-35 weeks so who knows when baby will come and if I'll be on bedrest at the end.

Its so not coming along. We started rearranging our room last weekend to make room for the pack n play, where the baby will sleep for the first 5 or so months and the glider. But then we hit our exhaustion point and have yet to move the bed, we also can't agree on where to move it. Moved dd's room around a bit to make room for a crib and another dresser but we haven't finished that much either. We have been so busy with other things lately that I haven't had time to do much or energy.

Nothings done yet. We live in a 3 bdrm home. Unfortunately it's not that spacious. The 3rd bdrm has my hubby's desk and computer in it and we can't move it because there isn't anywhere to put it. My room isnt all that big either. Our bdrm furniture takes up most of the space in there. So we decided to divide the 3rd bdrm. Maybe buy some folding screens to enclose the computer and desk(small vent....I really wanted to move to a bigger place before the baby came. But we also needed a better car. Since we have the car now DH says we may have to stay here for another year. Arghhhh!). Also I am waiting to see what we get at the shower(s) before I buy anything. Actually the only thing I really want to buy now is either an amoire or a small dresser and some baskets for organizing the diapers and etc.

No nursery here. I would love to be able to do one, but I felt like it was a waste of time for DS. Plus we are trying to sell our house and don't want to repaint or redecorate anything....
I need to buy a carseat and a few diapers and we're set. I've got 10 more weeks to worry about it Smile
