How are you staying cool?

I don't know about the rest of the U.S. and Canada, but we are having a record-breaking hot/dry Summer here in OK. Today it was 104 degrees and it will be above 100 all week.
I've been spending most of the daytime inside in air conditioning. When I go for my walk in the evenings, I try to get wet in the kiddy pool before I leave then jump in the tub filled with cool water when I get back. It's been in the 90s even at 8:30 at night when I'm walking. I also find that just sipping ice water constantly really helps.
How is everyone handling the heat? What do you do to stay cool enough and hydrated?

Luckily it hasn't been too hot here (except the past 2 days!) But when it does get hot, we mostly stay inside in the a/c. I can't imagine it being 104! When it hits 80 here it's hot!

We've been hot (upper 90s, low 100s) and humid here! I can take the heat better than the heat AND the humidity-- I usually just stay inside unless there is water involved. I seriously just avoid the outdoors like the plague.

Staying inside! I don't know how you go walking in the evenings. We've gone to the pool a couple times but it seems to be even too hot for that sometimes!

We use our a/c a lot and I try and run errands before lunch or after dinner. It has been in the high 90's here/low 100's with heat index and it's insane. We do swim in our pool a lot and have been swimming in the ocean a lot too when we go to the beach. Sometimes even the pool isn't cooling because it's so warm!

In the 100s every day here in Texas too. We went to an awesome local swimming hole today and I just floated around while DH played with DD. It was wonderful.

We've been lucky, its just been in the 90s here for a short time and this week its 80s. But when it is hot I just stay inside, though the heat isn't bothering me as much as just being pregnant, so over it.

AC here as well. when i do end up outside for any extended periods i try to make sure i've got something really cold to drink and hold. Sunday we sat outside with our feet in the kiddie pool while the kids splashed around.
