I'm glad I had done all that...

... nesting earlier on b/c now, I just can't bring myself to do anything! This is prolly gonna get sorta long... so I had gone through our house, one room at a time, and cleaned a TON of stuff out and took it to Goodwill-- now, I can't even keep up with the basic housework due to a combination of barely being able to bend over, having no energy, and no motivation. Well, I have no motivation mainly b/c we are house hunting and found the perfect home and got pre-approved on the home and made an offer... so in my mind, I'm like, why go cleaning this place like that until after all the stuff is out if we are gonna be moving out of it, lol. Then my realtor tells me closing can take anywhere from a week to two months! She doesn't think it will take that long but wanted to prepare me since the baby is due in two months. So basically, if closing take two months, and I have the baby or I'm too close to having him to move, then we will be staying here until I feel up to moving (no rush to get out of house right now, though we have been throwing the idea of selling it around as we have a person interested in buying it and it would help to have a better downpayment on the new place). I don't want to move into the new place until I have painted the kid's rooms and the living room, I wanted to do the kitchen, too but I guess that can come with time and the paint in there isn't horrible... but I refuse to move before then and that can a week to get done, so even if we can move in a week (move our furniture), I would still wait it out so I could do it right and organized by painting first... ANYWHO-- I just hate the feeling of not being settled before the baby is born. I guess I'll try to stay as organized and calm as I can and try to let it go. I'm sorta trying to except that we won't be in the new place before he's born but maybe I'll be pleasantly suprised. Ok, there's my sorta rant. And how are you ladies coping with bending over, I just can't really do it anymore... I bend at the waist, not below my breasts and that's where Alex's legs are right now (I do believe he is gonna be a big one). Squatting hurts my legs as well...

yeah i end up spreading my legs wide and then bending over or using my toes to pick up stuff. my husband always says i've got Monkey Toes.
i understnad your lack of motivation i've got the same issues.

congrats on teh new house though i hope it doesn't take as long as 2 months to get closed on it though. and it would be nice to sell your current house and have that larger down payment. i understnad though wanting it to be painted before you move into it though.

so is the new house larger? what made you buy it?

I am in terrible shape. I have a hard time keeping up. I am lucky to make it through the work day. Thank goodness I have a house keeper or things would be really bad. Once a week she does all the laundry and cleans the house from top to bottom. It is a life saver! However, I still have not organized any of the babies things. I have a huge mound in the dining room I need to go through and put away - I just don't have the energy.

I understand the whole moving thing. We just broke ground to build a house when I got prego with DD. We had to sell the house we were living in before we starting making full house payments on the new one. We ended up selling the house we were living in in July (she was due in Aug) and was forced to move into the new house even though it wasn't finished. While 9 months prego I was sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The floors were not finished (just plywood) and we only had one working toliet. We only had one working shower/bath and no kitchen at all. The walls weren't painted and both my DH and I were working full time. It was miserable but we made it. Poor DD didn't have her room painted and crib until after christmas.

The house is bigger by about 150 sq. feet and it has more acreage but the main thing is that it is not right next door to family, namely my dh's grandmother who raised him and loves to meddle in our lives constantly, lol. i just cannot take it anymore so we decided to move once dh got settled into his new job-- he's been there a year now. we've been looking throughout most the pregnancy and finally found this one, it's perfect. right around the corner from their school, right around the corner from wal-mart, lowes, another grocery store, several shopping strips, etc. everything we could ever need is five mins. away but it is far enough away from family that we have some privacy. it's four bedrooms, two baths, a huge kitchen and laundry room and a huge living room, it also has seperate dining room which will be dh's office. the back yard is already fenced in, so that is awesome b/c we enjoy our yard being fenced in now with the kids. both neighbors on either side have children the age of our's... i think after some paint and some TLC from me decorating wise, it'll be home. Smile there is some yard work that will need to be done, bushes that need to be trimmed, etc. but i will work on that this fall when it cools down. i'm really hoping things work out and we just get the house-- whether we can move into it sooner or later doesn't matter much at this point... it's just in a great location and big enough for us. Smile

That sounds super awesome. Nice to be close to conviences especially at the cost of gas these days.
Fingers crossed that you get it sooner rather than later!

Sounds great!! The house sounds wonderful and well suited to what you need.

I feel you on the family front, DH's family surrounds us and they are nuts! Like crackhead, alcoholic gamblers nuts. luckily they are so busy destroying their lives they don't bother us often, but when they do it's awkward and embarassing at family/friend gatherings they aren't invited to.

Sounds like a great house! I hope you get it!

I could NOT live that close to family. THe closest we live to family is my mom and that is about a 20 minute drive. I think I'd go crazy living that close to family.

Good luck with the house! We moved 6 months ago and I still don't feel settled. I can't imagine doing it with a newborn! Hope all goes well and you can close sooner rather than later. Our closing on this house was a nightmare - I don't think I could have handled it pregnant!

thanks ladies! i am praying, praying, praying for a smooth closing. Got some good news, my realtor for some reason thought it was a foreclosure and thus the reason it would take so long to close but it's not, so the closing shouldn't take long! we are meeting today to find out about our offer, say a prayer!!!
