a little scared..

I got a call from my doctors nurse on friday, but didnt get the message till I was done with work and by that time they were closed. It was a long weekend... Thankfully I was able to enjoy yesterday with all my huge family which helped distract me.
I called right this morning and played phone tag with the nurse..ugh! When we finally did talk on the phone, she explained to me that after my second ultra sound last wed. (this baby girl was moving so much with the first one, the tech couldnt get all the measurements.. the tech was chuckling and made the comment, this is the most active baby she has seen in a long time:))
The nurse explained to me they want to get more in depth pictures of the babys heart and the flow of blood back and forth to the lungs.(the thought just scares me) She said everything else looked good, but I have to go to the major clinic about 1 1/2 hours away where they have more high tech ultra sound equipment to really see what is going on. Unfortunately they couldnt get me in any sooner than may 6th. which means plenty of time for me to think about it and try not to freak out. Sad
I am trying to keep myself from jumping to conclusions, but its hard..
It doesnt help that I think about when my first daughter was born, she had a tough start, I ended up with pre eclampsia and was indused. Aurora had the cord wrapped around her neck 3 times, wasnt breathing, so they had to do CPR on her. aurora ended up with an airbubble in her lungs.. She was in the NICU for a week on oxygen(she had a hard time breathing on her own) and had IV's hooked up to her giving her fluids since she didnt want to eat, plus jaundice. I know that most of her issues where due to chance and her being 3 weeks early.. thankfully she is a healthy active little girl now. I am blessed for the chance to have a second little girl, I just have to keep hoping it is something minor that will fix itself. or at least can be fixed..

I am glad you have an active baby - my DD (who the u/s techs said the same thing about) is quiet a handful now. She is just as active after being born, so good luck to you keeping up with your LO. Smile

It is hard to get pics of the LO, especially the active ones. They are just wanting a better look. I have had to have a 2nd indepth u/s at a university (2hrs away) to check the twins hearts better and both were fine. They just wanted a better look. I believe it is probably the same with yours.

I have had to have a second ultrasound to get a better view of the heart because my LO was all curled up. Everything was okay. The doctor said he just wanted a better view. Just as the pp post said it's probably the same with yours.

good luck and I hope things go well for you, it's great they are checking into things! I'm sure it's just because your LO was so hard to track.

this will be my 3rd ultrasound, they were able to get all the measurements with the second one but saw something that they didnt like, and want to take a closer look..

I will be thinking of you. I hope it is nothing.
